Cieszyn
is
the
main
pedestrian
gateway
from
Poland
to
the
Czech
Republic.
Just
south
of
Ul
Gleboka,
the
pedestrian
bridge
Most
Przyjazni
over
the
Olza
River
is
the
official
border
between
the
two
countries.
Close
to
the
bridge,
the
narrow
street
that
runs
along
the
Mlynowka
Canal
is
Ul
Przykopa,
a
picturesque
meandering
passageway
that
accommodates
a
number
of
exclusive
country
houses.
One
of
these
large
country
houses,
restored
and
fashionably
converted
has
been
turned
into
Pizzeria-Restauracja
Wenezja,
undoubtedly
the
best
Italian
eatery
in
town,
if
not
in
the
whole
of
Silesia.
The
indoor
area
is
of
immense
proportions.
The
rustic
decor
is
a
real
hang-out
where
the
atmosphere
is
unfailingly
friendly,
pleasant
and
entertaining.
But
walk
to
the
gargantuan
open
space
at
the
back
and
you
will
find
yourself
lost
in
the
vastness
of
the
spaciousness.
Covered
with
a
canopied
roof
that
allows
light
through
but
shelters
guests
from
rain
and
sun
alike,
this
is
the
ideal
place
to
entertain
a
dozen
or
more
of
your
workmates
or
your
whole
family
on
a
summer
night.
The
Italian
menu,
in
Polish
only
is
as
vast
as
the
dining
space
and
constitutes
a
long
list
of
delicious
pasta
dishes,
grilled
meat
dishes
(all
served
with
a
salad
of
your
choice
and
French
fries)
and
tasty
salads
with
a
choice
of
cheeses.
The
list
of
pizzas
is
overwhelmingly
long
and
each
pizza
comes
in
three
sizes:
small,
average
and
large.
Mind
you,
large
means
large
at
Wenecja
and
its
size
is
undoubtedly
beyond
eating-it-all.
The
prices
are
so-and-so,
but
always
less
expensive
than
other
restaurants
in
the
neighbourhood.
The
range
of
beer,
Polish
and
foreign
is
vast
and
the
varieties
of
cocktails
with
rum,
vermouth
and
vodka
are
the
largest
in
Cieszyn.
