Great place for fried chicken. Great Bloody Marys!! Candy bacon is a great touch. Mac and cheese and the fried chicken is what I always get. Also the blackened shrimp salad is good!! Only thing Is the honey/hot sauce, it’s good but just a tad sweet for me. Still good though.

I haven’t tried every fried chicken place in the world, but I think I can say with great confidence that this is the best fried chicken on the planet. The meat is so juicy and tender. Not-too-thick breading with a great crunch. And the seasoning in the breading is out of this world with the perfect kick of spice. The coleslaw is divine and truly something special. And the spoon bread and collards are fantastic!

What a find! Hammering back from the Northeast it was time for lunch and a sit down in something other than a car seat. Cincinnati was coming up so we started the online search flipping through reviews and stars, The Eagle popped up and looked like it was worth a try. Apparently chicken is there specialty, wasn't sure if I was in the mood for that but why not as the sides looked worth the stop. Nice little modern downtown place, hopping for sure. Small but plenty of tables and a nice bar, people buzzing around coming and going with the wait staff slinging plates all around. Downside...the acoustics in this place are awful, I may be getting old but I felt myself raising my voice to hold a conversation (like everyone else I suppose). The downside of a popular spot. The food? Where do I start... Menu had so many good choices it was hard to decide what to try, especially watching all the dishes flying out of the kitchen. I don't think we have ever had a hat trick of plates where everything was a 10. We did the BLT chicken sandwich - excellent, grilled cheese (not just any grilled cheese, this thing has several cheeses and granny smith apples on grilled sour dough good grief) - excellent, white chedder grits (spicy) - excellent, and spoon bread which is a sweet cornbread with maple butter- excellent! Food a must try and warrants a stop.

The chicken is super moist and excellent, one of the best. Must try the spicy chicken dip, it is awesome order 2 YOU'LL wish you had. Mac and cheese is also excellent. Great beer selection along with cocktails, and whiskeys. Why have I not been here sooner. Will be coming back very soon.

Amazing!!!! Everything I tasted was delicious. I had the Chicken sandwich which had a tasty bite to it. The shrimp and grits were were a lovely side dish along with the cornbread. All of the chicken was seasoned to perfection. If you are ever in the downtown Cincinnati area, do yourself a favor and visit The Eagle!!!

My oh my! This is a place where you can't go wrong with anything you order. If you haven't had the fried chicken here, please stop what you're doing and go now. Not only cooked and seasoned to perfection, but they add a "honey hot sauce" that takes it up another level... And the sides make my mouth water just writing this review. Seriously CHEESY Mac n cheese, deliciously seasoned succotash, mouth watering collared greens and spoon bread that puts some south in your mouth. It's stupid hard to get in on weekend nights, so plan ahead or come at lunch. It's a fun atmosphere, great food and drinks and one OTR food stop you do not want to miss. Tip- They do takeout, but wait times are bad. We've waited 30-60 minutes AFTER the time they said our food would be ready. They do a lot of catering, so you'll compete with the restaurant and catering orders.

First off, let me say that the atmosphere of this cute little place was exceptional, as was the service!! We ate out front on the patio, which was lovely! Our super sweet server, named Peyton, was excellent! Very friendly, informative and always checking in with us periodically to see if we needed anything. We tried several dishes while dining here. We had the whole chicken(which consisted of 8 pieces: 2 breasts, 2 wings, 2 drumsticks and 2 thighs), spoon bread with maple butter, fries with aioli, and the biscuits with blackberry jam and honey butter. Let’s start with the chicken, it was juicy and tasted good. I wouldn’t say it was extraordinary, I’ve had way better, but it was good. The spicy honey that was served alongside was pretty tasty though! The spoon bread was good. Of all the recipes I’ve seen for spoon bread though, it’s more of a soufflé type texture. This was more typical cornbread texture, but the kicker was that it had celery in it…who does that??? Kinda ruined it for me after finding that in my next bite! The maple butter was delicious though!! The fries with their seasoning were delicious. Didn’t much care for the aioli…it was much too strong tasting. The winning dish of the whole dinner was the biscuits and the blackberry jam!!!! Those were fabulous!! Could’ve done without the honey butter, it was not very good, and neither was their regular butter. Not sure what they were using, but they might want to change that. My hubs had two local craft beers that he liked; the 50 West, and the Sonder You Betcha! Definitely try this place out, especially if you love fried chicken! Very cool place!!

This was my first time dining at this establishment, and I was enthralled with the service and the food. Everything was piping hot, fresh, and simply DELICIOUS. I'm a sucker for some hush puppies, and these are (no joke) probably the best I've ever had in my life. The grilled cheese was made with apples which added such a depth of flavor with the cheeses. The fries were garlicky and served in a large portion. The spoon bread was fantastic as a stand alone, but when paired with the tobasco honey sauce, it's out of this world. Our server was fantastic, attentive, and full of energy!

This place was so good! I suggest making a reservation ahead of time, but we waited and hour and it was so worth it. The chicken was juicy and crispy, all the sides were both plentiful and flavorful, our drinks were always full and the service was professional, courteous, and friendly. Shout out to Abigail for the amazing service.

My husband and I finally made it here after walking by it many times and hearing about it for years. We walked in on a Saturday afternoon and were seated at the “communal table”, which was just a larger table with a wooden divider in the middle. It was totally fine and worth not having to wait half an hour for a regular table. We ordered the candied bacon, which was out of this world! We then had the fried chicken and the mac and cheese, which totally deserves the “best mac and cheese in Ohio” award. Everything was amazing from the food to the service to the drinks.

Very tasty! I got the chicken B.L.T, Collards, Cheddar Grits, and Hush Puppies. The only item I wasn’t a fan of was the Greens. I was hoping for a salty and savory taste with some spice. They had a sour taste to them. I’m picky when it comes to my Greens. I can look past all that as the rest was great! Will be looking to dine in soon!!

We may have been over hyped by friends saying The Eagle is a must when visiting and known for "the best fried chicken." Everything was very, very good but neither I, nor my friend, thought it was exceptional. The chicken was cooked to perfection but there was nothing remarkable about the coating. Neither of us found the spicy honey to be spicey. The only thing truly unique was the candied bacon. It was a taste and texture that grew on us but it was too sweet to eat more than a strip. I recommend you try it. It's a unique foodie experience. The vibe was great, the people friendly and the the layout was interesting. It was very loud and filled with energy. If you are looking for a delicious meal that won't disappoint, I recommend The Eagle. But, if you are looking for unique, foodie, exceptional, pop in for a drink and candied bacon.

The food was amazing. I recommend any and everybody to visit the Eagle rather you driving through or staying a couple of nights. The service was great as well. One of the best restaurants I have ever been to. The honey mixed with hot sauce to put on the chicken was delicious. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Went here for lunch, warm and inviting place that is famous for their chicken, every local I talked to asked me if I had the chicken and yes it is worth it. Comes withe a sweet hot syrup on the side.

Listen up ya'll if you are in the mood for southern fried chicken and comfort food, look no further! The chicken is out of this world and the Mac and cheese is the creamiest I've ever had. You will not be disappointed!

This place was so good!!! I’m sad we don’t live in Cincinnati so we can eat here more often. We started with the spicy chicken dip and it was spicy and creamy and delicious. The Chicken BLT sandwich was AMAZING and the fries with comeback sauce made me so happy. My husband had the 1/4 chicken with collard greens. He loved it with the hot honey. The atmosphere is fun and our server Carlee was FANTASTIC! She was super friendly and made great suggestions. Definitely go here!!!

Who doesn’t love fried chicken? My partner is vegetarian and she’s excited to come with me for the kale salad. The Eagle is one of my go-to safe places to take people from out of town. Get the fried chicken, of course, with hot honey. All the sides are great and a good size for sharing. The mac and cheese is award winning. Fries are good. Corn bread is good. Be prepared for a wait if you arrive without a reservation during busy dinner hours.

The food was good. We didn't have reservations and they accommodated us on the patio and it immediately started raining and our server found space for us inside. Everyone was super nice. Would definitely return.

Fantastic chicken. I had the chicken BLT and every bite was full of flavor. It might be a bit salty for some people but I thought it was great. The Mac and cheese side was also perfect. Very happy with the overall experience.

Wow! If you’re looking for southern comfort food, this is the place for you! I ordered the fried chicken BLT, and it was amazing! What was even better was the mac & cheese! It was super creamy and had great flavor. Honestly some of the best mac & cheese that I’ve had!

Sat at the bar and our bartender was great! The food was perfect, as well as the drinks. I had the grilled cheese and whoa. The combination of sweet and savory was so good. Definitely try the French fries! I don’t know what magic they’re sprinkled with but they’re definitely the best I’ve ever had. 10/10

Shipped here for some late night dinner and it DI NOT DISSAPOINT! Some of the food combos might seem odd mixed together but TRUST THE PROCESS... the apples on the grilled cheese made it crunch and sweet, and the chicken club was INCREDIBLE BURST OF FLAVOR! If Mia is working SIT WITH HER she was attentive, sweet, and fun! She didn't push us out the door she told us to sit and enjoy the Cincinnati Street show haha.

Service, excellent. Food, okay. Got the chicken, cornbread, greens and Mac & cheese. Only thing hot was the Mac & cheese. For the price, not worth it. Just an over priced fast food restaurant. Service can only carry a restaurant, so far. Not very impressed.
