One of the nicest meals I’ve ever ate in my life. I ordered the crab bisque and 14 oz New York strip. The service was exquisite. The waiter listened and got my steak the exact way I like. (Pittsburgh medium, charred on the outside medium on the inside). The bisque was also delicious , very flavorful but not to rich where you get sick. The sides were all delicious as well. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough if you are in the Cincinnati area you have to come eat here!

It was a very romantic place with classy wait staff. The food was good but did not support the price. If you are a steak lover this is the place for you. I felt the menu was limited and odd in structure. UPDATE: After reading my review addressing my concerns the manager call me. He told me that he totally agreed with my concerns. He also sent me a giftcard to come back and dine. I am hoping to have a better experience. And I am happy that he cared enough to contact me.

There are multiple locations and all are great. One of the top steakhouses in the country. impeccable service, and ridiculous food. This is by far the best steak and Mac and cheese I’ve ever had. Best everything!! I will surely be back! My server, Cameron, was top tier and so attentive. He knew the menus like the back of his hand and was funny and such a joy. The atmosphere and everything is just top of the line!! Well worth the visit.

If you want the best steak in Cincinnati its Jeff Ruby's, great service too. The boneless ribeye could be cut with a fork and melted in your mouth. The garlic butter & bacon onion jam are the cherry on top and could go great on anything and elevated the side dishes even more

Great experience! It's easy to get a reservation last minute. Beautiful scenery. Brett was our waiter and he made sure we were taken care of for our first visit. We will be returning soon to take advantage of their cigar bar.

Jorge, my server the night I dined in with my husband on my birthday on 9/13/2023 made me feel like the most important client that night. He as well as the other staff members truly make the atmosphere of Jeff Ruby’s really come together. We were even greater by the manager to ensure our experience was top notch. He made sure we ordered the best items on the menu and explained everything, answering any questions I may have had. As well as speaking Spanish with my bilingual husband. There was another guy that served us our Jordan Ruby Cake and was above and beyond with presentation. It was truly a magical experience and really worth the penny if you want top of the line service and food. Thank you to Jeff Ruby’s and their fantastic team for making my birthday memorable.

Decided to try Jeff Ruby’s to celebrate my birthday, and it was an amazing experience. We did the valet, the ambiance and service was amazing! They think of everything to make it a memorable experience, from the napkins to the decor. Our server his name was Kris, and he had an assistant Dominic they knocked it out of the park. A manager came by as well to check on us. The filet mignon was very good, as well as the Mac n cheese. For my birthday we ordered the Air Ruby cake designed like a Jordan shoe. Awesome table side experience. My server also came out with a candle and a cookie to sing HBD. I will definitely be back

It's worth the hype. Everything from the front to the back end was a Fantastic experience, and the quality of the food was no exception. Steaks were perfect prepared, wine pairings were amazing, wait staff was courteous and knowledgeable. Truly a high end experience that is every bit worth the reputation.

We had our company Christmas party at the new Downtown Cincinnati Jeff Ruby's and what an amazing evening it was! Umit (I hope I have the spelling of his name correct) was fantastic! The food was as good as it gets and with the flawless service, it made it a VERY memorable evening! It was about as close to perfect as it gets! And the tour was a great additional touch to the experience. The new space made me forget the old space a little easier than anticipated as I did love the old location. As Ruby's is one of my favorite places to go dining in Cincinnati, but the group dinner event we had elevated it to THE BEST!

The best steakhouse! The service and food quality is unbeatable. The selection of seafood is great as well. We tried the East and West coast oysters, by far the best oysters i’ve had. Definitely worth it!

The food was delicious and it is absolutely gorgeous inside the place. I have to say though the service at Carlos and johnnys was better. My husband's drink sat empty for 20 minutes and the server walked by our table a few times and never acknowledged us. The manager did end up coming over and making things right.

3/29/22 Another fantastic dining experience at my favorite restaurant! Michael and Josh are always visible, greeting every guest. My favorite server, Jordan F is the absolute best!!!!!! Service with a smile…Always. Knows exactly what I want, when I want it, tells me what’s new on the menu that he believes I’ll enjoy & those imaginary white gloves are impeccable! Had a glass of wine 🍷 at the bar b4hand. Stellar service too. Everyone is just great! Sushi is fresh and I like the spicy ones the best. Of course, the best steaks ever! The carrot cake is enough for 4 but I only allow others a bite or 2 so I can bring it home for me! I love this place especially because I am treated like family & I feel special. Ty.

Dinner is always great here, but happy hour may be even better because they feature live music / pianist which really complements the cozy vibe. Delicious sushi and sides. I really enjoy that you can get the same excellent dishes and service whether you're sitting at the bar or at a table with a larger group.

Jeff Ruby’s is my favorite restaurant in the world! Hands down the single best dining experience available. The staff is so well-trained and on-point—they love their guests—you can feel it. The sushi is off the chain. The steaks are seasoned and cooked to perfection. The Mac and Cheese is by far the best I’ve ever tasted. Heck, even the wedge salad is better than any other restaurants I’ve tasted. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Great atmosphere and very very good staff. It's just not my cup of tea. The sushi was decent but expensive. I had a bite of steak and wasn't blown away (which I should be at that price point). The burger was good but the fries weren't great at all. The $52 fish dish was mushy and came covered in sauce. For the money, I'd rather have 2-3 meals at other nice restaurants in the area. EDIT: I was asked to reach out because of my review. I sent an email a week ago and got no response.

Jeff's newest Downtown location really knocked it out of the park! We had the large center table in front of the bar area for dual birthday's, elegantly decorated, and a very nice chandelier over the table. Great atmosphere, excellent service. As always great food and mood lighting. The Joey Burrow steak and lobster is a must!!! Topping off the visit was randomly meeting Jeff himself on our visit!!! Looking forward to coming back soon!

If I could give this place 10 STARS.... I would! An EXPERIENCE like none other! From the moment you walk in the door, use the restroom, eat, visit the Cigar Bar to leaving is totally indescribable! We expected the best, but we got BETTER THAN THE BEST! The food was great and the drinks were amazing, the staff was amazing! And the Managers were more foot soldiers than the staff, speaking, helping patrons, talking, making drinks, cooking, seating tables. Never seen anything like this before and I've seen a lot! It will definitely be my go to place when I come back to Cincinnati. You miss this while here, you are definitely missing what will make your trip extra special. Prices are worth it! By the way the waiter Dom is who you want, BE sure to tell Charlie, that Flowers sent you! He has a treat for you!

This place was so enjoyable to go to. The drinks were good, the food was tastey, and all of the staff were just amazing!!! We had Peter as our primary server and he was hilarious and kept perfect timing the entire meal. The price is high, but the food is delicious and the experience is amazing.

Had a ladies night at Jeff Ruby’s, and I was so impressed by the service and the food. Our waitress was so sweet and knowledgeable, we were treated like Queens. I usually go to Carlo and Johnnys, but this was my first time downtown. Phenomenal experience. Mr. Charlie runs an amazing restaurant. The ambiance is very , how should I say it, you want to be “seen” when you come to Jeff ruby downtown. Carlo and Johnnys is more laid back And the precinct, I haven’t been there much but it has it’s own flare. But eating at Cincinnati’s flagship steakhouse , downtown is an experience. If anything drop by for the warm butter pie :)

Fantastic dining experience at Jeff Ruby! Everything from the service, to the ambiance, to the food was top notch. Dom provided great service and recommendations throughout the night. We had the crab cake, which was fantastic and would compete with a crab cake from a coastal location, very fresh. The A5 Wagyu filet, although expensive, was worth every penny. That was easily one of the most tender and flavorful steaks I’ve ever had. The perfect preparation by the Jeff Ruby team perfectly highlights the cut of meat. Highly recommend Jeff Ruby for a great dining experience, we will be back!

First time back since the renovations were finished. Had our anniversary dinner here and it was a fantastic experience. We did seafood and appetizers; the food was great and the staff made sure we got to our show on time. Looking forward to visiting again!

One word. Phenomenal. My husband and I have eaten a lot of good places, high dollar and cheap, St. Elmo Steak House, The Oceanaire Seafood Room, Mortom's to name a few high dollar, and this place knocks them out of the water. We both had filet mignon, and to get a thick steak that perfect, beautiful. We are from Tennessee, and we would definitely drive up a weekend just to eat here. Staff was amazing as well. The old saying stays true to you get what you pay for, and here, the presentation, atmosphere, and flavor can stand up for themselves. Perfect. Also, best creme brulee we have ever had as well.

Absolutely INCREDIBLE experience at Jeff Ruby's in Downtown Cincinnati this past Saturday night. We were celebrating my mother in law's birthday - the entire staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience. Pedro (our waiter) was delightful and so knowledgeable on the menu items. Our meal was impeccable from start to finish - cannot speak highly enough of every aspect of our dining experience at Jeff Ruby's!

Fantastic!! My husband and I are very accomplished chefs and can be quite judgmental when it comes to dining out as we want it to be better than what we can do ourselves. We also expect the meal to be excellent from the appetizer all the way to the dessert. Jeff Ruby’s did not disappoint. From the crispy very fresh salad, hasselback potatoes, French green beans, and to die for steak cooked perfectly, everything was spot on, including the 4 layer chocolate cake. All of this goodness delivered to our hotel in thermal bags due to our caution of the pandemic . That is hard to pull off and keep everything hot and cold, but they did. I highly recommend Jeff Ruby’s and will dine here again when we are in the Cincinnati area

Great environment, classic vibes. Service was polite but not at that “knows what I want before I know what I want” level you rarely find. FREDDIE salad was perfect and enormous. We had some issues with proper cooking on the 12oz Barrel Cut Filet Mignon - medium rare order came out medium well first, then rare on the remake, which they took back twice more trying to “fix it”, second retry slightly less rare but still not to med-rare... third retry after many cuts to check doneness eventually came back to overdone - we gave up there and just ate the dried out meat at that point. The desserts - stay away from the lava cake (there’s no lava or taste to this “cake”). The skillet cookie was AMAZING.

This is an experience. We have dined at Ruby's establishments for years, and the value, service and atmosphere never disappoint. Excellent cocktail and wine list. The menu selections include steakhouse favorites and feature a raw bar/sushi options. Specials revolve around the rarest cuts of beef and are priced by the ounce. Terrific all around.

Where to start? The complimentary bread was good, and the truffle butter that came with it was AMAZING. The mushroom crepes were decent, but no truffle flavor was detectable, more like mushrooms and gravy in an eggy crepe. The crabcake was tasty, not heavily fried. The salad was just lettuce and some overdone bacon bits smothered in lackluster ranch. The mashed potatoes were flavored delicately and quite enjoyable. The asparagus was super fibrous and flavorless. The steak was, honestly, no better than those found at a cheaper chain of steakhouses. It was overly and unevenly cook for medium-rare. Also, our water was routinely empty.

Fantastic. It's not dinner, it's a dining experience. The steaks melt in your mouth, the seasoning is perfect. From appetizers to dessert. You won't be disappointed. Worth every penny!

We love this place, we usually go there for special occasions and we will be back. The steaks are bar none the best we have ever had! All the other food and don’t get me started on the service. The service is amazing everyone is so accommodating and pleasant. Everything is niceee.

We had always heard great things about Jeff Ruby's so we decided to give it a shot for our 10yr wedding anniversary! We were both very impressed. Our server/bartender (Emily - we sat at the bar) went above and beyond and the other staff was great. The whole experience was amazing and I felt like our bill wasn't bad at all for what we got! We had a wonderful experience. The service was fantastic. My wife and I both enjoyed our dinner selections. We had the Anna potatoes for the first time. Highly recommended. It is always special when we dine there.

My very first time there celebrating my birthday. The atmosphere was amazing, our waiter Andrew was amazing. The food was amazing. I do recommend checking them out. The only thing... make sure you're pockets are deep and be ready, because it's going to be pricey.. Sometimes you just have to pay more for quality.

Jeff Ruby's never disappoints!! We started off the evening ordering the Far Niente Chardonnay. Wanting to save room for the main course, we decided to skip the appetizers, but they do have a large selection of seafood from the raw bar. I went with a classic for my meal, the filet crowned with the Collinsworth topping.
