The service was good and the venue was clean, but the food is severely overpriced given the mediocre quality. This is one of the better options in Cincinnati for a prime steak, but I feel it’s worth saving your money and spending less on a better meal at one of the top steakhouses in another city. Liked the atmosphere though. Definitely make reservations well in advance if you do want to try this restaurant.

From 1896 Cincinnati Police Patrol House Number 6 housed this location. Fast forward to 1981 when Mr. Jeff Ruby opened this steakhouse on the Lewis & Clark trail, right next to the river. One of 3 different “themed” restaurants in Cincinnati with Ruby’s name on it. From the moment you drive up, you’re greeted with a smile, no waiting, no wondering, no flagging down your server or valet. Rated in the “Top 10” best steakhouse’s in the USA. And it surely doesn’t disappoint. Due to the pandemic, inflation and as we all know; many other factors, the prices have gone up. But, you get what you pay for. And when you pay $80 for a steak, it better be worth every single penny. I can assure you it was one of the best meals I’ve had to date. Sure, the mashed potatoes were a little too salty, salad may have been a bit overly dressed for my liking; but let’s face it I’m not there for those. I am there for the steak! A filet so tender, you could cut it with a fork. Cooked to perfection, with king crab, asparagus béarnaise and bordelaise sauce. The crispy fried brussels sprouts with apple, Bacon Lardon and a cider glaze. All has me salivating just thinking about it. If you’ve made it this far down my review some things to note: you have to make reservations, in advance. I would imagine maybe they take walk-ins, but you’ll probably be waiting. We went on a Wednesday night and it was a packed house. Oh and let’s not forget about the dessert. All house made. Impeccable. *chefs kiss

The experience was unbelievable. From the beginning to the end, hands-down the best restaurant experience of my life. Food was mouth-watering, staff was super friendly and helpful, atmosphere was breathtaking. It's said," you get what you pay for".... and that's what we received; the best food, the best service, and the best eating experience of my 42yr life. Hats off to you Jeff Ruby and your team keep doing what you do.😊❤😊

It's always an amazing experience, the foods mind blowing and it's obvious the staff are some of the best out there. It's an experience you'll never forget and I can't recommend it more. Price wise I'd say to expect around $75-100 a person not including alcohol drinks. Lastly pics are from a couple different visits.

Came here for my anniversary with my husband, loved the service, and loved the food. DEFINITELY worth the price.

Anyone from the Cincinnati area probably knows about Jeff Ruby's. Its one of the best steakhouses in the country. The Precinct has special character being a former Police station and a super cool vibe. The restaurant is very good, service is always spot on and the food is ridiculous. Its not for the budget minded dinner but its very worth it. I've been going to Jeff Ruby's for around 15 years and I've never once been disappointed. Enjoy

For starters, I love the nods to local sports at all of the Jeff Ruby's locations. They name menu items after sports greats; I came on game day and there was lots of Bengals pride on display too. They have an excellent cocktail menu, making it hard to decide! I loved the espresso martini I settled on -- darker than average with a nice punch of citrus, unique from others I've had. The next thing I love is that sides are included with all entrees, which most fine steakhouses don't do. The wedge salad was amazing and enough to fill me up by itself if I didn't take some to-go. You get a thick, smoky cut of bacon and some great blue cheese dressing. On to the steak: Steak Burrow had a super flavorful crust. If I'm nitpicking, it was a smidge less tender than I'd like, but the delicious crawfish juices it was swimming in made up for it. You can tell thought and effort goes into everything they serve here. Nothing is wasted.. even the bread and spreads were excellent and memorable. Service was good and it's a cool date night vibe with super comfortable seating. I'd say Jeff Ruby's is worthy of all the local fame it gets!

Jeff Ruby restaurants are an experience in food, service and atmosphere like no other. They set the bar on striving to achieve excellence and because we are all human and mistakes happen they do everything in their power to not only correct the error but to make every part of the experience that much better. Every one of Jeff Ruby's locations you can expect nothing short of a 6 star restaurant on a 5 star scale but to be fair it is worth visiting each location. Every location has it's own subtle character that is worth experiencing. If you happen to go to this location the precinct please ask for Lindsey. She was wonderful. Her and her team will provide a most excellent evening. I will be returning for a new experience at my earliest convenience. Thank you Jeff Ruby, the wait staff and chefs at the precinct. We celebrated my wife's 40th Birthday, We had such a fantastic time; it went off without a hitch. Besides the amazing dinner as always, the hostess, service, and support staff were so wonderful; the whole experience is what sets Jeff Ruby apart from all the others… 😊 We can't wait to do it again!

The Precinct never disappoints!! Went out on a limb this visit and tried the Salmon… WOW! The Mac and Cheese is a must order, of course. We also tried the peanut butter pie for dessert and it was amazing, very rich but perfect flavor and texture. Jeff, if you’re reading this, please bring back the blue racer 😉

Beautiful restaurant, ambiance was perfect. Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse was far better as far as the food. We enjoyed both experiences though. The Crab cake is excellent...at both locations and the Chocolate Porter Cake is decadent.

We have always loved The Precinct, but last night we had one of the best meals and experience. Everything was absolutely delicious. Robby was our server and he was very attentive, made great suggestions and just beyond incredible. The manager Austin helped make my birthday even that more perfect. (Seriously still so happy about that butter pie!) Thank you both for an incredible evening with my family. We enjoyed it so very much!!

Great service, great steaks, lamb was a little dry, chicken was decent, mac and cheese was really cheesy and creamy which was awesome! Crabcake was good, my husband really enjoyed it. The staff made my birthday dinner a very special day! Thanks

We went to the precinct this Sunday with 17 people for my birthday& anniversary! Everything was perfect and a great way to spend our day with the people we love! It was a first time for most of the people who dined with us & they all loved it! The food was beyond excellent in both temperature and flavor. The service in everything from the Valet to the Host/Hostess to the table Captain to Servers was magnificent. Everyone with whom we engaged was friendly, courteous and helpful. Our entire party of seven had a very enjoyable experience. Now I'll tell you how I really feel: Happy. The Precinct was everything we wanted it to be. The environment is cozy and comfortable. The service was exceptional. They helped make my birthday celebration extra special! And of course the food was phenomenal. We recommend the east coast oysters, Collinsworth, and mac n cheese! They also have an excellent wine selection!

Cincinnati's gourmet steak place! Located in a historic Hannaford building with beautiful stained glass. This Jeff Ruby location has been open since 1981. While you wait to be seated be sure to look at the framed pictures on the wall. Food, service and wine list is top notch. Don't forget to visit the restroom. The Steak Collinsworth was so delicious. The Lobster Mac was another favorite but it's not always available.

We came for my dad's 80th birthday. Eileen did a great job explaining the menu and helping us decide on drinks. We ordered the a5 filet cut into 8 for our whole party to try. AMAZING! All of our steaks came out perfectly. The Mac n cheese was second to none. Eileen brought out an amazing birthday cake slice for my Dad and we all shared and loved it. Overall, the Precinct is an 11 out of 10! Can't wait to come back!!

We went for our anniversary and both had filets, and Ceasar salads. Definitely recommend! Steak was excellent and perfectly cooked.
