I love this place! They have a lot of great beverage options, including beer, cocktails and even a boozy milkshake. This visit, I had yogurt with homemade granola, strawberries and almond butter. Plus a nice espresso martini. Very relaxing, whether you sit outside or in their lounge areas. Good food includes breakfast sandwiches, baked / toasted breads, and an excellent selection of tinned fish and other tinned seafood. I highly recommend the Smoked Mackerel, Almond Butter & Banana Toastie, and Franklins Coconut Cold Brew - maybe not all in one sitting tho. Also, if you join their coffee and / or wine club they will deliver nationwide (with optional pickup + extra in-house perks for the latter).

Visited Mom 'n 'em on a Saturday afternoon and had an enjoyable time with a couple of cups of coffee and an egg and bacon sandwich. The place was very busy and had a nice vibe. The staff was very friendly and we were fortunate enough to be able to speak with one of the owners about their motivation and dreams. They have a passion for good service, good food and remaining an independent small business. We need more like them. Stop by and try this little oasis. You will be glad you did.

This is a great and unique coffee shop. I just recently discovered it, but it is such a bright and welcoming place and they make a great coffee. It feels like a warm home with lots of different places to sit and talk or get some work done. Friendly staff, too!

Lovely, just lovely. Hipsterish. Bohemian Vibes. Earthy. Bright. Clean. Delicious pastries and breakfast sandwiches. Tasty iced mocha came in a mason jar (so hipster but I love it so…) We walked in for the first time today and I felt like I was walking into my friends cozy house. In terms of sitting in on a rainy day like today there is a seat for whatever your preference; Little cozy nooks and crannies; Couches for lounging; or sit at the bar or communal farm table in the kitchen. I’m going back for more - I can’t believe I’ve never been before!

Bright and spacious with a variety of indoor and outdoor seats for a comfortable hangout by yourself or with friends. Beautiful decor, geometric wall art, exposed bricks, and vintage charm. I visited on a Friday morning, warm atmosphere and a nice vibe, there were many customers in the cafe but it was still quiet. Good service and friendly staff. Theresa, the owner, is welcoming, warm and delightful to talk to. I had a cup of cappuccino and chia pudding there, bought a ham cheese croissant and a small nut cake to go, all delicious. The chia pudding is a rare find here in Cincy and I really enjoyed it and appreciate the artfully presentation. I hope to visit again soon and highly recommend it.

Stopped for coffee, cookie and croissant. Coffee was good as was the treats. The service was ok. It was a bit disappointing that there were so few tables the could seat four and all those were taken by singles. We made a tiny table work and enjoyed the time we spent there. It would be better to come here during warm weather as they have an awesome patio space.

It honestly pains me to write this review because I/we love their Madisonville location - always a 5-star experience. We came here for Mother's Day and their 4-year anniversary. It was our first time at this location, but we decided to make the drive and give it a try due to the special menu - we live closer to the Madisonville location. I feel like people were just as friendly and the service just as good. The food was below their standard at the other location and I thought the portion/cost for the menu was sub-par. The porchetta was dry, the exterior was not crunchy like porchetta should be but leathery, and it was not filling - it did have decent flavor. The asparagus was cooked just right - not overcooked and still some snap. It was $19 for that plate pictured, not including a tip. I would have expected another slice? Or maybe add something else to go with it - like potatoes or bread. My father had the classic breakfast which was $16 and it looked quite a bit more filling. The rhubarb danish I had that day was also a little off. The custard was a bit eggy - both texture and flavor. Again, disappointing because items like their Pain aux Raisin and their Olive Oil Cake have been great. Coffee was still good, but I think we had expected ceramic ware like the other location. However, we understood the convenience of disposables given most people were outside and it was quite busy. Unfortunate experience here, but that won't deter us from frequenting Madisonville.

We always look forward to visiting friends in Cincy because it means we can have a coffee and breakfast at Mom ‘n ‘em. Wonderful spot. Incredible coffee. Super tasty brekkie. The avo toast and Gibraltar (Cortado) was a real winner. The staff is so friendly and environment is so welcoming. Love this spot. Well done Mom ‘n ‘em team!

The coffee and pastries are lovely, but the decor is what makes this place iconic. This family-owned business always warms my heart. The conversations I’ve had with the staff here are always meaningful. Truly a gem of cincinnati. Much love for these guys!

I’ve been a die hard Mom n ‘em fan for about a year now. I said it then and I’ll say it forever, best coffeeshop in the city and honestly my favorite coffeeshop anywhere in the world. 1. Family business, you gotta love it, mom is literally taking your order making your coffee or toastie every time I go in 2. The quality of the coffee and food 3. The vibe of both locations is like big warm hug, and that’s what I look for in any place I frequent I want to feel at home and welcomed. Enjoying a cup of coffee and a bite to eat is about slowing down and enjoying the company you are with, and there is truly no better place to do that at than Mom n ‘em. Ps. Their lunch spot Fausto is a must go to in the city as well!

Great atmosphere and presentation 👏. Espresso, coffee, and green tea was enjoyable. Avocado toast w sour dough was very good but one avocado toast was not as requested w no oil.

I'm from out of state and thought I would try this out. I'm a very picky eater and this was AMAZING. I scarfed down my avocado toast and honestly could say I'd go back for seconds if this wasnt so filling. The coffee was done exceptionally, I loved it.

We were just looking for a place to get coffee on our way home and this came up in Google. It was an awesome find! Kind of randomly located, which I always love because it feels like finding a hidden gem. It is inside a cool house with a really extensive outdoor patio so you don't feel squished with other patrons. Going inside it felt really warm. They had an interesting menu. Staff were really chill and friendly - even had some fun banter with the barista. Definitely on the pricier side. Seems like that is what you pay though for the vibe, space, and quality of food/drink.
