I got my hair done a few months ago by Kieran, firstly my hair went dark orange and brown at the ends when I wanted a full head highlights to be blonde and then they fixed it for free but still not the blonde I wanted and had to re bleach those ends so they’re very frazzled. Rakis reached out after this and then Stella fixed my hair (for free again) She did an amazing job at getting all the orangey colour out and cut the dead bits as well as treatments to repair any bleach damage. Now a nice bright blonde colour, Very happy thanks.

I just had a beautiful hair corrector done here by Terri. I had dyed my hair blonde that went a pale orange. They managed to fit me in the next day, and Terri did an amazing job of covering my unwanted colour. The end result was a darker tone that still looked natural, complimented my pale skin tone and did not dry out my hair. I have had lots of compliments on the new colour. The staff here are all very friendly, and attentive. The price was very reasonable for what I received. I will definitely be back 😁

I had a colour correction performed today by Terri. She adjusted my accidentally dark, espresso brown fringe to match my natural ashy brown length. There were bleach foils under the darker dye too and in one hour Terri had perfectly corrected the tones - and kept my hair feeling in great condition. She also did the service for me at a very affordable rate. She's got great skills and I couldn't recommend her highly enough. The owner Stavros is also warm and completely chamring. Lovely salon.

Im a client at Rakis for a few years now. Always outstanding customer service and everyone goes the extra mile to male you feel well looked after. The name speaks for itself. Last time I went, I had the pleasure to meet Leo, new colourist from Colombo. Leo is the sweeties colourist you could ask for. Super calm, efficient and incredibly accurate with his work. His Color has been one of the best I had over the last 10years. So happy that this is worth a public recommendation, which I rarely take the time to do. You really found a Gem here!

I went in with a terrible home dye job and Stella absolutely transformed me! Beautiful scalp bleach followed with a lovely pastel pink toner. I couldn’t be happier, the whole team was amazing. Fantastic experience, absolutely amazed at what Stella was able to accomplish!

Outstanding - always. Terri-Louise and Stav expertise are second to none. Great energy, and attention to the over-all experience. Historically I’ve found it very difficult to manage my hair because of it type - cannot recommend Terri highly enough (colourist and extension specialist) - my hair, despite extensions has become healthier since I made the move to Rakis.

Had an amazing transformation by Terri! What a gem she is! Even though it was my first time with her she literally won me over💜 She listened to me, had a 10 min convo in which she asked what i what, understood very well and literally executed the exact same inspo on me which i showed her. I don’t recommend anyone going through them when it comes to hair extensions. I ended up getting grey hairs in mine! Brand new as well and definitely not cheap. They have done nothing to resolve this problem because they have their money now so it’s not their issue it’s mine now. I have been constantly trying to get in contact with them and nothing back. I wasn’t the first to have an issue with the hair extensions, I remember another staff member telling me so, so why the hell do they continue to go through show pony? Given the poor Quality and lack of professionalism? Look elsewhere.

Extremely disappointed, horrible communication with the customer. Told the hairdresser to not cut my hair too short he replied okay and did completely the opposite. He told me at the end to wait 2 months for it to grow right?? while I had told him my sister’s wedding is in 5 days and I wanted it perfect.

Got my hair balayage from Terri and oh god what a great job she did. She is friendly,quick and professional. She sure knows her job well. I showed her a reference picture and she did exactly what I showed her. Full hair of balayage took me around 3.5 hours which is the least amount of time I have ever spent in a salon on hair color day and got beyond expected results. Defintelty going back to her again in future.

I had one of my most good experience for haircut over there by Leo. Very nice place. Staffs were so kind and welcoming.

I had a colour correction and balayage done by Leidy on the 14/07/2023 and she did an amazing job! My hair was terrible and orange before I saw her and she spent the whole day patiently fixing it. All staff are lovely and go above & beyond to ensure you’re comfortable and well taken care of. Salon is chic and in a great location. I will definitely be a regular from now on. Thank you so much !

A great experience! I saw Terri Louise for my colour, and she did an amazing job, taking care not to damage my hair. I’ve been having bleach on scalp for years and know how hard it is to find a hairdresser that will sort out your regrowth without giving you a colour band, and I left very satisfied. Would 100% recommend for any other blondes!

So glad l found this salon. Leidy was my hair and make-up stylist and l couldn't have been any happier. I basically showed her a couple of photos l liked off the internet and she did the rest. Absolutely loved both my hair and make up. Service was great. They will be my go to from now on for all future Melbourne visits.

Absolutely gutted :( I treated myself to getting my hair cut and coloured at this place because I had heard this was the best place you could go to get your hair done. When I arrived at 10 o'clock, my hairdresser hadn't shown up to her shift so I ended up waiting 40 minutes until they could shuffle other hairdressers around to fit me in. I really didn't mind because I trusted that all the hairdressers would be amazing. I would like to give the receptionist 5 stars as he was incredibly sorry and really did his best to accommodate me! I ended up getting my hair done by 3 different people in the end. Firstly I got balayage done to by hair, showed photos and I swear it looks exactly as it did before but worse because it's not blended anymore due to how the cut was done. She colourist I feel didn't really take the time to really listen to what I was asking. I then got my hair cut by a male hairdresser which I really believed was going to give me an incredible hair cut, instead after washing and drying in myself the layers he has put in my hair (which I didn't ask for) are very un even and now it looks like I have reverse balayage. Even writing this makes me cry, I am extremely upset and I really can't afford to get it re-done done. (I have attached a photo). I had come from Ballarat and this was a really treat. I couldn't really afford to get this done and I only allow myself to get my hair done once a year because I am student and can't really afford it. This hair cut and colour even costed more than what was quoted online, which as it was was a struggle to pay for. The receptionist added an Olaplex treatment or something to my appointment which I don't believe I even ended up getting. I wasn't going to write this review because I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but tonight I have washed my hair and really taken the time to straighten it really well and I cannot believe how bad the balayage/cut look :( Hi Muska! Stella is absolutely Stellar!! I have natural black hair and wanted to go blonde with a hope of it not looking too weird. I trusted Stella with the whole process and it turned out to be so gorgeous. I am so happy with her services and in love with her gorgeous personality. The team at Rakis was very helpful - served me coffee and water throughout the 4 hours I was there. Will definitely be returning. 10/10

Terri @ Rakis has been doing my hair for over a year now. She was the first person to deal with my post-lockdown colour and I've been going to see her ever since. Terri is quick, professional and the colour is always spot on. I couldn't recommend her more!!! The salon is also super friendly, welcoming and very easy to get to. LOVE YOU GUYS!

Rakis is the best salon—so stylish but elegant, never too much. The people are always lovely and enthusiastic, always making the salon a happy place to spend time. The owner Stavros is a master, with so much expertise in the industry. He’s super charming and hilarious. I’ve seen a number of stylists for a cut and style and have always been very happy.

Lovely salon that always feels comfortable, and Aron is a delight. Huge range of Shu Uemura products, never feel like I'm being upsold, but when I have bought products they've been excellent suggestions I've gone back to buy more of. Only suggestion would be some baffling to absorb a bit of sound, can be a little loud (but I might be a bit sensitive!).

I'm incredibly happy with the balayage and cut I received from Roland yesterday. It looks natural and the colour is stunning. I've already had so many compliments! It is difficult to find a hairdresser that knows how to do a natural looking balayage, and Roland is truly an expert at this technique. He is by far the best hairdresser I've ever had (a real perfectionist). I trust him so much that I let him take the lead with my hair and make suggestions every time I visit. I'm always beyond happy with my cut and colour and feel gorgeous every time I leave the salon. Before I found Roland I had to visit a salon every few months but now I don't have to visit as often because of Roland's amazing work.

Stavros is a gem! Best customer service I've ever experienced at a salon. He really cares and clearly has a brilliant mind for it.
