Terrible product and terrible customer service. I bought this computer on 03/03/2022. Had problem since the first day. Waited for two weeks to see if the problem was going to end but it kept happening. I went to the store to try to solve my problem, showed photos and videos of my problem to the manager who said: “It might be the software, please update it and if does not work come back and we will solve your problem, just take a picture of it as you did and that’s all we need. You have 3 months warranty from us, so we will help you in this time” I went home, did what I was told and guess what, nothing happened. Kept using this laptop for two weeks and the problem kept happening over and over again. Today 27/03 I returned to the store to show my problem again. Another manager came to see my problem. During his explanation, he politely said “We need to see the problem happening to be able to help you, and we have more customers to attend.” So, firstly Other costumers are more important than me? What nice thing to say to a client…. Secondly, why does on person say one thing and the other another? It just showed me that they are not willing to solve my problem, really professional of them. By the end I was told to contact Dell and they will send me a technician to look at this issue. Sad to know that when you go there to buy they treat you well, and than it changes because their product has a issue and they don’t want to solve the problem. I have this product for less than a month and it has already stressed me out. Hopefully you guys have a better experience than me with JB Hi-Fi

Every person I’ve asked for help ever at this store looks so resentful and angry that I’ve asked them a quick question. The line to checkout is also ridiculous I literally waited for 30 minutes at 4pm on a Thursday. I also asked the staff around other counters around the store if they can process it for me there but they told me to go to the front. The line ended up filling half the store up that’s how many people were waiting to check out. I understand its busy but they can fix this easily by either putting more people at the checkout, or opening other counters around the store.

Phenominal staff, especially Dom located in the gaming peripheral section. So helpful with all my questions, very knowledgeable and friendly. Price matched for me and explained the insurance plan to the best of his ability. Amazing service from big Dom!

I had a look in their clearance bin. And kept on looking. At first I thought I might find something decent, then I saw the tags and I got curious… I wandered around the stand looking for a sign saying x% off. Nothing. Everything I looked up was at market prices. I don’t know if anything was actually discounted, must have been overpriced if they were. I remember way back when people went to JB’s for good prices. Nothing here was priced “to clear”, more like scam 🙄

Came in to check out the new Bose noise cancelling headphones only to come across a very rude sales person that deliberately pushed a ladder through although I offered to move the ladder aside. Perhaps I didn’t hear the ladder coming. Perhaps he doesn’t have any brain cells to understand the concept of space. On a lighter note the Bose Quiet Comfort Ultra Headphones works like a charm. Here are some pictures so we can all avoid this prick

Sales assistant were friendly. They're upfront with the price of the item and if you find a better price from other stores they'll match it. So far there's no dramas dealing with JB staff they're helpful and very professional. Keep up the good work guys!

Love this store , always come here and buy stuff. However today around 5.30pm, i met a rude and carelesss sales assistant . come to pickup my games and did not check the name in the billing address for my order. She seems happy to sent me away thought im some fraud. She waste 20 minute of my time just to pickup a game . Dont know the name of the girl but its the girl with piercing and brown hair and blue eye makeup. rude and very unhelpful , giving me attitude even after she's wrong and being careless. This is the second time she does this to me and never have any problem with other sales assistant in the past that makes me almost think its intentional. Its a very good store and has a very good staff except for that girl. first time is tolerable, second times is enough for me .

Came to JB hifi with a budget for a keyboard but had no idea which to buy. Dominic from the games section was exceptional when it came to his knowledge on gaming products. He knew exactly what would be the best value for my money and showed me multiple options that fit my description of my preferences. On top of that, he even gave me a discount on the keyboard so that I could buy a headset within my budget and complete my full setup! Super friendly and approachable staff who definitely deserves a raise.

One of the best JB’s in Melbourne. Spacious, easy access, well stocked. I initially went to the one on Bourke St looking for a specific wireless headphones, they didn’t have it and advised they had them in this store and I was not disappointed. Staff were friendly and helpful.

My partner and I came in looking to get a smart watch ASAP as they're deaf and need it as an accessibility tool. Boris went above and beyond to help even though the store was packed and close to closing, and we walked out with a watch that'll help significantly on the day to day. He also provided an accessible contact option for if any issues came up. Huge thank you to Boris!

Screwed up my iPhone 15 pre-order (wrong model), so I didn’t get it on the release day. Understandable that the online system can make mistakes, but they made me wait for 30min to rectify the order, and the whole “not my fault” & “you couldn’t buy it anywhere else anyway” explaining and not apologetic at all when I said this mistake could affect ppl a lot. It’s a sad thing when u clearly see that “I don’t care” face & u just couldn’t do anything about it.

Did not have much problem before, but recent experience has shown the staff at the counter not showing positive gesture and acting rude towards me. The staff also showed incompetence when the invoice has not been given to me for my preorder. Then, it was messed up when I pick up the order today. It was very inconvenient as I have to wait for a long time but the manager and another staff were helpful and considerate enough to help me and it went all okay. I know things can get busy during the peak trade times, but please consider training the staff to prevent this from happening again.

Very impressed with their customer service!! We came to the shop to replace the headphone under warranty. Multiple staffs helped us which we felt sorry to make such trouble but they were all so nice to us. Especially many thanks to Angela!! Btw I really recommend buying extra cover, worth it.

Easy to navigate around the store , the staff member I approached for help put me through a checkout with ease , and I avoided a line up as there were atleast 30 customers waiting to pay for there items. Very helpful good experience.

Dear Jbhifi Melbourne Central, I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the service I received during my recent visit to your store. On 22/10/2023, I would like purchased an iPhone from your establishment, and the experience was far from satisfactory. I believe it is important to bring these issues to your attention in the hope of improvement. First and foremost, the behavior of the staff was incredibly disappointing. I encountered rudeness from multiple employees, which made the entire purchase process uncomfortable. Their lack of courtesy and professionalism left me feeling unwelcome in your store. Furthermore, I found the time management at your store to be subpar. It took an excessive amount of time to complete the purchase, which left me frustrated and inconvenienced. A more efficient and organized approach is needed to serve customers effectively. I trust that the management team can address these concerns promptly and take appropriate action to improve the overall customer experience. I hope to see positive changes in staff behavior and time management in the future. I kindly request that you investigate these issues and take the necessary steps to ensure such incidents do not occur in the future. Your customers deserve a respectful and efficient service, and I believe that this should be a priority for your establishment. I appreciate your prompt attention to this matter and hope for a timely resolution.

The service was excellent. The lady that served me was very polite and we had a great chat about PC gaming. I didn’t catch her name but she was very polite. Store was clean and tidy and an easy to follow lay out.

I had unfortunate experiences at this store. The staffs are so unfriendly. On Black Friday, I visited for a click and collect order. The cashier displayed impatience, tossing my items onto the desk and loudly throwing the pen after obtaining my signature. Returning for a price match today, a staff member insisted I needed to queue again when I am actually in the line. Then he claimed that this is an active service, they only assisted those purchasing products. This seemed absurd and left me questioning if he is racist. Overall, I won’t come to this store again because of the unfriendly staff and poor service.

Went in today to buy a new MacBook for myself. Store salesman helped us but was awful in the process. Can't remember his name but he was wearing a blue shirt and black shorts with light coloured hair. He completely mansplained everything to me and my wife and was very dismissive of her questions. Tried to sell us products we didn't need and only talked to me and not my wife. Very disgusting and sexist. When we ended up going with the M1 MacBook and not M2 he made us feel like we were cheap??? like many people cannot even afford a MacBook, disgusting behaviour from staff. Turns out my wife knew more than him anyway. She pointed out that the M1 has a fingerprint sensor and he completely dismissed her and told her it doesn't. Well guess what? It does have a fingerprint sensor. I have attached pictures to prove it. I hope whatever his name is remembers this review and hopefully doesn't treat his future customers like this.

Was served yesterday by Hayden who did an excellent job comprehensively and politely explaining my options for a new laptop. He got me a fantastic deal on a Lenovo. Amazing service and a wide range of products.

This branch is conveniently located at the Melbourne CBD area and has plenty of helpful staff members. Raj has been a helpful team member assisting me in selecting the right computing device from multiple different selections available. He also assisted me in getting the suitable accessories and guiding me with the best promotions available during this time and explaining to me how it all works together.

Very good experiences at JB recently. Both buying and returning went well. I took away 1 star as getting help in the PC accessories gaming area took 15-20+ minutes on two separate occasions. To be clear - it was not the fault of the staff, they were awesome and very customer focused and knowledgeable, they just didn't have enough staff to meet the demand. The poor staff was running g from person to person and never got a break, but they were still incredibly positive. In fairness to JB - this was in the weeks ahead of Christmas which is always crazy. I had to do a return after Christmas and the process was very easy - which I was thrilled with. They couldn't have made it easier. So in the end, because of the great staff- I added a star back in. Good job folks!

Very knowledgeable staff that gave really great recommendations. Only looses one star since they did not have the exact item I wanted in stock in the colour I wanted. Either way I left with a product that was actually better value and I am happy with experience there.

I went there knowing what I wanted, but it took me a while to find someone who could serve me. I asked a girl who looked like a manager, but she directed me to speak to this girl and this guy who were casually chatting and not looking for customers in need. I spoke to the girl, and she came with me to the isle of the item I needed to buy. She said she was going to check the back store up, then another guy shows up super friendly, but he didn't introduce himself, and he looked a bit desheval for a customer service front of house retail job. The other girl didn't own it that she didn't know about cameras. I believe they would benefit from some training or reminders of looking for customers wandering and introducing yourself and looking presentable and being honest when not knowing something and if you better look for another staff member.

Recently I went up JB Hi-Fi to buy a new phone. The prices on Google Pixel 6 devices are pretty much set by the fact that Google also sells them directly, and they offered the device I bought for the same price that Google did. Not only did they have the phone I wanted in stock, but it was easy to find out which store to go to using their website. No fuss, electronic record keeping (so I can get a copy of the receipt easily from them if I need it a year or two from now to get a warranty repair done), ava immediate gratification (I didn't have to wait for Google to mail one to me). Plus no shipping fees when you get one from the store. RECOMMENDED

JB Hi Fi on the whole is my go-to for media and tech purchases. They almost always have a number of sales I can take advantage of, and the staff have always been friendly, professional, and informative. Online purchases generally ship promptly and without issue. If you have an issue with an online transaction, they haven't really got a recourse for inquiring about it, but I've only ever had an issue once, which was Toll's fault, and I did still manage to get help from a random JB in Sydney, which seems to be where they redirect corporate customer service calls. So while they lack a dedicated number for this that's easy to find, you can still get sense out of them if you get a hold of them.

I was there to buy a mobile phone. Team at the store is very good. One staff member helped me make an informed decision based on my requirements. Didn't try to just sell me. 5 stars.

Mate! They have the best deals. I mean, if they have even more product lines it would be great. Also very friendly staff, who refunded the discount difference after a week of my purchase. And great additional warranty offers. Have exchanged/ refunded in full a couple of times for faulty items without any hassle.

I'm very pleased with the service of Connor and Aaron. I thought the sense of urgency has extincted in Australia but they managed to rush through my order during lunch rush without compromising service quality. Highly competent staff.

Really efficient place for my click and collect orders. I've been here multiple times for different purchases, each time has been a good experience. The staff are always helpful but can be hard to get a hold off when it's busy. Went on 12 May for the new Zelda release. The team handled the crowd really well. The lady who helped me with my order was extremely friendly, patient and went beyond to locate my order. She has pink hair so I would love to commend her if I can find out what her name is. Update: seeing people complain about waiting for an hour on Zelda release day. As someone with convention and fandom/merch sale experience. 1 hour is childs play compared to 7 hours for a tote bag.

Today at this store (JB Hi fi Melbourne Central), I had one of my worst experiences. Specifically the guy(s) at the headphones section. If you don't mind a long story, just keep reading. I was looking at some headphones and a lady came to give me suggestions. She was nice and that was good. Then I continued looking by myself and found a product I like. I wanted to find someone to confirm a feature and saw the staff at the headphones section. I don't know on what grounds that he discriminate against people or because I interrupted his conversation with a younger staff but while he was all smiling and helping others, as soon as I approached for help, his face became grumpy. I didn't want to ask any more and just told him to get me the product. He then signaled the other guy to just open the cabinet. The younger guy was also not willing to help. I asked if he also sell a case here. He said without checking, 'just get the box, probably a case inside, blah blah'. No case as stated when I read myself on the box. I had to find a different model by myself, approached the first guy (main guy at the headphones section) to ask for price match before buying. I told him the store name. This is an unfamiliar name but the first came up on Google when searching for this product (an audio store in Richmond). He just smirked and said is that even an Australian store, in a very mockery and disrespectful tone. At this point I don't want to buy anything anymore and just found an excuse instead of confronting him before leaving the store without buying anything.

JB Hi-fi is always the best place for electronics and gadgets and products from that universe. You can always bargain for deals, and 8/10 they might have a good deal up their sleeve for you. It's honestly the best. 10/10

It's a pretty big size JB Hi-Fi outlet for electronics items. This shop doesn't doesn't sell Big home appliances such TV, Fridge, washing machine. It's always quiet busy as it's in Melbourne Central. They have good collection of games, small electronics, smart home devices , cameras, speakers, headphones etc etc.

We called in here twice this week finding out specials on iPads for a beautiful young girl called Angel. I would just like to thank Jeff, Aidan and I’m sorry I forgot the other persons name who helped us out on Wednesday who all gave us ideas. The customer service is exemplary. Thank you from us both Sandra and Angel.

Bought a fridge online Delivered damaged and driver refused to take it back Tried contacting someone from JB HIFI, no complaints process on the phone anymore, only sales SURPRISE. Online enquiries and chat may as well be a bot, stated pickup would occur 1 week later, pickup window never advised and fell through. Stuck with a damaged fridge, that I had to pay for, no assurance of refund and no prospect of ever collecting it. No service, no timely responses, trying to move house and is a massive inconvenience as ended up having to buy a new fridge through another company, good guys, which went perfectly. Tried to resolve issue through online chat, told me they couldn’t help and terminated the chat. Absolute disgrace of a company, won’t be buying online again. Everyone else BE AWARE, this was a very simple purchase and paid extra for delivery and package of box collection. Ticket number 2044747. Cheers.

I had a great experience here. There was a very helpful young guy who was taking the mac laptop section, unfortunately didn’t catch his name. Helped me find exactly what I wanted and went out of his way to inform me about my student discount which got me a great price. I was considering the midnight colour until i was told fingerprints are a bigger issue on this colour which was extremely helpful. It was a very fast experience despite the fact it was extremely busy.
