Danson park is our local green space with old mansion house that was finally restored a few years back. A huge lake for fishing.sailing and rowing. Toilets and food bar and pre virus the boathouse restaurant Always a great morning out with children or just a leisurely walk

Ignore their opening hours! We took the afternoon off work to come down but when we got there the bloke was closing early saying there weren’t enough customers to stay open even though it was 3pm on a hot summer day, there was another couple waiting behind us and boats already out on the lake. Didn’t even get an apology, won’t be going back.

The park itself is great the boat house covers a lot of sporting needs. However, if you need a toilet you have to tell ten minutes all the way over to the main park area.

Only went there for a drink and cake or something similar. Very ordinary but expensive coffee, ok hoy chocolate and nothing worth eating. But lady serving was pleasant and friendly. Not actually tried the water sports bit.

Took 17 cubs for 2 hours of Bell boating and Kayaking with Ben and Ollie. They were brilliant instructors, patient and supportive to all. Amazing activity in a nice setting. I am.positive we will use again. Thank you.

Hired a boat here with wife n 2 small kids. It was good fun apart from a) I cant row for toffee and b) the ores and boats are a bit too old and splintery. This place could do with a cash injection to help it out but is great for kids

Thank you to Luke who led my daughter’s kayaking birthday party. He was brilliant from start to finish. Very welcoming and efficient. He managed the children well and organised some brilliant water based games and activities. The children were kayaking non-stop for 2 hours. They all came back buzzing with excitement. I would definitely recommend and book again in the future!
