This is the Aeromexico VIP lounge for first class and business passengers and those foolish enough to buy a day pass at a cost of $45 USD. What you’re really getting is just a place to sit... since this airport has absolutely no place for you to wait during connecting flight. Don’t expect anything here... besides light snacks and cold beverages. They have free beer and cocktails. I’ve done the math and based on average price of a cocktail at restaurants inside airport.... if you buy a day pass to this lounge, you need to have 7 cocktails for it to be a profitable experience.

Food is institutional. Then the server hustles you for tips saying he's getting off work soon. He must pull that scam on everyone. First time to be hustled for a tip for a bottle of water and a piece of bread. After paying expensive fares for a first class ticket, I would enjoying relaxing in a lounge free from hustlers and liars. No where have I been hit up for tips like this.

Although the place was packed, I really had a good time there. Huge variety of beverages, good coffee, fresh snacks being added to the buffet all the time (and I was there for 6 hours), and the possibility of taking a shower! What a bless! Shout out to the friendly staff, always checking in to see if I needed anything. I don’t have any of the premium, platinum, whatever cards, but I’m glad they accept drop-ins so I could enjoy my super long layover in a very special way! Best decision ever!

Update for 2023: This lounge has come a long way to improve itself. Staffing levels are up. Trash is being cleaned quickly and efficiently, and the food replensishments are now being supervised so as to prevent being picked over by vultures behaving like Brits at a buffet. Well done Aero Mexico. Original review from 2021: Worst business lounge I've ever passed through... While the lounge itself is large and comfortable, it's hideously understaffed. This has three consequences: 1. Insanely slow service at the bars 2. Insanely slow food replenishment. 3. Slow cleanup of detritus Further, the free food selection is minimal to begin with, so it gets depleted extra quick. Seeing the chicken noodle soup being refilled was akin to watching a wake of vultures picking over a dead cow. As for the menu items, prices are sky-high, so you might as well eat at one of the concessions in the public departure lounge... since you'll find far more variety.

Visited on our way back to the US. It's a pretty big lounge, modern and comfortable. The food options, though, are rather limited (unless you are wanting to pay $15 for eggs). The "buffet" literally had two options that weren't junk food. Chilaquiles and scrambled eggs with salsa Verde. Rather underwhelming for an airport as big as this. Good selection of soft drinks and a few beers. Beyond that, everything on the menu you actually have to pay for. There are lots of waiters walking around and taking food orders. However, it seems we didn't order fast enough, because we asked the waiter to give us a few minutes and he simply didn't come back at all. Maybe Delta has spoiled us too much with an actual buffet food offering for those of us that fly frequently. Overall not a terrible option (it seems the Centurion Lounge nearby is even worse, and it seems lounges in MEX are all like this), but I'd call it mediocre if compared to what airlines like Delta and United do. And even Aeromexico themselves do better at Guadalajara, for example. We had a free visit, but if I had had to pay for this, I would have asked for a refund.

Wifi is difficult and complicated to join, which is the most basic thing I expect offering by a lounge, but it fails to deliver. Food options were so limited that it was kind of sad actually. For free food items you only get salad or cold pasta salad. Others you have to pay extra to have, same as drinks offered from the bar. But you can still get free drinks from the fridge.

The place is fine for a short stop before flying however if you are looking for a decent meal this is not the place; I can tell it has a great variety of drinks (Bottled Water, Coffe ☕, Carbonated Drinks, etc.) and alcohol ( 🍾đŸč ) so it's a good choice to stop by. However; it gets pretty crowded and the waiters cannot support to give the normal service to all the customers. I can tell a small tip for all the work of the few waiters on site is very welcome 😁.

Amazing place only if you enjoy drinking. Tequilas, beers... you name it. However, VERY bad if you expect a nice meal.

The food choice is a bit limited but the drinks are great. And the place is clean and there is a relatively quiet section. Not super crowded and the servers are cleaning constantly. Could use more snack choices.

Much much better food outside the lounch at same cost!! Easy to find... Good coffee ☕ Good water attention, Complicated to access, they requested aeromexico card, CC, ID, passport and bornding pass while the next clerk just ask for the birding pass... lol and we came with a 7 y and a 5 month old đŸ€Ł 😅 We ordered food at extra cost and it was just uneatable, hot from being under the counter resistance but dry and hard and tasted old. Good to relax a bit and keep going, 👌 Good luck 👍

This place gets crowded, but a good place to stop for a short break and some snacks. They have bottled water, soda, drinks and a few small snacks. They also have small sandwiches too. Access via Priority Pass.

Well I wasn’t going to bother reviewing but now my 2nd time here (p.s. avoid flying through Mexico City at all costs if possible
2 hours of having to wait for bags and go through customs just to check them again
.) but having been in lounges across central and South America, this one by far is the worst. It is overcrowded, selection of “free drinks/snacks” is super limited (see the crazy line for the awful free snacks in photo) and not great, and the noise levels are ridiculous and mostly because of staff talking loudly and using their noisy brooms and plastic dust bins like drums constantly in how they clean up - seriously you have to “try” to make that much noise. Then there’s the “hustle” where they ask you if they can bring you anything to eat but you have to pay for that and they expect tips, making that clear. Honestly if you want a peaceful environment wait at an empty gate, or decent food go to a terminal restaurant, you will be better off.

Better eat somewhere else. The place is hot - lack of air conditioning- the Wi-Fi is terrible, the buffet of beverages is ok, the food only snacks. Worst lounge I’ve been.

  • 1/5 Lea W. 1 year ago on Google
Very disappointing. Don't expect any food, they say they have a buffet and then serve one very sad "burrito"(flat ham&cheese sandwich). If you're looking for drinks at a bar, it can be your place, but it's definitely not worth the entrance fee.

  • 3/5 Roberta G. 10 months ago on Google
The lounge is not easy to find. It is not air conditioned. The pastry and bread offerings were stale. No cream cheese for the bagels. The milk on tap was warm. The sliced melon tasted out of season. A probiotic dairy choice was okay and the yogurt was average. Over all I’m disappointed. The staff was excellent. The lounge is clean and fairly quiet. Plenty of places to sit.

If you like to drink , then this is the lounge for you but if your hungry then don't be surprised with the lack of food variety. No air conditioning in the sweltering summer heat which makes it very uncomfortable to relax. I actually went outside to 7 - eleven and brought food back since I was not impressed with a soup and salad they had on offer. Sad to say maybe the worst lounge I have visited on my travels. Dirty tables were not being wiped.

AWFUL. absolutely boiling hot, no air flow I found it incredibly hard to breathe the whole time, way too many staff members walking about in front of you all the time, makes it at uncomfortable feeling. Ridiculous, don't bother.

Ample amount of seating but it could get packed! I’m glad they’ve brought back some self serve hot food selections which I believe wasn’t an option for a while after the Covid fiasco. Like I say, there’s free food now which on my last visit I believe I had to pay so that’s a plus. Drink selections looked good and you’ll find the same snacks that you’ll be served on the plane if you’re on Aeromexico lol

50 Dollars is on the upper end of entry prices for a lounge. For that, you could at least expect that there is food available. Unfortunately, the only food that was available was soup. Every 15 to 20 min, they brought cold slices of pizza, which went quicker than they came because
everybody was waiting for food. Hamburgers, which were supposedly also available, never were. When we highlighted the issue and asked if this is normal, we were told that there is a separate food menu from which you can order. For additional charges of course. I am a regular traveler and have visited dozens of lounges across the globe, but this was a terrible experience. So terrible that I am proactively telling people to stay away, because it seems like a scam. People come to the lounge, no free food is available so you are forced to order from the menu with extra charges. Never again

This is one of the worst lounge experiences I have ever had. It felt like sitting in a buffet restaurant without any food to eat. I am vegetarian (more vegan) but this Lounge had zero vegan food options. I was told the salad is vegan but actually it had meat in it too. The only food to eat was pack of chips or some.salsa.and chips. I tried to get sangria for a drink but the servers are too slow and busy that you hardly get an opportunity to get a drink here. There are actually 2 Aeromexico lounges on international T2 terminal and both of them are exactly same. This was a disappointment

It's more like 3.5 stars. This is a very large lounge from their hub. There is some hot food selection(ok food like mini sliders and pizza ok quality) and some fresh veggies/fruit and some packaged snacks. The bar cost extra money however. There are people going around picking up used plates. Service is pretty okay. Pretty clean,

It’s too hot! Food is just ok but the service is great. Drinks aren’t cold because it is super hot, I guessed no air conditioning. Overall better than sitting in your gate.

This lounge comes free with a business class ticket departing on Aeromexico. It is a very large, well staffed bar. Plenty of beverages available...lots of choices, including several self serve wines. Free self serve small plates, limited options that rotate throughout the day. You can also order from a menu that is extensive, but you pay for it.

The Lounge is ok. The Snacks they offer are tasty. The waiter was very poor. He didn't even ask us if we wanted anything. He was also very slow to clear the table. And last but least the waiter was very unfriendly. There are two Bars in the Lounge. The female bartender should get 10 points. The male bartender was as poor as the waiter. The lounge is a calm place in the very loud airport. The staff at the front desk is also very kind and helpful. The lounge is clean and after every guest they desinfect the tables. I also have to mention the staff in the bathrooms. They were so friendly and helpful and the cleanliness is outstanding. All in all it is a nice place to wait for your flight.

This lounge is a joke. For real. They act shady about using the shower. The shower area person said to go the main counter. The main counter person sent me back to the shower area. Then the shower area person said the bathroom is being cleaned will only be available at 10pm. At 10pm they sent me back to the reception to “reserve a towel”. Believe it or not, they had a grand total of ONE towel available. 10pm also happened to be the checkout time of the shower area staff. Luckily I saw them leaving and made sure I can access the shower before the new person introduced some new rules to me. The reception and shower area staff is clueless. If their bonus depends on preventing usage of lounge services then they’re doing a really great job. The remainder staff seemed good. The table cleaning staff seemed very overworked though. It was only one woman who was doing all the cleaning and she seemed visibly tired. Also, not much food available like every other lounge at MEX. Maybe this is due to COVID. Some positive: the coffee is good.

Not that great of a lounge experience. It is nice they have some beers you can serve yourself, but many of their complimentary offerings are pretty sad and limited. Food is pretty meh. Sitting areas are decent. WiFi says it's limited to 2 hrs. One of the sadder airport lounge experiences I've had.

Cozy lounge with comfy seating, but wow its busy. The food options are basic, but still good. The main problem is how quickly they get eaten. Lots of self service can drinks and tons of beer. Plus the bar of course :)

This is a 1 star lounge with enough drink selections to get it a second star. I really thought this lounge would be great since it is Aeromexico hub airport. But instead it feels old and dirty. Food was poor enough I didn't really want to finish it. The seating is not comfortable and there nothing for long waits as I have seen in other lounges. The bathroom experience is terrible. Very small and always busy, smells bad, and since it is probably one of the better bathrooms it appeared that many aeromexico employees with access used it for their favorite place to get relief and I even saw an employee taking a bit of a morning sink bath. One solid was wait staff was very efficient.

Solid lounge relative to what is available at this airport. Free food and beverages that are of decent quality. The service at the bar is great but the staff working the rest of the lounge needs to improve or they need more help.
