Overall I am very impressed with the Almirante Farragut. My family and I had a very pleasant week away with mostly great weather. To start, the rooms are kept immaculately, are cleaned and maintained daily, have amazing views of the sea from most rooms, are fully air conditioned (plus a fan) and are supplied with complimentary water in a fridge. The beds are not particularly comfortable, but they are fine for a week and there is only a (very nice) shower, so not great for little ones. The food was always very nice and there was a good selection and variety across the week, however the vegetarian options were less than adequate, and they were awful at marking what was Vege and what was not. The staff are all very friendly and great with the kids. The drinks were all very good and free flowing (on all inclusive) and they offer reusable and recyclable cups for by the pool. As for the pool, it is a saltwater pool, is very well maintained and kept very clean, however be warned it is not heated and is FREEZING! If you are faint of heart, or have very small children and babies, be warned it will be a shock! That was my biggest criticism of the hotel, to be honest. Why can the pool not be heated!? Finally it is worth noting that while the hotel is disabled friendly (with disabled toilets and ramps everywhere), the main lifts are very old and have a tendency to create a step between the lift and floor. Also relating to accessibility; there is NO disabled access to the nearest beach.

The hotel was honestly spectacular....this was our first ltlimlr abroad and loved it. The only 3 things that let the holiday down last as soon as we checked in we where hit with a tourist tax that we where not informed about before hand, we had twin beds instead of a double, but the food was terrible...hot food was cold the cold food was warm and some of the veg was not cooked all the way though. The choices where almost the same morning, noon and night under seasoned or way to salty. All in all its a great holiday location with amazing views with the local town just a short bus ride away, the buildings in the town are astounding and well worth exploring.

An amazing, clean, and tidy hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Beautiful scenic views and a relaxed family environment. The only thing I would say is that the pools are sea water and chilly, and inflatables are not allowed in the pools, other than in the small toddler splash pool. Rhere is a gorgeous cove within a couple of minutes walk directly from the hotel grounds, down some steps, which lead to a sandy cove with crystal clear waters. The all-inclusive food is delicious with a very good variety to suit all tastes. Lovely fresh salads, cold meats, cheese and various hot diahes available. Highly recommend this hotel, we would come again.

Nicely located hotel with great sea view rooms on the one side and small bay at the other. Good food with proper variety of dishes (pretty monotonous as it goes to kind, but very tasty and well prepared). Service also not bad, but we had small unprofessional and unpleasant incident at the restaurant (therefore "only" 4 start in this part). Generally, nice option to stay and get relaxed as well if you want to visit some places in Minorca. Fully recommended for everyone.

The hotel staff are very friendly, approachable and happy to help. The rooms are well appointed, but you can still tell it's a 1960's hotel that's been refurbished (well done though) All the food is acceptable, with plenty of choice. At least 2 different fish dishes and 2 meat dishes. Pasta, paella, salad, everything you could ask for to be honest. Be prepared to travel to Ciutadella or Cala en Bosh though as the resort itself is limited, although there are two good steak restaurants.... And Jimmy Hills seems to be the place for entertainment. The pharmacy should you need it is through the town archway (you'll know what I mean when you see it) and bear left. It's a few hundred yards up on the right

Great hotel, fabulous location with great sea view from our room. Food good with plenty of choice, pool and sun terrace was lovely, again good views from the terrace. Everywhere kept spotlessly clean and friendly, hardworking staff.

Just returned from a fantastic week at the Globales almirante Farragut in Menorca and loved every minute of my stay. The hotel is very professionally run, and absolutely spotless. We checked in really quickly and were given a quiet room on the 4th floor, overlooking the town and the sea, which was exactly what we'd asked for. Some people have been critical of the food, however my wife and I never struggled to find something tasty to eat, and there were always plenty of tables to sit at, no matter the time of day or night. Juan at the Rotunda Bar was a gentleman and looked after us whenever we wanted a boozy drink in the shade. In the evenings at the main bar, Jose was also really polite and attentive. The rule of only ordering 2 drinks per time really helped to keep the queues down at the bar. My only issue was the ridiculous sunbed situation, where the hotel keeps the outside doors locked until 9AM, preventing anyone from accessing the sunbeds or the pool any earlier. This in turn created queues from as early as 7:45, then a mad dash to secure sunbeds at 9AM. This added a layer of stress to the holiday that I didn't appreciate, and also placed unnecessary urgency in hurrying through breakfast in order to join the growing queue at 08:30. Then once the mad dash was over, 95% of the available beds were reserved, with many of the beds unused throughout the majority of the morning. I would recommend that the hotel consider a different approach to managing the sunbed situation as it is the only thing letting down my overall stay. That being said, I would definitely return for another week at some point in the future.
