Good service but very slow kitchen, Valet parking was $40 because food took so long. None of the flavors were enjoyable in my opinion. Mushrooms tasted like burnt dried earth. Snapper was lack luster and arrived room temperature. Desserts were nothing to write home about. Music was absolutely abhorrent and entirely too loud. The restaurant went from entirely too hot to way too cold in a matter of minutes. The front doors should remain closed to help with humidity. Restrooms were not maintained. Food prices were in line with expectations but the taste was simply not there. They just opened, I get it. Hopefully this constructive criticism leads them to improvement. I’ll be back and can hopefully have a better experience so I can update this review after trying more things.

Boulon Brasserie and Bakery in Tampa, Florida was known for its delicious French cuisine and delectable pastries. It was a popular spot for locals and tourists alike, and one of the reasons for its success was its charming and sweet waiter, Clayton. Clayton had been working at Boulon for over 10 years. He was a tall, lanky man with a kind smile and a warm personality. He had a natural ability to make anyone feel at ease, and customers loved him for it. His genuine interest in people and his passion for food made him the perfect waiter. One day, a young couple walked into Boulon and were immediately greeted by Clayton. He showed them to their table and handed them the menus with a smile. As they looked through the menu, Clayton came back to take their order. The couple was new to the restaurant and asked for Clayton's recommendation. Without hesitation, he suggested the braised beef bourguignon, a signature dish at Boulon. The couple took his advice and were not disappointed. They were amazed by the flavors and thanked Clayton for his suggestion. From that day on, the couple became regulars at Boulon, always requesting Clayton as their waiter. They would often bring their friends and family to the restaurant and would always rave about Clayton's excellent service and recommendations. As time went by, Clayton's popularity at Boulon grew. He knew all the regular customers by name and their favorite dishes. He would often surprise them with a complimentary dessert or a special off-menu item. His kindness and generosity made Boulon feel like a home away from home for many of its customers. One day, the owner of Boulon, Madame Marie, decided to host a special event to celebrate the restaurant's success. She wanted to honor Clayton for his outstanding service and dedication to Boulon. The event was a surprise, and Clayton had no idea what was in store for him. As the guests arrived, Clayton was busy serving them, as usual. Suddenly, Madame Marie appeared with a microphone in hand and announced that she had a special announcement to make. She called Clayton to the front and told the guests about his exceptional service and how he had become an integral part of Boulon. The guests gave Clayton a standing ovation, and Madame Marie presented him with a certificate of appreciation and a bonus for his hard work. Clayton's eyes filled with tears as he thanked everyone for the recognition. He felt grateful to be a part of the Boulon family and to have the opportunity to make people happy every day. From that day on, Clayton was known as the "sweet waiter" of Boulon, and his popularity only continued to grow. He became a local celebrity, and people would come from all over just to meet him and taste his recommended dishes. Boulon became more than just a restaurant; it became a place where people came to experience Clayton's warmth and kindness. Years went by, and Clayton continued to work at Boulon, always with a smile on his face and a kind word for everyone. Boulon became a staple in the Tampa community, and Clayton was a big part of its success. Every time someone mentioned Boulon, they would always say, "You have to try their braised beef bourguignon, and make sure you ask for Clayton." Clayton and Boulon Brasserie and Bakery had become inseparable, and they had created a sweet and memorable experience for all who walked through their doors.

Boulon is a vibe for a weekend brunch. We came during a dead time but the atmosphere was still quite beautiful. We ordered: Caesar salad (7/10) Lobster bisque (3/10) I was unimpressed with this. When it came out it had dried over so not very appetizing. Le burger (8/10) It’s a great spot for a brunch or a group event.

Yummy weekend brunch. The croissant breakfast sandwich and the burger was great. We walked in with no reservation, the host was kind and welcoming & scored us a table quickly. Nice ambiance with a live musician (acoustic guitar player) made for a nice meal on a Saturday. We sat inside because it was a little chilly outside, however the outdoor patio looks great and they did have heat lamps for those who wanted to dine outside.

If you were like us, and find yourself craving the comforts intrude of a French bistro, this is your spot. A wonderfully elegant interior with marble high ceilings long bar and lots of glass lends to the atmosphere of being in France. They have an amazing bourbon and whiskey selection for those in the mood for a drink. The menu is classically French. So many different options with items like French onion soup, escargot, green salad with omelette, steak Frites and on and on. The mushrooms are a different add-on because they’re tasty and perfectly done. The wine list is massive. Great place for a Sunday or we can brunch, or a nice happy hour spot and dinner after.

I will be back. But the reasons I gave it a 4 were about the service on one of our desserts. The service was a bit slow. If I were in a French restaurant in Paris, that would be normal. But I’m not sure that will fly w Americans. On the dessert, the bread pudding was amazing and lived up the the standard you’d expect from a French bakery. The profiteroles not so much. My NY Strip Au Poivre was stellar and the cocktails fantastic.

Boulon Brasserie and Bakery is a culinary gem that truly deserves a raving review. From the moment I entered, the ambiance was inviting and chic, making it the perfect setting for a delightful dining experience. The menu is a masterpiece, offering an exquisite fusion of flavors that left my taste buds in awe. Each dish was a work of art, beautifully presented and bursting with taste. Whether it was the perfectly flaky pastries or the mouthwatering brasserie specialties, every bite was a culinary delight. But it's not just the food that makes Boulon Brasserie stand out. The attentive and friendly staff elevated the entire dining experience, providing impeccable service that made me feel like a valued guest. And let's not forget the bakery! The freshly baked bread and pastries are to die for. I couldn't resist taking some treats home to savor later. In short, Boulon Brasserie and Bakery is a culinary haven where passion for food meets exceptional service. It's a place where flavors come alive, and every visit is a memorable gastronomic journey. If you're in search of a dining experience that transcends the ordinary, Boulon Brasserie and Bakery is the place to be.

well, this was great! everything was flavorful and the service was great. The scallops were large and the risotto was rich. Only complaint I have is the cauliflower steak, it really lacked flavor and needed… salt. My husband ordered it and said he was fine with it but my gosh I was tempted to send it back! It wasn’t tender enough, could’ve probably been cooked a little longer and again, needed more flavor. Also, we are from Maryland — and the crab beignets were the truth! I was nervous they were going to use filler but it was all crab meat, no filler! Delicious with the spicy remoulade, too.

Delicious food and a great atmosphere. The outdoor seating was very comfortable. Staff and service were great and the cocktails are unique and tasty. The burger was excellent as were the scallops.

For this to be a French inspired restaurant, I was expecting it to have a French vibe. The music was extremely loud, like being in a club and service was very slow. The food was pretty good and inexpensive. The chef couldn't tell us what region the steaks came from, which was scary. Overall, I'd try again for brunch but not dinner.

We recently dined at Boulon Brasserie in Tampa and had an exceptional experience. Clayton, our server, provided impeccable service, enhancing our overall enjoyment of the evening. The ambiance, accentuated by the beautiful white Christmas lights in the Water Street area, added a festive touch to the evening. A delightful culinary experience combined with attentive staff makes Boulon Brasserie a standout choice. 5 stars without hesitation.

Sam was exceptionally wonderful! My team and I came down for a business trip and tried Boulon Brasserie for the first time, it was a complete 5/5 experience. From the food, ambiance, and service I wish I could give a higher rating! We will definitely be back. Sam suggested such wonderful delights, to include personal favorites as well as patron favorites! Needless to say, we were beyond pleased with every choice!

This was my first time checking out this restaurant. We were early and we offered to check out the bakery, but I decided to wait for the food. I've heard good things about the Berkey so I will have to check it out later. The atmosphere is light, the music is trendy without being overly loud, and he outside seating makes for great parties. Sitting inside, the decor is modern and classy. I ordered the steak frites and added the egg at an extra charge. I upgraded my steak to the New York Strip, prepared medium, and it did not disappoint. The table next to me ordered the same with the flank steak, it still looked appetizing. Mimosas are a must, however, they are pricy. If you're going to buy 4 or more, it is more efficient to buy the mimosa package. The only way to get flavored mimosas is to buy the bundle. Otherwise, this was a great experience and I will be back.

First off, aesthetics are off the chains! It is so pleasing to the eye and such a beautiful interior and decor. I loved and felt so wonderful being there. Parking is best in the adjacent building and you can walk to the restaurant, that’s the closest and easiest parking but it can get full very fast. We had a reservation with OpenTable and were seated immediately. Our server was so awesome and knowledgeable. I loved having her. Menu was hard to understand if you don’t know much about Italian food or the French words but our server was very helpful. Oysters: 1/5, it was okay. My first and last time. Fries: 3/5, delish and seasoned well, just a little soggy but not too bad. Verte & Frisée Salad: 0/5, literally the saltiest salads I’ve ever had in my life. I didn’t know you could mess up a salad until now. Had to send it back. Croissant sandwich: 3/5, it was okay, croissant wasn’t even with the ingredients and the juices were soaking at the bottom bread. Croque Madame: 1/5, this was recommended but it was so bland and not good in any aspect, especially texture. Strawberry mojito: 5/5!!! The best thing there! Creme Brulee: 1/5, it was okay. The flavors were not there and it was lacking. Overall, the food is not good at all but the aesthetics and service is worth the one time shot there. The mojito is worth coming back for and maybe will try dinner next time.

Very upscale place ! I would recommend for sure. It’s pricey but it is what it is! Oysters were delicious and fresh! Seafood bisque was soooo good, creamy chunky meaty prices and tasty! Highly recommend. They had heaters going outside since it was chilly which was perfect ! Waiter was slow but she had a very big section and lunch rush. Very sweet though.
