Definitely a hidden gem as far as Cuban restaurants in the Tampa Bay area goes! The homemade Sangria is a must try as well as the authentic Cuban sandwich and flan! The service is friendly and quick! Parking is never an issue and if there is a wait, it's worth it for the quality if food!

Amazing Cuban food! We were looking for an authentic place to experience the cuisine and we were not disappointed at all with our visit. The oxtail stew was AMAZING! The staff were very pleasant and helpful with the menu. They had restrooms available inside but I wouldn't say it's handicap accessible. The counters you sit at are quite high so I would recommend getting take out if you want to try the food but need special accommodations. We also did not see any young children inside because of the seating arrangements I would imagine that would be difficult, but if your child is able to sit in this type of environment They would be ok. The juices and smoothies are also amazing 😍 Highly recommend trying the food!

Authentic decent food with nice staff and service. I am surprised by the high rating here - the food is ok but nothing to write home about. The red bean sup was actually a pleasant surprise! The spices were on point and the bread that came with it was a nice touch. This was my first ever cuban sandwich and maybe I had too high of am expectation but I don't understand the hype. It's toasted sandwich with cheese, cold cuts, lettuce and tomatoes - very simple, and it was just ok here.

Delicious Cuban food!! Yellow rice and fried plantains were very yummy. The chickpea soup was a little bland but I added salt & pepper to it and it wasn’t too bad after that. The roast had a lot of flavor!!! So good! We’d definitely go back. Wish I had room in my belly to try the coffee but the portions were huge. We had plenty of leftovers

Such a great place. We have never eaten in the restaurant just the diner side and we've never had a bad meal. The portions are huge and the prices are great! Definitely a must try. Everytime we are in Tampa we always stop here. As yiu cam see from my pictures, I was so excited to eat that I forgot to take pictures before digging in.

One of the few places I can think of that exceeds the hype. Deborah was amazing and we appreciated all her recs. The entertainment was amazing, ambiance perfect, and food not only affordable and tasty but portions were generous. This place is a gem

If you want an awesome environment and legit, authentic Cuban food, this is the place! Got the Plátanos Rellano and it was amazing! Yuca was good, chimichurri was good. Cuban sandwiches we’re awesome. Yellow rice was excellent. If your looking for great Cuban food, good service and a great setting, go here! Oh! And the price for what you get is ridiculous! In a good way!

We dined at the Counter Service side and the service was quick, good was incredible, and a great atmosphere that dates back 50 years. Making the meal complete was the fresh pressed buttered Cuban bread (made in house). Perfect for sopping up the leftover juices from the Ropa Vieja.

I pulled in on a friend’s recommendation. I had my doubts. The place definitely does not stand out from the neighborhood. Orientation took a few moments too. There are several different areas. A bakery in the back, a huge bar style restaurant on the west side - perfect if you are alone and don’t mind mixing with other, and a sit down restaurant on the east side. Go around the back to access everything. Most importantly, the food. The FOOD! I was pleasantly surprised. I wasn’t crazy about the appetizer bread, but the main courses were very inexpensive, generous quantities and delicious! I got goat and fried fish. Also got some desert from the bakery afterwards. Everything was fantastic. If I were closer, I’d be here trying out all the dishes. Try this place out if you haven’t been. Fantastic first experience for me.

A true 5-star gem! A non- pretentious, authentic Cuban restaurant open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It is a counter service style place with genuine and speedy service. I moved away from Tampa years ago, and this is one of the places I truly miss! They have a very extensive menu full of great traditional Cuban dishes that are truly mouth-watering. Their Puerco Asado with yellow rice, black beans, and, of course, Yuca is my favorite. A must visit place in Tampa area

I can't say enough good things about La Terresita! This place is so yummy! Great food, great prices, great service! Perfect! We always go when we are in Tampa. This time we tried the chicken with yellow rice. Absolutely delicious! The Cuban bread that comes out before your meal is yummy too! Highly recommended!!

This is some of the best Cuban food that I have had in a long while. Cuban owners. Cuban staff. It's authentic and the owner, Don Louis, is a beautiful human being; extremely kind and generous. I highly recommend breakfast, lunch, or dinner if you want authentic Cuban food.

Some friends invited us to dinner with them in Tampa. They took us to Cape de Villa's at LA Teresita. One wanted just black beans & yellow rice, the other wanted Roasted Pork & Onions with yellow rice. My wife ordered a steak with black beans & yellow rice. I had shredded beef, white rice & French fries. Their Cuban bread was really good as well. Our server did a great job as well.

A friend recommended this spot for authentic Cuban food while in Tampa. It was a great recommendation. Our order: - Croquetas de Jamom - Tamal - Yuca Frita - Puerco Asado with Yuca - Platano Relleno - Cubano (small) - Guanabana Batido My favorite dish hands down was the Platano Relleno. I love fried sweet plantains and this was stuffed with some ground beef which was really good. The only thing I wouldn't get again is the Puerco Asado. The juice was really flavorful, but the pork itself was dry. If you too are looking for authentic Cuban food in Tampa (that's really cheap as well), check this spot out!

Decent cuban sandwich as having had many of these when someone asks if I want lettuce tomatoes mustard and mayo it pinches a nerve but I gave it a shot. It was not bad I had ask for it the correct way I know mustard only but was pleased. While not the best I ever had it certainly was not the worst. The platanito chips were overcooked and oily but some were salvageable and tasted good. The corquets were small but tast as well. Bought some pastries but haven't tried them yet. Overall I say when in Tampa give this place a try, the other dishes I saw looked delightful and smelled good.

My first time here or having Cuban food and I was a little disappointed. Cuban sandwich didn’t seem authentic enough for me from what I expected it to look like. Was flat and seemed to lack flavor. Tamal was not what I’m used to, and I didn’t care for the corn in the masa and it didn’t seem throughly cooked. Loved the yellow rice, red beans and yuca. The fish my friend had she didn’t care for it. I’m really surprised and don’t know how to feel about the menu for certain days. What she had wanted could only be ordered on a certain day and that was disappointing since we were only here for the weekend.

I’ve been going here for decades! You must order a cafe con leche. My go to is the Pollo Salteado with Morro rice & Yuca! The best Yuca! Always served with fresh hot buttered Cuban bread. Great value $

Love the good. Prices are reasonable and fair. Great staff and professionalism. The staff there treat my autistic son with such respect. He's been going to this restaurant since he was a baby. His special needs sometimes cause him to exhibit actions differently to what's "acceptable",or what some would call weird or abnormal behavior. The staff there are so kind to him and understand. They even told me that my autistic son is their "favorite kiddo" and that I should be proud of him. I am! Great place!

So frustrating! The rice was dried out as if it had been sitting a while and honestly tasted like instant yellow rice. The ropa vieja portion barely covered the bottom of the container and half of the meat was too hard to bite into. It was as if it had been sitting under a heat lamp for a while, and someone stirred it last minute. It’s just frustrating when you want to treat your family and order online only to be disappointed. We’ve been both coming here and ordering online or to go for as long as I can remember, but things are not the same. By the way, gave two stars because the platanos were perfect.

I sent this breaded steak back once. I know that they reuse the same oil in Cuba but omg. Will come back but please do better...😬. I'm not getting into how there was a 3.5" hair(with the root attached) embedded in my Cuban sandwich. To add insult to injury...the server tried to justify the hairy situation..claiming that it was a leaf that they used to season the bread🤢. Again, we'll pay the tab, compensate the server accordingly, be on our way and come back. Just another honest review.

Love this place! Been here about ten times now and each time was a great experience! Casual dining with generous portions at reasonable prices. I tried the beef stew with yellow rice! It was delicious! The portion filled me right up and I left happy! My server Leon, was great. Will be back!!

Cute and tasty cubian restaurant. The service was fast and the prices were reasonable. We ordered cafe con leche, cuban and steak sandwich, plus a churro from the pastry shop next door. Very tasty and delicious. The bread on the sandwiches were fresh and tasty. Would go back to try other dishes.

We had a good time here. We wanted to find an authentic Cuban place and we found it. I had a 4 ingredients omelette. My friends had Mexican skeleton and the Cuban one. Also, they loved the Cafe con Leche. Portions are good and is an inexpensive place

We were looking for something different to try. The cubano sandwich was very tasty. We ordered the appetizer platter, which came with ham croquettes, plantain chips and yuca fries. The ham croquettes were fried to perfection. The chips crunchy and the yuca fries were good. They came with three different sauces. The garlic, cilantro mayo was the best. We would come here again.

We came to Tampa to pick up a family member from the airport around 9 PM. It was on our bucket list to get some Cuban food while in the area. I found this restaurant online and the reviews were excellent so we decided to go there. Even though it was close to 9:30 PM, the place was fairly full. The service was good, the prices were very, reasonable and the food was excellent. while I have not enjoyed Cuban food extensively, this was by far the best Cuban sandwich I have ever had. I would definitely go again if I was in the area.

Inexpensive, good size portions and decent food. Indoor bar seating and a sectioned off area in the back for pickup orders. Not a bad option for quick food, but I've certainly eaten better Cuban food elsewhere.

Loved loved loved my experience here. The building itself is incredible with multiple venues to choose from for your dining experience. My all time favorite croquettes were so delicious! Love Cuban coffee and the staff was very friendly. Cannot wait to return!

Best authentic Cuban food in Tampa! Great value, prices and large portions. Excellent service. Live music most evenings. Delicious Arroz con Pollo, Yuca, and Guava Empanadas. They have a bakery/takeout side and a diner area in addition to the restaurant portion.

This was a great experience with authentic Cuban food. We had the Puerco Asado (Roasted Pork) and Bistec En Cazuela (Potted Steak n Sauce). Everything was good. Even the black bean soup tastes good. The wait staff looked professional and the hostesses were friendly. As soon as you get out of the car the smell of delicious food takes over. We also enjoyed our desserts at home. We'll be back for sure.

The food is good. Always a to choice for family get together. Been there a ton of times my whole life but some can be pretty bland. It's still worth it and I'll go back again and again. My only complaint is the run down, dirty atmosphere. You can see that they are not putting their money into the dining area as it's the same dirty carpet and run down tables and walls that I've seen since I was a kid. Really wish they'd fix it up a little. If but the guy who does the live music?!? He's awesome! Really good voice, really good vibes from his song selections.

The food was delicious! We had lunch in the cafeteria style seating side. It was like seating with friends you have not met yet. Definitely a place to visit at least couple of times to have a chance to try different dishes.
