😐 Lovely patio resturant...huge space...inside and out. Chips are made fresh there and they are perfect! Chicken soup is healing and totally delicious. The rest of the food was "spotty". We ordered the childs beef tacos plate and they were nothing less than "shamefull". Little "pellets" of beef tough... People often mention good, delicious,

Lovely patio resturant...huge space...inside and out. Chips are made fresh there and they are perfect! Chicken soup is healing and totally delicious. The rest of the food was "spotty". We ordered the childs beef tacos plate and they were nothing less than "shamefull". Little "pellets" of beef tough and hard as a rock came to the table...covered in grease. Nasty! So, the child only ate french-fries...which were ok, but not a wholesome lunch. The prices are very high!...no reason for bad tasting food. My beef dish...cut up with tomatoes, bell peppers and onions was a mess. Beans and rice were ok. So, I have to give them a 3☆ food rating. Great service from a "polished" wait staff makes for a nice experience. Charming ladies. Humungous bar! One of those...too bad..."almosts" has the looks, has the service...not the taste restaurants! Order the chicken soup! It's incredibly delicious!

I have been at this restaurant, at the end of August in 2021. The meal, that I have ordered, was quite delicious. Of course, when I have arrived, the place was packed, and I had to wait 30 minutes. Nevertheless, the wait was worth it. Since, their meals were quite delicious. At the same time, they had musicians playing, which was nice from the administration, to hire them. The prices, also, were quite fair. So definitely, if anyone enjoys Mexican cuisine, I would recommend a visit to this establishment.

Not like the grand ol' days, but still great and glad to have it around. Just that the margaritas were the best and they're just quite good anymore and the enjoyment of ordering was not there. The jovial and knowledgeable bar-keep of past was instead new and good enough, but it would be like coming to my work to find I wasn't there. Still quality enjoyable time, so still go, but personally I would do the patio as that adds to the pleasantness.

Went there for the first time and the food was soooo delicious...we had the potato tacos and the paIulo's salad..our waitress was very knowledgeable on the dishes and chose based on her suggestions. Very clean and quiet atmosphere with outdoor dining due to Covid-19 pandemic but it was a perfect evening. We will be back!

Hey this place is really good. Hostess super friendly. Service was excellent. Food was delicious. We had Burrito, fajitas ( which was full of meat most places give you a few strips of meat. There was plenty for 2 people to get full. Also had mojitos... best one I've had in a long time. Mint super fresh. Oh ceviche so good!!!

Pretty good place. I’ve been here a few times and I’ve always had a great experience. I like going during the happy hour and lunch special on Saturdays. When I was here it wasn’t as busy and we got to sit out outside, perfect day for it too. I got the Enchiladas Suizas with cheese and chicken. Very good. The beans and rice are decent. Not the most authentic but pretty close. The horchata was very good as well. My boyfriend got the red enchiladas with chorizo and cheese inside. Overall great experience. This restaurant is in downtown Claremont, so expect it to be packed at times. Great location near lots of shops and dessert places.

Must try!!!!! You want good Mexican food come here! I ordered Mixiotes and a Tlapeno soup. The Mixiotes is like a mole sauce, it will stain if it gets on your clothes. Also the green sauce that comes with that dish is really good. The soup was amazing they don't go skimpy on the chicken or the avocado. It brought memories of when I used to eat at my grandma's house. Really enjoyed it, we will be coming back again!

This place gets busy on the weekends so be prepared to wait a while especially for the outdoor seats. Food is good. Drinks are good. Nothing too spectacular but above average for Mexican food. Patio area is a great place to people watch. They had a good band called Them Kool Kats last time we ate there.

Casa Moreno is a staple in Downtown Covina. The food is freshly-made, authentic and the perfect portion. It is highly unlikely you will have leftovers. I go to this restaurant since they have a couple of vegetarian entrees: calabacitas (zucchini & veggies) and potato tacos. Both orders can be made vegan sans cheese. It's almost impossible to find potato tacos let alone potato tacos that are flavorful and made with the ideal crunchy corn tortilla. While I don't eat meat, I go with carnivores who share my ranking as they also enjoy their entrees. On Tuesdays ONLY, they offer which might just taste like your grandma's. If you enjoy live mariachi music, visit on a Friday night after 7:30 p.m. when Mariachi Ambiente performs. They are an energetic, youthful band that gets the crowd to join them singing the classics like "El Rey" or "Tragos de Amargo Licor." Be mindful that it can get loud as the main dining room is about 25 x 30 feet. If you want to enjoy the live band, you might be better off in the patio where the volume allows for conversation without having to shout. As far as margaritas, the Clooney Margarita is on point, although their house margarita packs a bunch. Be warned!
