Great place to discover this profession and extraordinary know-how, very good trainer who is patient and who communicates well. The place is beautiful and really well organized. As a bonus, we are entitled to a mini museum which describes the history of the Montreal forges, very interesting. I really recommend this training activity or visit for anyone with an interest in blacksmith quantity surveying or simply curious.

Great training, very educational. We are working on a piece chosen in advance which is a challenge! I loved it and I recommend it. The equipment available is very good and the forges are coal-fired.

For the history of blacksmithing in Montreal or learning traditional ancestral blacksmithing techniques, this is the place to learn and have fun developing a new passion. VRM staff cool and patient with the students. In short, go for a walk or take a class, you won't be disappointed.

Great place to learn more about trades involving metal transformation over time in the Montreal region. It's also a good place to learn the basics of blacksmithing.

I visited the forge de Montreal with my 12 year old during a homeschooling group activity. The visit was great and inspiring for both. Cultivating, rich in information and the passion and dynamics of smithing are felt and transmitted. Danke!!!
