Wonderfully nice people, Patrick was our host and he is an absolute gem. So friendly and suggested my mother a delicious dish. Food was tasty and flavorful and the fried calamari and spinach bruschetta are must-try items requiring a revisit! Love this place and will be coming back

My husband and I really enjoyed this restaurant as food was consistently good. Unfortunately that is no longer the case. I typically order the whitefish as it is always delicious. I’m not sure if they changed the recipe or the cook but this dish was only mediocre. It lacked depth of flavor (salt/lemon) And was served only warm. My husbands pork chop was served medium rare and the potatoes were undercooked. I have to say that the service was good but we arrived when they first opened so we were one of the first to be served. I certainly hope the mangers/owner’s little look into addressing these kitchen flaws. I truly would Love to return for an updated encore.

We have been going to Za Za’s for years and have enjoyed their white fish. UNTIL NOW. The white fish was wholly different and tasteless, prices were through the roof, they didn’t accept a Visa Debit card, lots of excuses and no reduction in the charge!! Not going back!! To many other good restaurants. And extremely noisy!

As someone who has worked in the restaurant industry. I am appalled by the waiter Bobby’s behavior. He was so incredibly rude. When we explained that we would like the check (after receiving our calamari appetizer), due to it being over cooked and rubbery. There was no apology or consideration for us as customers. Just a “sure fine here’s the bill” then walked away. His frustration and anger towards us was utterly palpable. The manager was helpful and waived the bill. However the treatment from Bobby was utterly disrespectful and gross.. When we were walking out, I told Bobby that “it’s nothing personal”. Then he promptly yelled throughout the restaurant “I don’t know what’s wrong with you people” I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, unfortunately.

Was hoping to find a nice local Italian restaurant for future dining but not gonna be this one. No bread on the table, the stuffed shells I had came out just warm and tasted like they were just reheated, shell was hard and filling very salty. Usually means something reheated. My friend had lasagna which he said was good and tiramisu was just ok. Staff was pleasant, atmosphere was the usually Italian, prices high for not even getting bread on the table. Won’t be returning here.

While we understand that restaurants are short staffed and doing the best they can, we had a reservation and waited 20 minutes before we were seated, and the hostess was not wearing a mask . Our server, who informed us she wasn’t normally a server, did the best she could but didn’t check in and wasn’t well versed in the menu. We were seated outside, which wasn’t bad. However, it became uncomfortable when two employees were having an argument in front of us and other guests . Overall, the food was good , but the poor service we encountered, unfortunately made the experience less enjoyable.

This is my favorite Italian restaurant in Chicagoland but my last visit has left a sour taste in my mouth. Our server made an offhanded comment, forgot about our order of crab cakes, and seemed to ignore our table throughout the night. The food was fantastic but when you are spending over $75 per person I expect the service to match.

The restaurant was cozy. The food was delicious. Unfortunately, the restrooms were out of order. The only option was to walk in the rain to another restaurant. It was inconvenient.

Our Server was Wonderful! The space is nice, cozy and clean. I went specifically because I was craving the stuffed artichoke and brought my Mom along because I saw they had risotto, which she loves. The food was mediocre at best. The risotto appetizer ($16) was like chicken with a bit of rice, albeit "not bad" tasting. The half dozen baked clams ($11) pic is self explanatory in that they were baby clams, was no clam in the one I tried, no garlic, no butter, nothing except dry breadcrumbs. The artichoke ($15) was a huge miss in that the white sauce was pretty flavorless (bit of same sauce on clams) with the same breadcrumbs and the choke wasn't cleaned so before eating the artichoke heart at the end, you had to clean it yourself which then had nothing on it. All in all don't think I'll be back.

We were at Italian fest. At every stand we had to pay cash. Since this was a spontaneous stop we did not carry cash on us. We had four members in our party and only enough cash for three. The lovely lady who took care of us gave us 4 Canoli's for the price of three. This kindness is rare and so appreciated . Thank you!

Our family dines here every few weeks and we are always happy with the food and service. Pasta is always well prepared and well spiced. Nana’s gravy is the best and the gluten free pasta is also very good. Over the years, I do not think we have ever had a bad meal and the pricing is reasonable.

It took them about 10 minutes to take my order after I was seated and ready to order. After that the food took about 15 minutes to come after I ordered. I specifically made a request of the food I wanted and how I wanted it and it was no where near what I wanted. I personally do not recommend this it was a bad first time. And the drinks were way to watery.

This place is decent for lunch and dinner options. The appetizers were better than the main course.

Husband made a reservation for my birthday. Husband ordered the lasagna for his dinner. Once he was into 2-3 bites, the interior of the lasagna was cold. Spoke to the waiter, who apologized, took the meal back to the kitchen. Returned 15 minutes later with the same dish. The tomato sauce on the dish tasted like someone opened a can of sauce (no seasoning) and just put it on the plate. Very disappointing. There was no offer of comping the meal or anything else - just “so sorry” from the waiter. Not a pleasant birthday experience.

First the food was actually good. Our waiter was not good at all. He forgot we asked for butter for the bread. He forgot our appetizer and you would think the manager would have come over to apologize, also never happen. He did take off the bill, but it took away from the dinner experience. Now some like and others dislike, but he almost never followed up on how the table was doing. Overall not a great dinning experience. I expected so much more.

God bless the chef! He's the sole reason this place is up and running still. The food is fantastic, but the service is not good. When we came in the hostess was on her phone and didn't even look up at us. Anyways, the wife and I thought this place was great and luckily for us we got a reservation last minute on our anniversary. Homemade, locally owned. The ambiance was great, good prices, good portions.

Nice Italian place. Clean and inviting. Staff is attentive and helpful. Scallops app is delicious. Most entrées were very good and flavorful. Desserts were delicious. Creme Brulee was the star of the night! We will definitely be returning.

Great ambiance, great menu, great service (Nicole was wonderful). Great taste to my oyster ravioli. My only issue was it was not served much more than warm. (I hate to send things back.)

I had lasagna the last time I was there it is the best I've ever had. I've been here before so far I've not had anything I didn't absolutely love.

Absolutely Delicious!! Each one of us had something different, I had the Bracciole, One had Fruitti de Mar, another meat raviolis and the other a gourmet pizza. I also ordered the stuffed artichoke for appetizer the best I had ever tasted!!! Everyone loved it!!! The service was excellent as well....
