We came on a lazy Sunday afternoon. The cafe wasn’t very busy. I had great expectations, and was disappointed. Sure, the atmosphere was cool - big unfinished farm table, lively and bright interior, pastries and bread beautifully displayed. But all this does not matter if staff isn’t warm and friendly. Person behind the counter took my order in robot-like fashion (and I ordered twice, wanting to try more things on the menu), unsmiling servers, haphazardly dumping our food and beverages on the table that the coffee spilled. And the pastries - we’ve had better to be honest. We will probably try another location, but not come back here.

Visited Tatte so many times in Arlington and although its always been lunch and hard to find seats, we always end up sharing a table and well worth the food. Everyone is great and I am so happy one is open in Reston. We visited our first dinner time around 6 pm when there were hardly any guests and it was my worst dining experience and centered around Anthony F. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich and specified toasted. He said it always comes toasted. Guess what..it never does according to the server. We ordered dessert. He goofed up the order and when I asked for the cold slice of apple pie to be warmed (a microwave was behind him), he said “the oven was closed”. I could go on. And I have a 20% tip before we saw how incompetent he was. I pray he isn’t at Reston.

When it comes to high quality breakfast, brunch, lunch and coffee, you can't go past Tatte. We are regulars and it's for a very good reason, they just get it right all the time. This time it was the lamb hash for me and scrambled eggs for my wife, and I want to back tomorrow to get it again. Couple this with great location, great atmosphere and great service and it's one of the easiest 5 stars I've given

We picked up a 9 inch cheesecake with red berries to take to a dinner invitation. It was a bit of an embarrassment when it was served as it did not taste like a cheese cake. Moreover the bottom crust was dry and did not taste fresh. In addition it was packaged in a plain brown box, the type which is found in a grocery store and it cost $58 ++. We understand that the place just opened but the line was extremely long and standing in it for such a long time and getting a below standard cake was really a disappointment. We would not recommend it.

Sweets, sweet, and SWEETS! If you’re looking for an authentic bakery and cafe, this is your place. They have every possible of bakery items you can imagine. With a fully staffed coffee bar in the center of the place, it’s truly the heart and soul of the place. The staff are truly the lifeblood by their dedication to go above and beyond to ensure that each customer gets a personal touch. With a huge outside seating area, and lovely art surrounding the place, you’re in good hands inside and out.

Very casual & laid back coffee shop with a good choice of cakes and desserts. The vibe is so relaxed and it offers out side sitting as well. Good for evening chat over a coffee or weekend bunch. Update: the food menue is also good for a caual dinning!

Went to Tate with my hubby and besties, had a great time! Food was amazing , I recommend the lamb hash and Lamb Shakshuka verses the sesame coated , egg, and tomato dish pictured… I didn’t enjoy it but I just ate from Everton else’s and it was great! Atmosphere at Themis Tate was super packed, like most of them but they did have an outdoor seating option which looked nice but I recommend sending someone in early to hold down the seats.

Familiar vibe of all Tatte locations. Came here early on a Saturday morning and it quickly got busy but not as crowded as other locations which is nice. The variety of pastries seems less than other locations. Latte was good. The potato, mushroom, spinach bowl was good but the portion size seemed to have shrunk. The egg in a hole with the Jerusalem bagel was a bit bland. Service can be a bit friendlier.

Pricey but delicious! The signature latte was not my favorite, but the scrambled eggs with the tomato mousse and the chocolate croissant are incredible. Not busy either early Sunday morning (9am). The servers were also all very kind and helpful! Love this place

very disappointed! the quality of the cakes had seriously decreased... I had a fruit basket tart that ended in the trash , it was really tasteless and didn't even reach the level of a cheap supermarket around the corner !!! the crust was tasteless and the filling cream tasted like the ready whipped cream sprayer from the cheap supermarket ...which is so disappointing when you go specially to what used to be your favourite bakery!!!!

Stumbled upon this place on a cold Saturday morning and stopped by for a quick bite. Ate breakfast there and ended up buying fresh baguette, chocolate croissants etc. from the bakery because everything looked so good. Ordered smoked salmon, avocado and egg sandwich, and traditional Shakshuka (and African dish). There was no disappointment. And the coffee was amazing.
