The Clarksville Y provides a warm, welcoming atmosphere that is excellent for families and is accommodating for everyone. The childcare here is top-notch. I drive across town to come here daily because they are truly phenomenal, and I know my children are in the best of hands. All of the staff are so friendly and personable. Everyone from the front desk to the wellness floor will greet you by your name and with a smile. The wellness manager is one of the most professional, humble, and nicest people I have ever met. Any concerns I have had were addressed immediately and with care. The weight room is full of positive, like-minded individuals who motivate and encourage one another. Most of the members are nice and are well-versed in basic gym etiquette (for instance, not tossing weights towards other people), providing a safe and hostile-free zone to workout. It's nice to get away from the bar-like atmosphere that most gyms possess. 10/10 would recommend.

Great facility and staff, but had to switch gyms do to clientele. Ex: Young woman covered in Indian tattoos, never wipes the equipment down after leaving puddles on the seat and screams "PUMP HOT ONES" with every rep. Clean the place up and I'll come back and give 5 stars.

Our first experience with this Y was today. Signed up for child swim classes. Unfortunately, upon arrival we were informed that not only was the class for the day canceled but all 4 classes would be cancelled due to pool renovations. The staff at the front were very apologetic but still a frustrating situation. Im leaving a 1 star review because when a class (especially with kids) is completely cancelled, parents should be notified prior to the day/time of the class. No email or call was provided prior to the start time of the class. Other parents walking in were in the same situation as well. I had planned my day/month trips around this class. I will likely not return to the Y. Update: Just received a call asking if I’d like to reschedule or get a credit. No apology whatsoever about the inconvenience or lack of communication. I asked for a refund since we will not be returning. An apology from the person calling to reschedule in this situation should be standard protocol. That’s the professional way to communicate. I will be sharing my experience with other families that have children.

The gym etiquette is non-existent. The employees that work out there are treated with different standards. If you speak up they will treat you even worse. On of their employees who works out there walked into my power rack to grab weights while I was lifting heavy and almost made me slip and hurt myself. This same person also continually is grabbing weights in using and when asked to stop she continued. They say negative things about me and other patrons out on the weight floor. Both the managers do not seem to care about this and honestly we are tired of it. The child care is great but the gym floor manager and their employees are Terrible. If I thought it would do any good I would continue to mention it but they do not care. I would not recommend this gym at all until these managers start to control their employees that work out there.

The place is run like a ponzi scheme. If you're there for the pool don't even bother. I was a member here for almost 2 years and I was denied access to the pool more times than I was granted access to the pool (went almost every day). They purposely withhold this info because they need your money. I even call in before I ever went just to make sure and would get a yeah it is open during open swim hours of course and then come in and it wasn't open! I put in all the time, I even go out of my way to do their job for them and ask specific questions is there a swim team is there because if I don't ask 20 specific questions about who might or may not be using that pool I will get a generic go away yes it's fine and I will show up and it won't be that way hell I'll even ask the 20 questions and still get it.. I give them my money and they can't even tell me whether or not the pool is operational for real. And then when you go to complain they say oh yeah we should be fixing it we just got new hires we just got this that it'll be fixed to keep you from canceling oh and if you try to cancel they will really start throwing out these Buzz words. It's all fake designed to keep hope alive and keep you paying monthly so they can keep pocketing that money. I have to go in and hope I get what I paid for and more times than not I'm left feeling very disappointed in this companies ethics. This is not a one-off experience this is a pattern that is institutional in this place because the leadership is clearly ambiguous with their ethics. I would go there and pay a daily rate to use the pool when it's actually available but it's so hard to catch it available and they turned me away saying I had to be a monthly member. I guess they don't want my money so I'll be going to the Clarksville athletic club from now on where the pool is always available and they don't double dip on the lanes with their members. This place needs all new management and policy in order to fix the pool situation

I'm someone who definitely does better in group classes. There are classes offered for every skill level and almost every type of physical activity. All the instructors are kind and knowledgeable, and the staff has been nothing but helpful at every turn. The childcare workers are lovely and my 1yo son get excited when he sees where we are going.

We signed our children up for swim lessons, but the kids spend more time on the side of the pool than actually learning how to swim.
