Sometimes good fishing, easy boat access and dock, one of the closest lakes to the F-M area! Only thing this place needs is trash cans!

I love this lake but the boat launch is a little steep for my pickup. I've had some really good fishing on this lake.

Silver is a decent lake but has some problems. It's barely big enough for recreation, but small enough that the wind usually doesn't cause too many issues. Like all the area lakes the algae makes clarity a problem in the summer, and I've seen blue-green algae blooms some years. There are perch, largemouth bass, sunnies, northerns, walleyes, and rough fish. All are small. Catching keepers is a chore. Of all the fish it is best for bass. There is a "beach" on the northeast shore, north of the boat ramp. it's a nice shaded grassy area, but it is littered with cans, cigarettess, and other garbage from the white trash that hangs out there. I've never had a problem with them, but I would never want my wife to be there alone. The swimming area is a sandy/mucky bottom that nicely and gradually deepens. The boat ramp is adequate. There is plenty of parking about 200 yards north of the ramp. No toilet. The lake sees a lot of action because it is the closest lake to Fargo/Moorhead.

Good place to relax. Others on the lake were friendly and courteous as we were to them. This could really be more user-friendly if there were more trash barrels and it cleaned up more by the landing. Over all nice day

Kinda stinks to swim in, but can let the kids fish off the dock and they'll catch small perch all day long. Nothing big enough to keep though. Sure taking the boat out here fishing would be great.

A great place to drop your boat in. If you see dip your toes in, best to remember that is a public access point and it is a lake. Seaweed and fish will be present. It is a great spot to have a cold picnic though. There are no options for grilling or cooking what you bring, so pack your food with that in mind.

Nice lake. Big enough to go tubing, but not to busy you have to worry.

Good access for boating and enjoying the lake. Small area to let kids in the water. It can be busy this time of year considering social distancing. Small area for that.
