Hate crowds and epic pass drama? This is the best area for you. Nice and refreshing to ski somewhere like this that isn’t a mega resort but has the essentials and great skiing. Spring cat skiing in some amazing bowls and enough terrain for every skill level. They also offer uphill access outside of operating hours to get some dawn or dusk laps in.

We have NEVER skiied before but this was an incredible experience! We got a little confused with the parking as there are 2 parking lots. Essentially, once you take the exit, there a fork in the road. If you're looking for beginner lessons (Valley) you go left to that parking lot. But if you're not doing beginner (Basin) you go right. Our instructor was Scott Hurley and his wife is also an instructor. They're really nice and patient. We went Christmas day so it was REALLY crowded. Would've like more social distancing protocols. Gift shop is really expensive, but what gift shop isn't? Also, if there isn't enough snow, they'll make snow just to give you the full experience.

Love the wide open areas that offer lots of different difficulty levels. Absolutely beautiful. You can park for free close in and walk right onto the slopes which is great. The vibe feels similar to Arapaho Basin. We had a great time. Be aware it can get windy.

Wow! Took my boys on their 1st snowboarding trip! 2 hour lessons ...and a day later... they were living their best lives! They told me their instructor was great! Decently priced so I'm told... since this was their 1st time not sure how other areas are priced. Someone else referred me here. All the staff were helpful and full of knowledge regarding the area and the sport. We definitely will be coming back! Lodging area could use some recliners 😉 Food was decent and decently priced. Drinks were available also at a reasonably priced. And I like that we can bring our own food. Even have microwaves to heat up Great experience for all of us!

Absolutely one of the best place to ski especially for the money. Has everything you need from beginners all the way to expert. All the staff that I encountered were tremendously friendly and helpful. Especially Adam (ski instructor), Maddie in the sport shop, Jane, Jessie, and Dave in the basin rental shop, and the ski patrol team. I highly recommend Loveland as a great ski destination

I went to the ski school and it was a whole new experience. This was my first time and I rented my equipment from another shop in Denver. The place is nicely maintained and the staff is friendly. I saw a lot of kids getting skiing lessons and I think the instructors are good. I took only the lift 7 and it was very good for beginners. While I was learning how to 🎿 I enjoyed the beauty of Colorado mountains. This place can get busy on weekends you might have to park your car a little bit away from the lifts. It was difficult to carry the equipment from the park to the ski area but they have shuttles. The restaurant at this place was also nice and prices were reasonable. Overall I'm happy with what I experienced.

Mostly locals and skilled skiers. Makes for a much nicer experience than the resorts. No lines even on “crowded” days. I wouldn’t call it a hidden gem, but it’s the best option if you live in the area. A true ski hill with options from beginner to advanced. Sometimes I wish the lifts we faster with more access to the back country and expert terrain (instead of hikes and a cat), but that’s also what keeps the tourists away a bit. So it’s probably perfect the way it is. Will be my regular mountain as long as I live in Denver.

I had a great time here as I have many other times. I would have liked some powdery snow, but only so much you can control. It wasn’t crowded at all, which is good, and the staff was excellent. They have a lot of space for each lunch, and you can bring your own food. I would highly suggest this place. I just wish there were places like this in Jersey.

We are beginner skiers (4th time skiing) and I highly recommend this ski area! I loved that they have a separate area for the beginners to learn and get comfortable. The free shuttle service to the more advanced area was nice! The rental process was also very easy and they even have someone to help you measure your foot and help you with your boots. I bought the 4 pack last year and I found this to be an awesome value for folks like us traveling in from out of state! The food and drinks were also very reasonable and not inflated as I have found in other places. We can’t wait to come back next season.

Although this was our first time to Colorado let alone this mountain, and we fell down the mountain more than snowboard... We thought this place was amazing! Great views, everyone was friendly and the private lessons from Zyler were fun too.

Had the greatest time with my son and sisters boyfriend, both of whom are beginner/intermediate skiers. Very friendly staff, fast lifts and no crowds. At one point asked a lift mate “where is everybody?” He gave me a look and said: “this is Loveland. Just don’t tell anyone.” So now I told everyone. But don’t tell anyone else. Loveland is great. Don’t pass it on 😉

I had a great time skiing at Loveland Valley. It’s nice because if you ski only in the valley the tickets are about half price (you can’t get the tickets in advance for this option). If you are a more experienced skier this might not be a good option for you, but it was perfect for me because I was teaching someone to ski for the first time so obviously we weren’t going to be doing anything crazy that day. I really appreciate that Loveland still has that small-resort cozy appeal. It’s the little things, like the fact that when you rent boots they let you leave your shoes on a rack (at your own risk, of course) instead of forcing you to pay for a locker like other resorts do. It wasn’t crowded, even though it was the Saturday after Thanksgiving, the lifts were running efficiently and the staff was really nice and helpful, especially to the new skiers.

Loveland is the best!!! We come here from Fla for spring break every year. The staff are wonderful, prices are great compared to others in the area and they have plenty of trails & lifts for our skill level. We'll be back next year, thanks Loveland! ❤️⛷️🏂

Great time skiing after 22 years. Forts time west. Always skied in east coast. Trails are all maintained. The lift assistance was phenomenal. Shuttle to upper lot from Bottom lot were great, friendly drivers, and well maintained. Lodges were full, had to share a table with some people. All good.

One of my favorite Colorado ski areas. Small but has a sorts of good terrain and gets dumped on often. It's got gorgeous views and it's nice because you don't have to go through the tunnel. Great place to elope or have your engagement session, too! They also do a mass mountaintop matrimony on Valentine's day every year which is a unique and fun way for couples to elope!

I’m from Ga. So never been to slopes up here’s totally different experience. The lines went pretty fast wait time today max 15 min. Also for 1 day after Christmas prices her were cheaper for lift tickets over $100. Food lines were short and food was good. How ever , I would encourage you To get ur rentals the day before or get there early.(last pic is the rental area) Also they do not have ski bins or jacket rental at the Loveland ski area rental. Over all everything you would need in a ski resort. The have slopes for every level. Beautiful mountain. Very helpful staff.

Great experience right on the Continental Divide and skiing/snowboarding above the Eisenhower Tunnel. Love that there are some lodges built at the top of or in the middle of runs that you can go into and warm up! Big enough to have enough terrain to cover but small enough to not feel like you're going to get lost. Wind chill will get you so come with layers and gear to cover your face depending on when you go (we went in February with a high of 15 but wind chill of -15).

Loveland is one of the best choices for skiing near Denver. It has a variety of nice slopes and great sceneries. One of the major advantages is that it not very busy. Second, if you get your pass in advance, you can save lots of $$. The major drawback is that sometimes can be quite windy. Overall, highly recommended.

I love Loveland! Buy the 4-pack pass every year and it’s the perfect amount of time for me, not to mention a great price. I only ski here during the week as this place can get pretty packed on weekends, due to the close proximity to Denver. Has a nice selection of different level runs and the views up top are pretty incredible. Always a fun day on the slopes!

An affordable ski area with a good variety of runs. I would recommend getting there early so you can get close parking. Great views! Check out the roost cabin on top of the Ptarmigan lift.

👍👍 A very Scenic Drive elevation 14,130 ft. The highest Road in North America. Was able to see Longhorn sheep plus a few grown creatures and birds. I would recommend this drive. Be sure to take your drinks and snacks nothing is available inside of Mount Evans.

👍👍 Parked in the car park for $5 and then a short walk along the road before starting the upward hike. It's 20-30 mins walk through forest over rubble before you get to the lake. Stunning views when you get there. Can continue up to the Glacier for even better views. Great hike, good for families a...
