The yummiest and cutest little burger bar! Only can fit about 3 customers at a time along with the cook and cashier. It was so amazing! Highly recommend!!

Great customer service. The french fries are really good along with your burger of choice. They are not always open so keep your eyes open for when they are.

At one time this place had outstanding burgers and fries. Times have changed to some degree. 4 years ago I would rate the burger 9/10. The fries a 7/10. Today burgers are a 7/10 & fries a 4.5/10. Burgers are still quite good. Just not as good as they used to be. Service is sometimes outstanding and other times tolerable. I consider the burgers still worth the stop but no longer order the fries. However, the real gem of this place is the building itself. Well worth the experience. You need to try this place at least once.

By far the best Burger in CleburneTexas! Maybe in the Dallas Fort Worth area... Hand cut tomatoes potatoes onions jalapenos avocado!! You name it.. Hand cut right In front of you... And not to mention the crew they have working there... Some good old Southern girls with smiles on their faces! Grab you a mouth watering Burger and eat it outside or take it to go... I've been coming here for years and it's never let me down.. They are only open from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday.. But well worth it!

The service is awesome. The ladies are very nice and polite. You can eat inside ( they have about 4-6 chairs inside and they also have a picnic table where you can enjoy your meal outside. The prices are very reasonable and "NOT" to high. Most importantly you can call ahead of time so you don't have to wait in line. This place is in the downtown area of Cleburne, Texas

I haven't had a good experience here in years, ever since the current owners took over. Today was no different. I ordered a junior cheeseburger for my daughter at lunch time. Was given a 45 min estimate for pickup. Got there and was told "I put 45 min on that. We have quite a few people in front of you"... that was at 35 min so we went and sat in the car. Went back in 15 min... still no food. Lots of people waiting. My daughter had a class to get to so we just left and canceled the order after almost an hour after ordering. A junior cheeseburger... almost an hour. 😒 (This order was placed on DoorDash. If it had been for delivery, the driver would have been assumed to have been at fault.)

It was one of those "Time Traveling" experiences. They opened in 1949 according to their sign and it felt as though nothing has changed since. Some say,"when you have a good thing, why change it," and I think the Burger Bar definitely has that mindset. It set among the quaint downtown of Cleburne, Tx. The burgers were cooked to my perfectly medium but if you have a specific way you like it, I am confident they could make it to your liking. We did not try anything else so I have no reviews for other food. If you are into Time Traveling then take a leap back into time by visiting Burger Bar in Cleburne, Tx.

I hadn't been here in 20 years but it was still as delicious as I remember. We had to wait forever because its just 2 ladies in there cooking up the good stuff for everyone. They have the fries like wingstop and the burgers are huge. Would definitely recommend.

This is an awesome historic restaurant in downtown Cleburne. The burgers and fries are excellent, prices are fair, and service is great. You can get take out, dine in, and eat outside.

One of the best burgers I've had in a long time. They definitely have a liberal butter use policy on the buns, but they weren't overly greasy or soggy. I got the jalapeno burger; the flavor of the patty and fixings was superb.

I only want a hamburger on occasion but when I do, this is the one I want! They crisp the inside of the bun to perfection. They use quality meat. I love their fries. And it is all served by some of the loveliest people you can meet!

    BEST BURGER IN THE STATE!!!!!!

  • 2/5 Denice H. 4 years ago on Google
I've given one star for the friendliness of the ladies, I've given one star for the taste of the burger. BUT over priced especially to be given that bag full of grease. Wait a half an hour for two cheeseburgers and two small fries. Fries that we couldn't eat, might as well have poured us a bowl of Crisco oil. Just a bag full of greasy slop so bad they were stuck into a ball. Wasted almost $17.00 to throw half of the order in the trash. We won't be back.

Tiny little place. Great food!! and it's a little part of History my mom's 87 and she used to go by the exact same place and get a hamburger while walking home from school. It was on the TV show 'Texas Bucket List' It is tiny place there are 3 or 4 stools at the bar you can sit inside and eat. But there are 5 or 6 picnic tables outside.

Best restaurant owner Casey Waits, he takes pride in keeping a good staff and delivering up a great meal. If you are looking for a good burger go see Heather @ the Burger Bar in Cleburne, TX the oldest burger joint in town. Also they were featured on the TX Bucket List.

We have lived down here for over 8 years, and finally stopped by to check out the famous Burger Bar! It is every bit as good as it’s reputation. Home style, greasy burgers to die for! We will be back, soon!

I ate here yesterday. This is a cool tiny little building that was opened in the 40s. The hamburgers are excellent. The french fries are cut while you’re waiting. No dine in but there are picnic tables outside to enjoy your food. The staff was super friendly. I will definitely be back anytime I’m in Cleburne.

I usually pass though Cleaburne at times when this place is closed, but after a year of trying, I finally hit an open time. Holy Cow!!! Literally! Got a bacon burger and it was delicious. You can tell that the beef is freshly sourced and they don't over-season it. You get a good hint of seasoning, but the fresh beef flavor is the dominant taste. Bacon was quality and delicious too. Bun was toasted on the griddle and then added to the burger still on the griddle as well. Cheese melted perfectly. The fries are freshly cut from potatoes and fried to perfection. Just crispy enough, yet still some soft/soggy ones. Great combination. The guy before me in line got some kind of fried and battered little onion pieces on his burger and a few of them ended up in my fries. They were amazingly delicious as well. I will definitely be adding them to my burger next time I stop by. There is basically no indoor seating so I grabbed a picnic table outside. There were a few flies hanging out, but not a big deal. Weather was nice and I could hardly pick up my burger due to all the friendly folks driving by and waving, so I had to wave back. God bless Texas!

  • 5/5 Errica T. 11 months ago on Google
My husband I tried this place for the first time we’ve had a Bailey Burger. They are delicious, fries are fresh cut, so they’re not crispy if you like non-crispy fries and the onion strings are to die for. Would definitely recommend

Tiny place so everyone was elbow to elbow, but the 2 ladies working were down to earth and working their butts off. The food was pretty good except I got a large fry for $4 and got maybe a handful if I was lucky and were a little soggy....but burgers were awesome!

I travel a ton and I airways struggle finding real good hometown cooking... Until now! My food was so damn good I almost kissed the cook. Super friendly, flavourful, best burger in Texas 100%. Dinner let the small brick building fool you, there is some real magic gapping in there, oh and they fresh cut their fries right in front of so make sure you these wonderful women out here cooking up food good enough for me to drive from Dallas to get! I don't care of I got work out here or not, I'm coming back.

I really like the food and the prices but the wait time is a little ridiculous. I placed an order over the phone to come pick up on my lunch break and they told me thirty minutes, I show up after 30 and still ended up waiting over thirty more minutes until I had to leave to go back to work without ever getting the food because of the wait. An hour wait shouldn’t happen at any food place

I placed order for 3 hamburgers, fries and drinks. I had never been here before but everyone kept talking me what an awesome place it was. I LOVE a really good old fashioned hamburger so I listened and went.... MY BIG MISTAKE!!!!!!!!!! WE COULDN'T EVEN EAT THE BURGERS OR THE FRIES (gave the meat to the dog) and threw away the fries. All I can say is that it was a wasted $30!!!!! I really don't think 3 bottled sodas are worth that kind of money!!!!!!!

The history alone makes this a must visit. The burgers are good, and the atmosphere is truly unique. Be prepared for the tight quarters, that is part of what gives it its atmosphere.

  • 5/5 Megan D. 3 years ago on Google
Dropped by early on a Monday, so they weren't very busy. Got a bacon cheeseburger with grilled onions and it was pretty much as perfect as a burger can get. The bun held up under the juice, which is always a big test. Bacon was crisp without being overdone, and they gave me a huge pile if grilled onions, which places sometimes skimp on. Fries were passable. Hot, greasy, and tasty. We will be back for sure.

I would rate our meal of a regular burger ($4.50) and fresh fries at 3 1/2 stars. It's the tiniest burger joint you'll ever see, definitely worth visiting. Its location is near the Johnson County courthouse about 10 minutes north of U.S. Hwy. 67. Our food was a tad greasy but you won't mind.
