Food is great, portion is on the small side. Seafood is fresh. Gotta rave on the lemon chicken, very good and juicy ! (Not pictured) Easy to order via the online QR code. One particular female staff is rude and unpleasant. Asked to clear a plate on table and she rudely remove a bowl of soup(we still wanted it) and not the plate without saying anything. Have 12% discount if order via QR code which sorta offset the service charge.

Pre ordered food for special celebration. The shop needed $100 reservation fee. It was crowded. Serving staff was clearly insufficient. I had to walk to counter to ask them the serve the pre order food. Server was slow to follow up. Waited for ages for them to deliver the correct drink. Worst of all, they attempted to double charge the drink. Very very hard to get a service staff. I highly do not recommend to visit the restaurant during big occasions as they did not have sufficient staff. In addition, the server who served us drinks did not wear any mask. Also the $78 soup which needed to order ahead of time was nothing worth the taste of $28 soup. It was a waste of ingredients to use on the soup.

Food is good, especially crab bee hoon and golden sauce crab. Sambal chilli best in singapore. Only pity this type of food and price cannot eat everyday… 😅😅 But they have Sze char set lunches quite affordable also…

Came here for dinner on a weekday and had a good time. Not only did we pick the live fish that we wanted, but the staff were also attentive and friendly. Food was very tasty with our favourite being the razor clam, the golden salted egg eggplants and fish maw soup. We’ve ordered their crabs to-go and they were yummy too. They have many tables, so we didn’t have to book. But can always call in to check just in case. Overall recommend! We’ll definitely come back.

One of my family’s favorite places to eat at when we have birthdays. We even visited during circuit breaker lock down. I’m disappointed this recent visit, though. We ordered our usual crab dish but it was less than satisfactory. The crab was not fresh. One can tell when the flesh sticks to the shell. The other dishes were still good so I’ll give them credit. One other issue I have is that they now have sitting schedule. 5:00pm to 7:15pm is sufficient time to have a nice relaxing dinner and chit chat but the problem is that 5:00pm is too early to start dinner. You can come a little later at 6:30pm but the waiters will start making you feel you have over stayed your welcome at around 7:15pm 😒. Next slot starts at 7:45pm which I feel is too late as I will be too hungry by then.

Disappointed with the last visit. Waited very long for our last dish. Asked to cancel but was told it was being prepared. Had to wait another 15 minutes. Felt the restaurant should have valued customer satisfaction over making a few more dollars. Previously… Definitely a go to place for seafood. Their crabs are nice (can be pricey). Chin Huat does black pepper crab, chilli crab and salted egg crab superbly. Have not tried other cooking styles. The roast chicken is also very good. But don’t get it for takeaway cause the skin looses its crisp by the time you get home and the best part of this dish disappears.

They have air con and non air con seats available. If you want to be seated in the air con area, better to make an online reservation first. They had a wide variety of live seafood. We had ordered 2 crabs. Total weight at 2.3kg. Cooked with salted egg. One tubot fish weighed 0.98kg. Cook in Hong Kong steamed style. They will weigh the seafood in front of you and put it inside a big plastic bag. The fish was ok. One of the crab was ok. The other crab’s meat was not so firm. The salted egg taste was gd. A bit disappointed with the crab’s standard.

First time to Chin Huat Live Seafood. Went there on Monday for a lunch birthday. Quite a few items we wanted was not available due to no stock. Definitely seafood is a must here. We ordered a chilli crab, cereal prawn and steamed fish. Like the steamed fish, the meat was so soft and fresh. The yam paste is a bit too sweet. Other then that, the dishes are all up to expectation and is not pricy too.

Finally! Come here with my parents and they loved it! We ordered a Sri Lanka crab 🦀 with chilly flavor , crab is not so big, flavor is really good 👍🏿 The Cereal Prawn is really big portion and the shrimp 🦐 is soooo big! This dish with the highest CP value! We like the abalone! It’s big, fresh, tender and flavorful! Highly recommend! The amaranth with three colored eggs is my favorite veg dish in SG, this restaurant cooked it good! For dessert we have the coconut 🥥 budding with ice cream. It’s not too sweet and can share with 2-3 persons! All in all, we all love here and definitely will come again!

Chin Huat never disappoints. The razor clams were excellent as always, and the chilli crab was fresh and cooked to perfection. The deep fried man tous were the perfect accompaniment to the savoury sauce. We also had a deliciously savoury seafood hor fun. The coconut jelly dessert is also a must-order.

Fantastic food, the service was 5 Stars all the way. The staff is friendly and very attentive. We felt right at home. To the point we went back the following week to try their suckling pig which was out of this world. We have already reserved a private dining room for CNY. Simply can’t say enough good things about our experience. The

This restaurant has been around for a while, but I really don't understand what the hype is about. I guess it's subjective, but I feel that their food quality and price point are similar to that of Jumbo and Long Beach Seafood. The food is not bad at all, just nothing very memorable. I live in the area, and I wouldn't even choose to eat here. In my opinion, there are so many other places in Singapore that are more accessible and will have the same menu with the same quality.

It's nice to have a seafood restaurant at the west side of Singapore and don't need to travel to the east just to have seafood. The food was very good and we all enjoyed it very much. The pork ribs was very tender and it's a recommended dish. We had the dungeness crab and the meat was firm. Drunken prawns is always a must to order when we are there. Definitely no regrets to the food that we ordered. Not to mention, service was good and thank you!

What a place to try seafood and some tasty Chili crab. We chose the crab we want, they weighed it and voila the magical dish was there. We also got some Mantou and egg fried rice with the crab and they were good too. The service in this place is really good and I would definitely recommend this place

One of my favourite seafood restaurant in Singapore. Visited there recently after quite long time. Food quality is still there, and their service is much better than before. Although it is not every-day dish but it is good to have a gathering with your friends, family members or colleagues. Not recommend to bring a car as car park is quite limited.

My mum told me this stall have been here for many years. The foods are good, seafood taste nice and fresh too. The menu show a lot of variety and mostly in text, so to prepare to read through the menu as the prices are a bit on high side. However the portion are big and service are excellent. The waiter Mr Bon from Philippines can speak many dialects and madarine. The waiter and waitress serve us very well. The crabs is the star so prepare to pay for it. The drinks are expensive too.

Food was excellent. Service is fast and the prices aren't too expensive. Highly recommend eating here. Place is casual and can be a bit noisy. Edit: After going back a year later, I find the quality of the food has diminished slightly, while prices have increased. The cooking is not as good anymore. For example, the fish and bamboo clams were overcooked, and both of those are expensive dishes. I would still eat here occasionally though as the food is decent, and it comes fast.

Amazing crabs that were done to perfection! Would recommend hitting this place up if you’re looking to have Singapore crab dishes. You probably should call to make reservations too, since they seem really popular!

Our friend recommended this restaurant and we are so glad we made it there. This is our favorite seafood restaurant from our 6 days trip in Singapore. You need to take a 20 minutes taxi ride from the downtown area. This restaurant is surrounded by the iconic Singapore flats and most of the dinners inside are local people instead of tourists. The price is on the pricy side but I promise you the food definitely worth it! The operations manager Siman was super nice and helpful. He helped us to select the best seafood they had for the evening. We ordered the pepper Dungeness crab黑椒螃蟹, Australian lobster姜葱炒澳龙, bamboo clams蛏子, green dragon chives青龙菜. All of them are highly recommended! Pepper Dungeness crab ($100 SGD): my favorite of the evening. I prefer pepper crab than the spicy crab, which is a famous cooking method in Singapore. We lived in California, US (we have lots of Dungeness crab) so we were hesitating about the price of Dungeness crab. However, we totally forgot about the price once we tasted the crab. The crab meat is so delicious and the pepper added lots of flavor to the crab. Australian lobster ($188.16 SGD) recommended! Though it is a bit difficult to eat, Siman helped us to break down the lobster and taught us how to eat it more efficiently. Loved it! Bamboo clams: so good! Highly recommended! It is so fresh and there’s no sand at all inside the clams. Dragon chives: it’s a local vegetable. We loved it. - Conclusion: the seafood here is just so fresh and delicious. It is hard to beat in our opinion.

A revisit to 镇发活海鲜since 30years ago when my dad last brought me there for buffet dinner. My recent visit was a totally different experience and dinner was really enjoyable. The staff were attentive and all the dishes we ordered were simply delectable. We had an indoor seating and the interior of restaurant is very pleasant. Toilets are clean and well renovated. Overall a wonderful experience revisiting the restaurant and happy that it is still so doing well. Sad that I couldn’t bring my dad again as he is no longer around…

I very much prefer these type of live seafood restaurants compared to the chain restaurants. All the seafood are displayed live in the tanks. You get to select the crabs and they will cook it for you. I highly recommend the chili crab with mantou. The sauce was cooked with just the right balance of sweet and spicy. The bamboo clams were huge and fresh. Steamed with some fried garlic and glass noodles, it was good good to eat while it’s piping hot. The fried hor fun has very good wok hei and was quite unique with deep fried crispy noodles. The service on the other hand, feels a bit rushed and inconsistent. I saw other tables being offered extra napkins, plastic gloves and lemon bowls to wash their hands while we didn’t get any.

Enjoyable dining experience. Food is fresh and seasoned well. We loved the Salted egg Eggplant, especially the salted egg sauce (thick and flavourful, felt like you’re slapped with salted egg in all directions). Prawns were very fresh and juicy. Crabs were well-seasoned. We loved both the black pepper and golden sauce seasonings. The Eefu noodles was just average. Coconut pudding dessert was the best way to end the meal 😋

Other than one server who made us stand around our table, the rest of the them were superb and attentive. Especially love talking to a mature server who is enthu in sharing the food and services they are providing. Food is awesome, tasty and one of the best black pepper crab we have. Do make your reservation at least a week in advance cos is really popular.

Just had our Mother’s Day dinner. All I can say everything was great, from food to service, its amazing! given the fact that it’s a very busy day and occasion. We were sitting outside faraway In a corner initially, as the place was fully booked. Later they offered us a vacant table at the alfresco area, and took the effort to switch everything over for us, and I also noticed they offered the same to others as well. Little gestures like this made our day. Service staff were all very friendly and kind. Highly recommended, good job chin Huat team! 🤗👍🏻

Dropped by on a Sunday night and it was still busy, at times it is hard to get the attention of the service staff. I ordered the black pepper crab, gong bao chicken cubes, golden sauce prawns, vegan noodles, vegan tofu dish, bamboo clams and yam paste dessert. My only feedback would be for the bamboo clams to have more garlic (best with some fried). Overall, great dishes! Highly recommended to visit.

The food and service are excellent with every visit. The service staff are friendly, polite and efficient. It was such a delight to be looked after by Joyce who showed a lot of passion. The crispy roasted chicken had the crispiest and thinnest skin you could get. The XO asparagus was tender and fragrant. Drunken prawns were fresh. The stock was a tad salty though. Of course one must order the signature Golden Sauce Crab. This dish is always memorable. For dessert the coconut pudding with ice cream is a must. A lovely light dessert to end a scrumptious meal. I would recommend and return.

Overall food were good however they seems to be short of staffs, we took the first seating at 5.45pm on Saturday. There were still many empty tables available, however it’s so hard to catch the attention of the staffs and we always have to walk to them and ask for sth. What is the point of paying service charge? But thank god the food were ok!

Live seafood joint nestled deep in the sunset way estate They have huge lobsters and seafood on display in their tanks Staff was exceptionally patient helping to peel lobster shell One tip is that they can prepare your lobster multiple ways, so do try half sashimi half poached and remaining shell into braised noodles Highlights included the seafood horfun with crispy strips and kungpao chicken orh tuan and of course the variety of live seafood. Toilets looks new and nicely renovated

Best place for live seafood. Live tanks is always full and many choices. Reasonable price and friendly services. Remember to book on weekends and festive periods. Especially Remember to order gaint crabs in advance. The big sizes always sold out fast.

one of my top seafood restaurants to go to in singapore. our must-orders are their sri lanka crab - either black pepper (though a little too spicy for me) or chili works with me as long as they are 1kg and above, and poached live prawns in wine (which i never fail to down the broth after that). i love their silver seafood hor fun too, especially the crispy fried rice noodle chips which adds a tasty and unique touch to the dish. i have tried their signature golden sauce crab as well but isn’t a fan of it. i presume it’s just a matter of taste preference. overall, the quality of the crabs are fresh and amazing, clearly since they are fresh off the tanks. the australian lobster was a so-so for me. i still prefer the sri lanka crabs over the rest of the seafood. in summary, most of the dishes i’ve had are above average and prices are reasonable. services are good and the staff are warm and chatty. parking is a nightmare but that doesn’t bother me too much.

It's my first time trying this restaurant and I loved the golden crab and oatmeal shrimp. The golden crab sauce is made of pumpkin which we couldn't tell but it's very tasty, so good with the fried bread. Outdoor seating was nice, not too hot at all.

Great food with reasonable price. Order Sri Lanka crab, select 1kg 90SGD, price is cheaper than other famous restaurant. Other food is in big plate. Recommend to try
