My 16 year old daughter presented to the ED with a broken ankle after being run over by a car on 08/22/2023. She was rating her pain a 10. The woman at the desk was very rude to us and unhelpful and dismissive although we never complained about the wait or made any fuss. Meanwhile, my daughter is experiencing intense pain from the fracture. Cut to us being shepherded into a room in ED with several recliners and no bed. We were there from approximately 9 am until 2pm and at no time was she given pain medication. I appreciate the quickness with which the x-rays were taken and all of the staff behind the doors were doing the best they could but the lack of pain relief for my daughter was traumatic for her. The doctor himself was very kind and was able to get her a referral into an ortho within two days, I also appreciate that. He did also prescribe her pain medication without having to ask him for it but it wouldn't submit electronically so we had a paper prescription for a narcotic and, if you don't know this, pharmacies will often not accept them. If there was another emergency department to visit in Cleveland, I would have.

Excellent care. Made a very scary situation much better. Everyone that I had contact with was caring, and professional. My family was also treated very good. Thanks for caring for me and for doing such an amazing job. I'm so grateful for each one of you.

Went to ER for heart arrhythmia. After a brief wait, I was taken back for EKG and then to a room for IV meds to slow my heart rate. NP saw me first and said I would be admitted for observation. Hospital was full so spent the night in ER. Three other doctors saw me for about 60 seconds each and told me the same thing as the NP. I was transferred to SICU overflow room since no room on regular floor. ER doctors did not communicate any NPO order to floor nurse so I was allow saltine crackers and ginger ale Wednesday morning- I ate 4 crackers and sips of soda. Cardiologist came in shortly after snack and refused to do Nuclear Heart Stress test since I had crackers - so test was delayed another 24 hrs. Thursday the cardiologist said my tests were good and discharged me but Hospitalist refused to discharge since my Heart rate was 100-110, even though I was still having affects from the IV meds given during stress test, so spent another night in hospital. Friday the Hospitalist discharged me and said the lingering effects of the stress test medicines were probably the cause of heart rate - what I told her on Thursday. To top it all off, the ER doctors and hospital did not follow Medicare guidelines for 24 observation and BCBS denied the claim. Waiting on final resolution. Update: Tennova left a response, but did not include a contact name nor direct contact number other than the hospital main number. The operator did not know who to connect me to so i was connected to Risk Manager’s number and got a recording. I left a message with my name and phone number…no returned call as of 1/9/2024. BCBS has since notified me they have approved the event as an acute care admission.

My experience has mixed feelings. Dr. Wenger was a very good doctor. Took good care of me. I was put into a bed that deflated. My pressure cuffs were never hooked up after surgery. If I called for assistance they the staff took forever to come if at all. In the ER, I kept asking for something for pain and they kept putting me off. People were nice, just didn't seem very organized.

The nurses were the sweetest and most caring I have ever had the privilege of working with. So helpful and caring. Specially Cynthia. She made me and my very nervous husband completely at ease.

My 87 year old grandmother was seen in the ER after a fall. The staff were incredibly rude, never offered her anything for pain, didn’t even take her vital signs. She was given an X-ray of her leg, told she had no broken bones, and was sent home. She was completely unable to bear any weight whatsoever on her leg. This afternoon, I advised she be seen at Erlanger due to the continued severe pain. Lo and behold, she has a broken hip. My elderly grandmother was completely dismissed by the ER staff as being “fine” and sent home WITH A BROKEN HIP. It is amazing to me that this hospital has not been slammed with one medical malpractice suit after another. I will be meeting with an attorney and fighting for my grandmothers case and the pain and suffering she has endured due to this hospitals negligence.

I had a wonderful experience at Tennova with my recent surgery. All of my questions were answered thoroughly, and the staff was very friendly and professional. The surgery staff especially went out of their way to make me feel relaxed and comfortable from the time I arrived, until the time I was discharged. Would recommend!

My best friend and I have been going there for 15 years for our mammograms. Everyone is always super sweet. From the checking in at the front desk all the way to the tech that does the exam. Those ladies rock treats us like family.

Went to Tennova ER with stomach pain. After CT & bloodwork I was told it was my gallbladder. ER staff was professional and caring. My nurses were awesome. Met with Dr Worthington for the first time ever the next morning and he confirmed my gallbladder. Wow could not ask for a better surgeon and staff what a blessing. Now the only 2 things I didn’t like is the ants in the ER room where I stayed and around 2 o’clock in the morning I had to unhook myself to go to the bathroom cause there wasn’t anyone there to answer the nurses button. It would be 5 stars if not for the last two items.

The night shift ER personnel was great and took care of me. The next morning at shift change was a different story. I was in a room after all my testing was done for 6 hrs and didn’t know anything and nobody knew anything. I’d ask questions with no type of clue what was going on. After about 6 hrs was told are you ready to go to your room. It was ridiculous. But the nurses that took care of me in my room was great and kept me informed. Day shift ER needs to do better

I was treated great. I was given clear concise instruction and did not have to take my clothes off. The staff was friendly and professional. I had no problem finding the building. I was in and out in less than a half hour. Thank you for not bringing me more pain. And for finding my problem. Thank you bb.

I was taken to the ER by ambulance. I was treated very quickly and with complete kindness. I was then admitted and everyone I encountered was kind, professional and caring. The staff treated me extremely well. Thank you to everyone that played a role in my rapid recovery.

I went in for a TURP procedure and was in surgery less than an hour. I had minor pain in the first hours after the surgery but did very well and spent one night under care and was dismissed in the morning. Everyone was very professional and courteous. Even the food was good. I found nothing to complain about.

The nursing staff that took care of my husband during his stay were wonderful , attentive, and very helpful. Emmalee, Danita, Ashlee all of the staff for room 253 were great! The only problem we had was housekeeping was slow to react .

I recently had my fourth baby at Tennova and my experience was the best to date. From the moment I checked-in, the nurses were caring and knowledgable and made me feel so at ease. The Anesthesiologist spent quite some time getting to know my medical history and what would make my delivery experience ideal which gave me immeasurable peace of mind. Finally, my baby never left side from the time of delivery. As part of a new program, babies get to stay with momma the whole time and it was simply a magical experience. My nurses were so kind and attentive to not just me but baby too. Way to go Tennova!

Everything went great. I was there to have a hernia repaired with Dr. Worthington. He took good care of me and I was home that afternoon. The staff I met prior to surgery was wonderful. They were all so patient, humorous, kind, and they satisfied all my questions. Thank you all for making my visit a pleasant one.

Food and care was great, but I gave 4 out of 5 because the nurses wanted to monitor my baby’s heartbeat almost the entire time I was giving birth and that was super annoying. I told them I want the freedom to move around because I wasn’t on pain medication but I couldn’t because I was attached to cords. And those machines are designed for the patient to be laying down. They need to be more flexible and respect the patients wishes especially when I’ve had three other healthy, normal vaginal deliveries or they could update their technology that would allow the freedom of movement for those who chose to have an active labor without pain medication.

I was treated at Tennova. From arriving at the emergency room to my finally discharge a couple days later, I can not say enough how thankful I am for all they did for me. I am forever grateful. I got the best care and everyone there was so compassionate and quick to help me in what ever I needed. Dr. Aird is awesome and very knowledgeable. Dr. Benrashid is amazing and his surgical team is so funny and made me feel so comfortable. I was on floor 3 and a big shout out to the nurses and supporting staff there! Best Nurses and support staff ever!!! The lab technician's were great too. Very gentle, which I really appreciated. Thank you for saving my life!!! May God, the universe and beyond always bless you all!!!

Excellent experience with the birthing center! They listened to all of our wishes, let us be in control of the decision making, and clearly explained all options when things didn’t go as planned. The labor and delivery and post partum nurses were so sweet and kind and made sure us and our newborn were well taken care of. They also had a celebration meal for the couple and the food was surprisingly delicious. Overall an excellent experience and we will happily deliver all future babies here!

I went to Tennova for gall bladder surgery. As always, I was treated very well by wonderful nurses and staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful and did everything to make sure my experience was as pleasant as possible. I have never had any issues with the staff at Tennova. I, and my family members, have always been treated very well and received excellent care.

I was in the hospital for 7 days the 1st week of December 2023. I definitely want to praise my main 3 nurses Carrie, Ashley and Raven from the step down unit. They were very attentive and helpful with all my needs! They made my stay at Tennova so much easier.

👍👍 This is one the best medical facilities in the world. My parents loved the Clinic and I have doctored there for about 60 years. My wife is currently doctoring there. 😠 This is the absolute worst hospital to go to. The lack of care and knowledge every staff member has in this place is absurd. No one could get their story straight on what was wrong.
