Our first meal in Cleveland. We had the chorizo Big A$$ Burrito, #6 Nachos, Pelican Kiss juice, and buckeye ice cream with grilled bananas, all of which was great. Service was a little slow, but it seemed to be a bit of a busy night. 4.5/5

The food was very good. I ordered a burrito with chorizo and potatoes, the been and grain of day, a side of cornbread, and yukaton slaw. But they made a quesadia instead. And I didn't get my grilled banana. I also ordered a long Island and it took 12 minutes to get it. The second server dropped off two plates of food that was meant for a different table. When my friend did get his big a$$ burrito (that is its name), he ate it with two knives because they took away his fork when the server took away the wrongly delivered plates. The pad Thai was good. In short, great food, a cool atmosphere, and piss-poor service. Really disappointing because from 2002-2006, my wife and I went every Friday to JM. It was our favorite restaurant. Until they fix there service issues, I will not be going back.

First time coming to the restaurant. The place itself is a really cool corner spot. I I was very happy with the portions. The chicken and cashew salad was fresh. All of the food is reasonably priced. Looking forward to coming back.

Amazing Margaritas! My favorite are the fried plantains and the grilled chicken quesadilla. Always good!

Cool little place, food was good. But I've never had poorer service. The bartender was sweet and was great while we waited for our table. But the server was extremely rude and hostile. Never came to check on us. She was deliberately avoiding us, we eventually had to go up to the bar to get our bill so we could finally get out of there. Will not be coming back, I do not recommend.

The food was pretty good, my drink was great! HOWEVER, that was by far the worst and most unprofessional service I’ve had from a server in a LONG time. The bartender was wonderfully professional; however, we had to flag our server down for all parts of service, never got silverware or napkins, and she actively avoided us. She acted like we were a bother to her and provided the absolute worst service. I will not be returning solely due to the lack of professionalism.

Jerk chicken was not my favorite but it was a decent meal. The beans and rice were delicious. Shrimp and steak fried rice was excellent. Pad Thai was good but also not my favorite. Our table ordered the peach flavored margarita, it was bad and a waste of $27 , flavorless is the only way to describe, we tasted no liquor and no flavor. Apart from that I asked my waiter to add jalapeños to the pitcher and he was not having it. He bickered back and forth with me about why he couldn’t add jalapeños to our pitcher so that was very disappointing, which followed by a tasteless frozen margarita that tasted like ice. On a separate occasion I tried the flank steak dinner and that was amazing, so far my favorite thing on the menu.

Jonny Mangos is can’t miss in Cleveland- The chefs in that kitchen - have been bringing it for over a decade. If you are not eating here once a month, you have lost your mind. Good times - grilled burrito big plate with a spicy mixed berry margarita with spicy rim and a sweet beet fresh juice. Plus that banana…. And don’t forget the nachos- Yep; your welcome. Extras: They were smoke-free way before it was cool - as the only smoke free restaurant in Cleveland for almost a decade.

I have been craving jack fruit and I got it today in burrito form! Great atmosphere. Food was all very fresh and tasty. Great vegan and gluten free selection!

A great alternative option for those that don’t need meat. I do, so I ordered the meat lovers omelette and was pleased with my meal. The cornbread is good and so are the smoothies. The mimosas, not so much.

Great vegetarian, vegan options. We had the veggie quesadilla, vegan paid Thai, and the ice cream (with grilled banana and raspberry drizzle) for the littles. Service was OK. Likely had a younger, inexperienced server that wasn't very attentive to our table at our recent dine in. (Previous history with the service team has always been great, so I still give this place a better than good experience). The place is typically always hoppin', so the wait staff may have been a little overwhelmed. 👍 Spiced right, served medium-warm not piping hot, and drink choice are excellent.

I got the burrito large plate. The steak had no salt, Boeing flower tortilla, the most bland white rice, beans tasted like they were from a can, raw cabbage hit with a little vinegar was the slaw. Pico di gallo was good.

Vegan heaven! No compromise on flavor whatsoever. I had the breakfast quesadilla with tofu scramble and vegan cheese with pico, potatoes, and black beans - it was excellent! My husband got the granola and pineapple waffles with natural maple syrup and they were also SO GOOD! The brunch and lunch menus are big so there are plenty of options. Our waitress was so friendly and at tentative. Looking forward to many trips back.

I am really not sure why there's such great ratings at this restaurant. My family got to the restaurant about 6:20. We ordered by 630. There were so many take out people picking up food I believe the restaurant cared more about them than the people inside this restaurant. At 7:15 we flagged the waitress to ask why are all the takeouts being handled so quickly but we were still sitting here waiting for our food. We finally told her to pack it to go we did not get it till 735. I included a picture, the chicken is so burnt on both of our dinners it tasted like charcoal, not a good char. It was a shame that they even served it to us. There was so much salt on beans, we had to throw them out. I cannot recommend this restaurant.

One of my favorite places, so many vegan options, very inexpensive. Loved the scrambled tofu as a vegan brunch option, as well as the sangria!

10 stars! Best seasoned grill in Cleveland and they know what they are doing in that grill! JM is the go to when you just need a great meal. Servers are friendly and kind. Food is fresh and delicious. Period.

Top notch service!! Tacos were filled to The brim with beef. Margaritas were strong. Employees were super helpful. If your in the neighborhood do stop in. You won’t be disappointed.

Been coming here since 2001 and while it has had a revolving door of staff, the eclectic food menu remains the same with the best drinks and prices in town. It has a low-key festive vibe and if you have never tasted a mango long island then you have not lived! Give this Cleveland gem a try!

As a native to cleveland, Jonny Mango is truly a place that I miss. Every time I'm in towns I always make it a priority to enjoy the wonderful food and drinks!

  • 5/5 Clifton M. 2 years ago on Google
Been coming here for years. Getting your food takes awhile. Always has. BUT that just gives you more time to enjoy their pretty heavy pour drinks. It's pretty much a guarantee you'll leave here full and tipsy. Food and drink costs are also super fair.

Loved the food and the people! Such a warmth welcome to Cleveland. Also, they are suitable for vegans (which is great).

This was not good. We unfortunately went at a very busy time (with reservations) but out of 8 meals ordered, only one person thought it was better than "awful". Their food was really good though (I tried it too) so it's possible it's just a restaurant you can't order certain things at. But, the prices were good at least.

Healthy fresh trendy mexican food and drinks with a Caribbean flair. Pictured from left to right is their large Miso soup with shrimp added and signature hot sauce on the side, their large “Celery Stalker” juicer made drink, and their “”Caribbean Fries” which are actually fried plantains which are slightly sweet along with their custom salsa.

  • 5/5 Rachel C. 1 year ago on Google
This is one of my favorite spots. The chicken fried rice is in my top 3 favorite dishes in the city. It’s FANTASTIC! And hard to duplicate at home. They have great drinks as well. Parking can be a little tough and the place is small so I find it easier to get a table at off-times. The food is always worth it though!!

I came for lunch with friends, I got a salad and the fried tofu. The salad was good, but the tofu was a little on the mild side flavor wise. Would have appreciated either a bolder sauce or a little seasoning on the tofu itself. My friend has the bang bang shrimp, and my husband got a burrito, and both enjoyed their meals.

  • 4/5 Bailey H. 1 year ago on Google
The food was good! Was traveling from out of town and found this place that had both vegan and non-vegan options. I had the jackfruit burrito and it was really good. They also have amazing vegan nachos with a homemade vegan cheese! I would recommend a little better seasoning in the rice in the burrito as it was a little bland. The tofu was not good and was not seasoned at all. Felt like I was eating a fried sponge.

This was my first and probably last time here which is a shame considering the range of gluten free options they have. I came in with my boyfriend to grab a bite to eat. We were greeted by the bartender and told to grab a table. Our server took five minutes to come over to our table even though there was only one other table at the time. After, she brought our order, she never checked on us and then another server brought us the wrong check. I would not recommend drinks there as there was mold in the ice which makes me wonder how clean the establishment actually is.

Firstly, the food was really tasty. I got the Bus Boy Special and my husband got the vegan nachos- everything tasted great. The only issue was the wait time for our food. We came during lunch, it wasn’t particularly busy to our eyes and ordered just those 2 items. It took an hour for our food to arrive, and when it did it appeared to be exactly what we ordered: a plate of beans and rice and some nachos. We ended up having to take it to go because we just didn’t have the time to eat it there. Like I said, it tasted good, but the wait time was insane for such a simple order. If you have an afternoon to kill, this is a nice spot. I wouldn’t recommend it if you have any time constraints.

I always have a good experience when I eat here. I usually get the pad Thai or fried rice and my meal is excellent. I look forward to trying the chicken dishes that take longer to cook because they are specially prepared.

Great food. Made fresh. Has gluten free and vegan options. The bread and slather are always a great choice. Offers a kids menu. Does sell alcohol. Nice small patio with picnic tables. Service is hit or miss. Can order take out.

Idk who’s reviewing this place and I’m not a whiner by any means but this place was awful. It’s like a Applebees for people who wanna try “cultural” food except the food is made by white people… I ordered jerk chicken and what I got was burnt chicken lol no seasoning, no jerk sauce. White rice is not served with jerk chicken. The beans must of had half a bottle of salt in them. It was truly bad. In addition we waited over an hour when there was only 20 people in there… they made sure tho to get those Togo orders out tho no problem! I watched other people who came in a half hour after us get their food before us. I had to take it to go cause my family and i were so irritated. If you don’t have taste buds I’m sure you’ll like this place… 0/10

The food was bland drinks not good and the service was slow never got a refill and choked during my lunch the cook had to give me my check even tho we were only two tables being served. Won’t return this place has gone down hill not even any music very dry and dull

Long-time staple in the OHC food scene. Solid cooking with quality ingredients. The cocktails are fantastic. Love that they have a fresh juice option for those trying to be a bit healthier. I've always loved the pad thai and it's my go to, but I've tried many dishes there over the years and they are all quality.

If you are looking for good food this is not the place. I order a Margarita and the taste was pretty bad as well. The guacamole had no taste, chips are out of a bag.

I used to LOVE this place! Drove 45 mins just to get it! Unfortunately it’s not the same and I got food poisoning.

I use to love this place, because of their vegetarian and vegan options. My husband brought home, Vegetable Pad Thai. It did not meet my expectations. It lacked favor, sauce and veggies. However, the fried plantain was delicious!

Really cool place in Ohio City. Loved the vegan nachos and the black bean & feta quesadilla. And I am not a vegetarian or a vegan. Limited on tap selection. Realize that may be on account of The Rona.

Great, cozy little spot for a bite and a drink. A very delicious and creative vegetarian and vegan friendly menu, wonderful cocktails and a really helpful, warm staff. Been there three times as of this writing and everytime has been a great dining experience.

Great food. Great service. Those top shelf spicy margaritas were phenomenal. I think it was jalapeno and pineapple.

This quaint little space in Ohio City is such a gem! It was my first time going and we had an awesome time. Our server's name was Gabby and she was very kind. We let her know that it was our first time and she explained how they were known for their margaritas and other popular menu items that people liked. We went on a Saturday afternoon around 2:00 and we are able to get a table.some stairs! Very easy to find and clean. I got the vegan nachos and they were fantastic. The only thing that could have possibly made it any better was to have a vegan sour cream! I also got the tofu and it was delicious. The sweet chili sauce that it came with was delicious. I can't wait to come back!

Not a place I would recommend or go back to. The kids menu wasn't great, my 6 year old and her friends just picked at their food. My order came out inedible. Don't remember exactly what I ordered 3 weeks ago, but I sure remember how I felt once I left this place. Giving it 2 stars because the waitress was friendly and the bathroom was clean.
