Hope Lodge

Lodge

πŸ‘πŸ‘ I stayed here while my Dad was in the hospital for two weeks. Many caregivers and patients stay here even longer. It's a gorgeous house, spacious bedrooms, full bathrooms, and lots of good people. I didn't get to take advantage of their daily events and programs because I was at the hospital all day... People often mention Hope, Lodge, people, stay, wonderful, staff, amazing,

I stayed here while my Dad was in the hospital for two weeks. Many caregivers and patients stay here even longer. It's a gorgeous house, spacious bedrooms, full bathrooms, and lots of good people. I didn't get to take advantage of their daily events and programs because I was at the hospital all day, however the few family members I spoke to raved about them. Being a caregiver is draining and exhausting, so you have to be able to recharge your batteries, otherwise your care will suffer. Coming to my quiet room at the Hope Lodge and passing out on their comfy beds was a wonderful and a much-needed respite.

The Hope Lodge is a gift from GOD!! It's run by the American Cancer Society and donations (there is a wish list on Amazon of things they are always in need of). In April of this year my husband was diagnosed with a rare type of Leukemia along with a rare type of mutated chromosome. It's a place where patient's undergoing treatment (for cancer), their families and caregivers can stay for free. Yes FREE!! It's beautiful and relaxing, it's comfortable and inviting. The staff there is way above amazing. They are aware that you are dealing with a very difficult situation which has completely changed your life, forever. I could go on and on with praises for the people, the place and everyone involved in making it as close as possible to a home away from home. I've met several people during my/our stays who have become friends. Please go on line if you'd like more information. I'd give it a 10+++ if the scale went that high.

No words can show our appreciation for these accommodations..beautiful, comfortable, safe. Everything you need..housing, dining, and a very inviting staff. A chance to talk and share conversations with residents that are going through life changing experiences as we are. Thanks to all who have made this possible πŸ™

The hope house is amazing!! My mom has been there for a few weeks now, and we couldn't have committed from where we live. The hope house is close to university hospital which makes it super convenient. I want to thank the staff and outside asst for great meal, activities, and a great place to stay with all the help you need!!

Amazing place. I was lucky to stay here during my Stem Cell Transplant at Seidman Cancer Center. Tracy and her team were amazing. I couldn't imagine how I would have coped through this without this wonderful oasis to stay and recuperate.

Had the pleasure of volunteering at this wonderful establishment. The staff is pleasant and have a genuine passion for this place. Engaged with some residents during Taco and bingo night. Laughed, ate and finally got the pinata open! Residents shared their gratitude towards Hope Lodge..this is a little haven gem for many. GOD BLESS!

Hope Lodge is a beautiful facility with a truly wonderful staff. It has become our refuge in the midst of the storm. It is as close to home as possible for those from out of town who find themselves needing the expert treatment found here in Cleveland. What a blessing!

Hope Lodge is more than a place to stay, it’s a community. It was such a huge blessing to us. Not only did it give us a place to rest during a time when it was so needed, but they have thought of all the little details of what someone going through treatments (and their caregiver) would need. Thank you, Hope Lodge volunteers and American Cancer Society.

This place is amazing. My husband is dealing with Cancer and after chemo and surgery, We are now having to go thru 6 weeks of radiation. It has been a nightmare. We were driving an hour and a half each way daily when someone recommended Hope Lodge to us. It is only a 4 minute walk from the UH Seidman Cancer Center. It has lessened the stress for the both of us immensely. I can't believe how wonderful this place is. They have community kitchens and dining areas, a living room where you can sit and socialize with others or just read or watch television. There is a small library with a nice assortment of books. And even a small work out room and a pool table.
