The
food
here
is
amazing.
Between
the
two
of
us,
we
tried
the
tacos
(asada,
chorizo,
and
pastor),
a
queso
papusa,
pasteles,
and
plantains.
For
the
tacos,
the
pastor
was
super
tender
and
flavorful.
The
chorizo
had
a
nice
crust
and
fennel
(which
I
personally
love).
The
asada
was
perfectly
cooked.
If
you're
a
cheese
lover,
you'll
love
the
queso
papusa.
It
has
an
impressive
cheese
pull,
with
crispy
bits
of
grilled
cheese
that
had
leaked
out.
The
plantains
were
sweet
with
crisp
edges.
My
friend
said
they
reminded
him
of
his
grandmother's
-
which
I
assure
you
is
the
highest
compliment
that
can
be
given.
I'm
familiar
with
the
building
from
when
it
was
The
Big
Egg
diner,
and
there
are
definitely
some
improvements
inside.
I
hope
they
are
able
to
continue
improving
it,
because
it
is
quite
outdated.
The
upbeat
music
and
fresh
paint
give
it
a
carefree
feeling.
Still,
I
wouldn't
necessarily
go
for
the
ambience,
but
definitely
for
the
food.
