The location is absolutely fantastic, the rooms are huge and there is so much potential for this place. Sheets and towels were great quality and clean. The bed was comfortable but the room had a lot of room for improvement. A sign asks us to wash our own cups, plates and clean the toaster or we would be charged $30. There wasn't even dishwashing liquid. There were no toaster or plates and the only cutlery was little sticks to stir our drink. We ran out of milk pods on our first day (Saturday) and there was nobody in reception to replenish them. Cleaning staff do the minimum required - they came through to clean the rooms on Monday and didn't replenish the milk so we bought some. On Tuesday morning they replenished it. They don't remake the beds, which isn't a big deal but they pulled the covers up towards the pillows so they could have at least done it properly. The biggest surprise was all the black scuff marks on the walls (20cm long in the shower, big marks on wardrobe doors and on the walls). This is a policy problem, not necessarily a deficit with the cleaners. It may not be on the cleaner's list of to-do items but it could be done if management were on top of these tasks. The rooms are no smoking rooms but a huge tin can is used as an ashtray and sits on a plastic table in the carport, just outside our windows. The outdoors area needs cleaning as cigarette butts, vape pieces and tissues littered the carpark and footpath and bushed outside our room. Guests sat out there smoking and talking until all hours of the night for Saturday, Sunday and Monday nights. Tuesday was quiet. They are doing building works and painting out at the pool, so maybe things will change soon. It's an older building but packed with potential to have guests feel they've paid for quality. We paid $215 a night and felt we didn't get value for our money.

This place is called the Comfort Hotel but don’t be fooled by the name. In its day it might have been quite nice to stay but nowadays the phrase β€œrun down” is a compliment. From the holes in the ceiling to the water stained carpets, you’ll marvel at just how neglected this place is. Rooms are big, too big for the air conditioner to keep up. And don’t expect to find basic necessities like an iron, a toaster, crockery or cutlery unless you want to count the soggy bamboo tea spoon that I used to eat my cereal from a picnic bowl that I had conveniently left in my car. I give two stars because it is conveniently located in the centre of Cleveland so you can find plenty of nice places to eat and drink away your misery.

Staff were great. Pool refreshing but the rooms are showing their age. Still I’d be back.

The establishment has received a four-star review primarily due to the exceptional management led by an amazing woman named Darlina. She ensures the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of all visitors by providing them with everything they need. The pool is well maintained and offers a pleasant experience. Additionally, the establishment's convenient location allows easy access to various amenities and is in close proximity to Raby Bay Beach and a dog beach.

Change my review to fit in with β€œWOKE” attitude of some people. It is unfortunate that some people in society need emergency accommodation due to many different circumstances. However, the poor behaviour of and actions of some of these people ( the minority giving the majority a bad reputation) should not have to be excepted to accommodate them among business people, tourists and holiday makers. Blatant drug use, scrounging for discarded cigarette butts, the all hours of the day, loud abusive arguments between families and uncontrolled children is detrimental to any feeling or action of good will, kindness or compassion for the situation they find themselves in.

A nice and convenient place to stay. The room is clean and has a nice swimming pool. Just cross the street there're shopping area and food. Love Raby Bay views. πŸ˜πŸ’•

Room was clean and relatively secure for a bottom floor of a motel. On a 5 day stay the beds were sort of made the first couple of days but not at all after that. Toilet not cleaned at all the whole week. TV worked, with free to air channels. AC unit worked ok. The shower had no glass around it but was otherwise ok. It seemed very difficult to find staff.

Comfortable beds. Housekeeping comes too early and makes so much noise in the hallways. Don't stay if you're hoping for a sleep-in. Good water pressure in showers, bathrooms need to be checked for cleanliness. Shower wash/shampoo combo is terrible. Close proximity to Coles supermarket and reject shop though, so if you havent brought your own wash and hair care, grab some from the shops.

We recently spent 2 nights at this hotel, having stayed previously, and once again had a very pleasant stay. Our room, on the ground floor, was clean and comfortable, with new carpet. The carpets in the hall way had also been replaced. The swimming pool was undergoing an extensive makeover, and will be very nice when completed. The staff were polite and very helpful, and the hotel is in a great location being so close to the restaurants of Raby Bay and the shops and cafes of Cleveland. We will most certainly stay again when in the area.

We stayed here for a local concert for one night with family. Our room was very dirty, there was a large food spill/ dirt on the blanket in the cupboard, marks on the walls, and very unpleasant smell in the room. Beds weren’t very comfortable and the lighting was terrible. Loud noises in the hallway during the middle of the night, screaming, music etc. Was very unsettled, and was really disappointed with the uncleanliness of the room considering the price. Pool was not in operation. The staff were lovely, however the hotel needs major renovations and deep cleaning.

Not good. Dirty & an unhelpful manager. Booked room for 2 Sat and Sun July 2023. Arrived to find fridge with an exploded can of soft drink inside. Only power available was for lights and hot water. Rang and sent messages numerous times. No staff went near the room. Still unserviced and messy with no electricity when checking out Mon morning. At over $200/night I would suggest DO NOT USE Manager claims he knew nothing, he actually answers the phone when you call the premises to make a booking.

This was terribly overpriced for the state of the room. Bed was like a rock and discovered it was two bases put together no mattress and numerous toppers put on top. We didn’t sleep well at all. The light fitting was hanging off the wall (dangerous), shower door broken, furniture badly stained, carpet had trip hazards. This place had nothing going for it whatsoever. Stay somewhere else.

Nice rooms, bit of a walk to your car, especially the top floor. Has a lift which is useful. Price is a bit high for what you get. No cutlery, plates, just cups.

Look depending on what you're willing to pay for a motel this place just isn't it. Rooms are off putting and the beds are uncomfortable. Wouldn't recommend staying here for more than a night if that if you can help it. On the up side cleaning staff are really lovely.

Room was reasonably comfortable. Would be nice to add a microwave. Cleaners could put in a little more effort and in need of a bit of Reno work.. but there aren't to many options in the Cleveland area so there you are .

Dad stayed here for 1 night, the room was big and central location to restaurants and public transport. That is all that was great. The place is old, run down, bathroom was so dark due to black tiles and no window. The service is beyond words. No one looking after reception after 5pm, especially when checking in, enough said. Nothing Comfort about the accommodation. Don't book so your not disappointed.

Was very dissapointed with the villa, so many things not working, lights, air cons, ceiling fans, power points. The stairs were narrow& steep up to first floor bedrooms, door handle came off bathroom door, the whole place needs updating.

Room was unwelcoming with a smell and the bathroom has stains on walls. People stood outside our door smoking and drinking. There was no phone to call reception for things not working and the bed was uncomfortable. Value for money is a zero

Pretty basic room. It was okay for a one night stay. No view. No kitchenette but there's coffee making facility. The good thing about this place is it's only a five minute walk to the shops and cafΓ©s and about 10 minutes walk to the railway station.

110/NIGHTstandard rate, it's not too bad. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Large showers, medium size tv. Full size aircon. 50% of rooms have balconys with an average view of surrounding Cleveland. Can be quite noisy on a Friday and Saturday but also found car clubs and bike clubs "hoon up and down the road at i tervals.
