We
went
to
Cleveland
for
the
sole
purpose
of
going
to
the
Rock
and
Roll
Hall
of
Fame.
Since
the
DoubleTree
Hilton
Hotel
Cleveland
Downtown
Lakeside
is
a
Rock
and
Roll
Hall
of
Fame
preferred
hotel
and
mentioned
on
their
website,
I
didnât
check
reviews
before
I
booked.
I
wish
I
had!
While
the
lobby
is
pristine
and
modern,
the
rest
of
the
hotel
is
dilapidated.
Our
room
had
a
large
stain
on
the
carpeting.
In
the
bathroom,
the
wallpaper
was
dirty,
the
tub
and
sink
slow
to
drain,
and
the
toilet
slow
to
flush.
There
was
no
fan
in
the
bathroom,
only
two
lights.
The
ceiling
in
our
room
was
bulging
in
several
places.
It
looked
like
there
was
a
flood
in
the
room
upstairs
and
the
ceiling
wasnât
repaired,
only
painted
over.
Our
air
conditioning
was
set
to
60
degrees
and
the
fan
blew
constantly,
but
the
room
never
cooled.
We
had
excellent
customer
service,
but
the
front
desk
clerk
failed
to
mention
the
hotel
shuttle
service
or
the
$25
fee
to
park
in
the
parking
garage.
The
concrete
in
the
parking
garage
is
literally
crumbling.
We
ate
breakfast
in
the
hotel
restaurant
and
had
to
have
the
buffet
because
nothing
else
was
offered.
The
food
was
lukewarm
and
overpriced.
They
didnât
even
have
half
and
half
for
coffee,
only
Coffee
Mate.
Overall,
we
were
frustrated
and
disappointed
for
the
price
we
paid.
Itâs
hard
to
believe
a
Hilton
hotel
would
be
in
this
shape.
Really,
the
only
thing
this
hotel
has
going
for
it
is
its
location.
