So much to see and do. Had a blacksmith demonstration while we were there. Clean tidy well labelled old stuff even had information how some things worked. Had a old school telephone you could talk to a friend on.

Talk about a walk back in time ! So many reminders of everyday objects we used and took for granted back then . The early history of the Redlands Shire was covered admirably as were the history of First Nations people , Matthew Flinders and the early settlers. If you are at all interested in the early days of this very beautiful part of Queensland, I would definitely recommend a visit to this Museum. You will not be disappointed.

We visited on Tuesday as part of a group of 30. It was fabulous, you do need to spend several hours there, including a walk through with one of the informative volunteer guides. Delicious scone morning tea can be bought very reasonably. A very professionally presented attraction. Thanks for a great day.

A well presented history of Cleveland, surrounding suburbs and Bay Islands and very well worth your time, especially if you are a history buff. The museum is run by volunteers so dropping a few gold coins into the bucket on the way out is appreciated. Take your time to immerse yourself into an important past that contributes to the evolution of bayside suburbs. Enjoy a cuppa at the end from the kiosk.

What a hidden gem. Great variety of items from yesteryear. We went to the evening presentation held inconjuction with the local Drama Club and weren't disappointed with the short plays. Well done. Can't wait to take the grandchildren...(just have to keep a bit quiet that I remember using some of things in the museum)

All I can say is WOW - This is an fantastic museum. I have lived in the Redlands for 2 years after moving from Sydney & this is the first time I have been. I will definitely be taking family next time they visit from the UK as I know they will love it. I went today with my 27 year old son who is also visiting from England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 & he loved it. This is a must.

I love this little museum. But this visit had me endure the worst Mates play I have seen in decades. It does you no favours to affiliate yourself with this group in their current format. Also, didn't feel like their was any invitation to explore the museum... sad visit

I went to the museum to see the Gulflander rail motor and was amazed to see what else the museum held. My Dad and I had recently been to the Stockman's Hall of Fame, and agreed that Redland Museum was far better. You have an amazing array of horsedrawn vehicles as well as great cars, tractors and more. A stunning local museum beautifully curated and presented with great volunteers keeping it in tip top condition. The photos I took have been shared far and wide along with my admiration of the museum.

  • 5/5 Carilyn M. 10 months ago on Google

  • 5/5 Stef J. 4 years ago on Google
It's a small museum, but a fantastic all rounder if you want to see history from the local area. The collection is filled with items that have actually inhabited the Redlands and have, in turn, been donated by local residents. Many of the plaques actually note where an item resided, and it creates this lovely feeling of connection between the items in the collection and the area itself. Whether your local or visiting, it's definitely a place to check out at least once!
