What a lovely place, beautiful atmosphere. Live music in 2 areas of hotel. Food was really nice. Service was exceptional from the front of house to the very helpful waitresses. Couldn't fault the place. We will be returning.

Cleveland Sands Hotel impressed with generous, well-sized meals and a great selection. Cold drinks complemented the experience. An enjoyable afternoon filled with satisfying flavors and pleasant ambiance.

Unfortunately I have to change my review…. What an absolute shambles our Valentine pre-paid dinner was last night. The lady offered wine but didn’t know what the house wines were on offer for the deal (not a deal breaker). The entrée was like what you would buy out of a hot box and seriously, 1 beef croquette (we cut it in half as it was a shared menu) The mains were just over the size of an entrée and average, but the sauce on the pork and potato dish was the yummy but once again, minimal. Once our mains arrived I had to pull up the waitress for cutlery, obviously she didn’t notice that I didn’t have any when she put my plate down. Once mains were finished, we piled up our plates which sat there for 30 to 40 minutes waiting to be cleared. We had staff walk pass at least 20 times but obviously their empty hands were too busy. I just couldn’t wait anymore as it was getting late. I walked up to the male staff member, possibly manager. I asked him nicely if we could have our plates cleared as they’ve been there over 30 mins and if we could have our dessert. The manager did come and clear our plates but what he said pissed me. He said, thank you for bringing this to our attention… Hmmm…. No sorry for the delay. The dessert must have been a joke, what was presented you’d get at a kids birthday party or even a wake. Very disappointed. I looked at the previous reviews today and someone keeps replying from at least 3 months ago to date – “We'll take your comments into consideration to improve our future events” Obviously this isn’t working. What a disappointment. This review was 3 Years ago - Complements to the chef. My steak was ordered medium to well and it was cooked to perfection. The staff were very good and polite. Just a very lovely relaxing meal and atmosphere. I'll definitely be returning.

Went for a birthday dinner in igloo dining experience, totally recommend. Customer service was great, thankyou Taylor 😀 food was lovely and comes out in small platter portions. Love the hotel itself with its nautical decor.

Really good club. Outside beer garden. Pokies and live entertainment. Great place to watch the footy. Venue is upbeat and modern. Friendly staff.

So nice always fresh and terrific food, specials and kids meals are great. There is a nice beer garden on the side and excellent dining and pokies venue

I celebrated my 18th birthday here and had a good time with loved ones. In my opinion, I believe that the service from staff and waitresses has room to improve. I had noticed that waitresses were impolite to myself and the friends and family I invited, without reason. Otherwise, the food was nice; everyone enjoyed their meal. Also, without a request, the restaurant was kind enough to place ballons on my reserved tables, which was much appreciated.

Nice place, reasonable food, unfortunately they do not cater for and discriminate against disability. I have multiple sclerosis and I only have the use of one hand, therefore I cannot cut up food by myself when ordering my meal I asked the waitress if my steak could be cut up for me, her answer was no I asked her if she could ask the chef, and she did not answer me. When my meal came to the table, my steak was not cut. This was very disappointing. I was hosting a business function and spent over $500 at this venue. Next time I will be taking my business elsewhere.

We had prawn lobster sliders and arancni balls. Cocktails were quite cheap. I had $12 cocktail special tasted like it had alcohol which is good for the price. We would definitely come back.

Went for lunch as it had been recommended to us. Ordered chips and pork and fennel pizza. Chips $9.50 a serve very ordinary. Seemed like packet chips. Pizza was a joke. Hardly any topping only flavour was fennel. Friend had a steak and enjoyed it. (Very pricey). Staff were sensational. Happy and friendly without being overbearing

Wow what an amazing beautiful place to dine. We are regulars at this chain of hotels and as we get to know the fantastic staff, we are happy to travel to see them when they get promoted. We dove 40 min to visit Adam in his new venue and it is incredible. Adam deserves to be in this gorgeous venue, he works so hard and gives his heart and soul 100%. Congratulations Adam, you deserve every advancement in this Industry.

Had the Parmy and the Fish n Chips and they were really good. Freshly cooked crunchy chips, really lovely batter on the fish and the Parmy itself was really tasty. The only downside was the salad was pretty average, considering both dishes were pretty much $30@. I’ve just moved to the area and will be back.

This is a great pub. I saw the band You Am I there last night and loved it. The drinks were pretty cheap and the service was quick and friendly. The sound is certainly loud, too. There's stacks of free street parking as well. I didn't eat anything so I can't vouch for the food, but it looked good.

As a live venue it isn't bad. Lots of street parking. Bat at the back of where the crowd stands. Sound isn't bad either. Have seen some iconic Aussie bands play there and always been a decent little venue. Growing up in the Redlands the sands was always notorious for pub fights but it's scrubbed up okay.

Went to see You Am I play. Great venue for live music. Please get more Australian bands like this.

Great Anniversary afternoon and night out. Service was great. Relaxing in the beer garden listening to live music and then dinner in the bistro. We had balloons and flowers at our table and a complimentary drink. Food was great. The manager was so lovely. We will be back.

My partner was unceremoniously ejected from the Cleveland Sands Hotel the other night by a security guard after she used a disabled toilet and he loudly announced "you don't look like you have a disability". Shortly after a second member of their group was ejected for "using the wrong door". Naturally the remaining 8 of the group left because they didn't want to be accused of something strange by the overly aggressive security detail. Interestingly, women doing cocaine in the bathrooms and the obviously high young man dancing in the bar area were perfectly fine. I emailed the hotel to raise my concerns and it was ignored. The Sands used to be a nice place to meet with friends for a few, now it's not somewhere any of us plan to go again.

Great fresh food ..and excellent service Everyone at our table was happy with our food I had the Pumpkin and Beetroot salad, then the Salt and Pepper Calamari as a side dish to share with my friend

Stopped by for lunch after show at Redlands performing arts center with a group of friends. mixed feelings with the group for the meals and desserts My mains barramundi fish was tasty but the portion was extremely small at $29 the desert said chewy brittle something and there was nothing Brittle and chewy to the desert. Service excellent.. just don’t order fish from mains

It is a great place to meet up for northern Gold Coast and Brookfield peeps. Sunday lunch a few drinks with a solo artist playing a few tunes. We ate Pizza & Chips. Don't let the renovation deter you it is spacious can't wait to return.

Best steak I've had in a very long time! Cooked perfectly! Partner had some weird salad which she wasn't a fan of but that's her fault for not getting the steak. Good job chefs!

Great spot for getting out for an evening. The bistro is a nice relaxed vibe with most pub favourites on the menu. They also have a great range of premium steaks to choose from to accommodate any serious carnivore! There is also a nice beer garden located between the bistro and the sports bar that offers a nice outdoor setting to enjoy at any time, usually accompanied by some live music from local musicians. The sports bar has recently been refurbished and accommodates a decent seated area for televised sporting events and TAB services. The sports bar turns into a party spot around 8pm when the vibe is set and is regularly hosted by local DJs or bands. It can get pretty busy and loud! 😜. Wheelchair access and all the usual amenities. Check it out for a night out or casual lunch.

We had a big lunch group for my dads on Sunday 93rd birthday, very pleasant and helpful staff, we were introduced to a lovely girl who would look after our table. Balloons on the table, in the area we wanted, would definitely recommend. Also have had lunch there on a Sunday with my Dad, same great service, and friendly staff, lots of parking too. Thank you for making it a pleasant occasion.

Cleveland sands must have one of the best bright and airy dinning areas I have been to in quite awhile. It’s well laid out and very welcoming & even good for having a conversation, without being drowned out by music or other tables. Could not have picked a better place to have lunch on a overcast & damp day. Staff a very friendly and attentive and food is fantastic. Went for the beef cheeks and I have to say they were cooked to perfection, really enjoyed them. No room for desert after the cheeks, as I was full to the gills, but will aim to go back one day and enjoy their offerings there.

Just a quick thank you to the wait staff for their wonderful, caring service yesterday. We booked for my Mum’s 93rd Birthday with a table of 12. The staff were so accommodating and helpful which made for a lovely day for all of us. Thank you!

Went for lunch with my family...had share plates and steak sandwiches very generous portion sizes..but the main reason I am writing this review is to say how wonderful the service was..our server Heath was attentive and kept checking on us during our meal..asked if he could take plates before removing them (which is something I appreciate)...when I paid I was told it was his first time working his own area..he did a great job and i would come back not just for the food but for the lovely staff as well 😀
