If you like Turkish breakfast you have to visit this place! The pastries are fresh and delicious, I stopped by for breakfast and I was brought to the verge of tears with my first sip of perfectly brewed tea. Turkish radio in the background took me back in Istanbul!

I purchased some breakfast staff , they charged 4 percent credit card fee. They even charged more than credit card companies. If you cant get better deal from them why are you getting from us.

Food was underwhelming, lahmajun was heavy and chicken shish kebab was bland, whoever prepares this food, I bet they either don’t eat this food or simply just not familiar with Turkish cuisine. It’s already hard to come out and eat these days, between customers being expected to pay staffs salary via high percentage tips, with credit card service fees, hospitality charge, etc. at least have a banging food to make me want to come back again. Third time was not the charm, gave it enough chances. Luckily there are many options in the area.

Good Turkish patisserie, with good service and environment. They have many different options , the menu is rich and at least the items we have tired was good In a breakfast package, the Turkish tea per cup charge is not repesenting the real Turkish breakfast experience will be my only negative feedback , but at least the tea was tasting nice Beside that they have some Turkish sweets like baklava and some nice birthday cake options, which i did not taste but the declaration were looking nice Enjoy your food

Istanbul Borek & Kebab is a family owned Turkish restaurant located at the intersection of Anderson Ave. & Lawton Ave., in Cliffside Park. I have been their client for more than 10 years, and i have enjoyed eating to their previous smaller restaurant as much as I am enjoying now visiting their bigger, newer one. The food is always fresh and very flavored, cooked daily on the premises. The bread and pies are homemade right there, besides the food. I never miss the Istanbul Borek meat pie, no matter what else I chose from the menu. In a cold day, please try their soups - homemade and very tasty. The Adanas are amazing, and the babaganoush is unforgettable. The store offers a wide variety of homemade deserts, from the famous middle Eastern baklava with pistachios or walnuts, to American birthday cakes. For their relentless work and quality offered to the community for so many years, i would like to give credit where credit is due.

Bought $200 worth of lahmacun and baklava but they could not give me an extra bag to carry boxes. Such small thinking and quality of food deteriorated significantly…I used to like this place but probably not coming back.

The workers here will hit your car and then have their coworkers come out to try and say it was your fault and not give you their insurance. Beware of these MAJOR SCAMMERS!

This has to be a 5 star review, my family and I came for brunch today and we are so glad we did. We ordered hummus, baba ganoush, Adana kebab, chicken, and feta and spinach omelet, freshly squeezed juices and everything tasted so good and fresh. The customer service, the servers were ready to explain the menu, were very pleasant and made dining such a wonderful experience.

New to the area, had to check out one of the many Turkish restaurants in town. Food was good, rice was mushy. Desserts were just very good! The coffee was stale, unfortunately as a coffee drinker I was disappointed. The tea was OK. Might come back to check out their Turkish breakfast. Very good customer service too!

The Adana plate is amazing! The tomato onion salad that comes with it made the dish even better! The servers also very professional and helpful. Service was amazing. Thank you so much!

I will never go back again Staff, they don’t have an attitude or a face but they are not trained. I had to beg for bread 3 times I had to as for water 2 times The eggs… horrible, not in the typical little pot, over cooked. But what was worst was the “doner”. We had 3 orders of doner and it was the leftovers from the night before … refried. I wish I had a picture…my kids didn’t eat it. They just ate the rice. The service very bad, the boy totally in the lalaland. After long wait, I ask him for the main course and he realized he forgot to put it in. Extra fees if you pay credit card The music so loud you can’t hear each other. I wanted to complain to them in the spot but my husband didn’t let me. Don’t waist your time here.

So incredibly tasty! Blew me away with the kebabs, hummus, etc. The meat was juicy and tasty, service was amazing as well. I couldn't have any sweets, they have a huge selection, but I'll try them next time.

I would not come here again. The food is good, and so is the atmosphere, but service is terrible. The waiter only came to our table 3 times. (we were there for an hour or more) they also had a huge dessert bar, but the person working there gave the wrong description of the desserts we wanted. They told me one of the cakes were chocolate, but when i cut into it at home it was vanilla with some sort of cream inside. good food, bad service, ok dessert.

Food is bland and flavorless. serving size is small and expensive. They stack half of your plate up with frozen shredded vegetables. They also have the evil eye sign on every single thing… creeps me out.. considering it’s haram. When you order a cold drink they give it to you without ice…very unprofessional in many ways. The only nice thing is the decor and Turkish coffee Never coming back

Welcoming could be better. The lady behind the counter seemed like sitting at the funeral. No smile, no welcome, nothing. Food was good but next time I visit NJ, I will look for the alternatives.

When I first read the reviews I actually expected longer waiting time. But it was very quick. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food was very delicious. Service size is large for the price. I loved the place.

Wonderful ambience, food was delicious, service was excellent. Great for families or large groups due to ample seating. Recommend: hummus, falafel, Chicken Adana/Shish Combo

After paying $17 for the worst meme men in my entire life I still wanted to give them another chance and came back. I have so much to say about this place and it's owner but all I'm gonna say is STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! I just spend $85 for two wraps that were cold and tasteless with a order of lahmacun. Never bring anyone here to introduce them to Turkish food ever because use they will make fun of you... go to any place and have anything but this place.

Great food but shocked by the $200 bill for 2 adults and 2 small children. Partly our fault for pointing a dish from the picture without asking if it was good for two since it apparently was by the amount of food per plate. We ordered two. My kids shared a $20 dish and a can of sparkling water. We had turkish coffee and tea and then the side for the bread which came in a plate with 5 different flavors. We enjoyed the food but almost threw up with the $195 bill. The waitress could have told us about that dish and we probably would have gone back to try other stuff. I also gave a tip despite all that.
