Ordered my family breakfast this morning. Once the food came I went to cut up the waffle for my daughter low and behold I find this. Full on bug. I called immediately the first woman didn’t really want to help and said there was nothing they can do. So I called again after being Very frustrated. The manager Maria came to the phone who I was told wasn’t in till 11am which I found weird no manger on site til 11am. None the less she listened and understood this was not ok. She did refund me for my order. My concern is two things. The kitchen needs to be aware what’s going in and out of there kitchen. And if someone was to eat this and not realize and was allergic to Bee 🐝 this could have been a more serious issue. I’m not happy this happened at all. I thought tick tick diner was one of the best.

The food was great and fast. We had steak and eggs and kids cheese burgers and fries. Nice service. Clean restaurant. Good American diner experience.

Very disappointed in the food! Decided to try this out as it is a famous diner. Great service! Very clean, and the famous chrome exterior is so dope! Outside of that, horrible! Firdt ordered the chicken soup - came out 1 minute after i ordered it. Lukewarm, salty, and basically a can of cambells chicken soup if you ask me. I also got the "Brooklyn" omelet - dry, bland, and excessive onions. It's just bad. I felt like I was having an onion WITH egg and not an omelet. I couldn't take more than 3 bites. The hashbrowns are bland and soggy. The only thing I really dug into was the Rye toast and coffee. Didn't bother trying the desserts as I was quite disappointed. Wouldn't recommend it.

A classic US dinner. As tourists this was on our list to do. We were seated promptly. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. We ordered a few things and shared. Wish we could have ordered more. All of the food was served hot and was tasty

Food was ok just because it was near the closing time but overall it was a nice place and respectful servers. Also the interior design is really like classy but beautiful at the same time. The cheeseburger deluxe was really good.

I have been away from this diner for over 10 years. I should have kept on staying away This is not the same diner it use to be. Utensils were dirty and that was if we got them The food is at best mediocre and that is being nice. Chicken soup broth tasted like lemon in it as well as the honey mustard. The French fries were not fresh and reheated. My daughter ordered a steak medium and it came out well done. Wait staff isn’t very attentive. My bill for roast beef club $18, turkey club $17 and a sirloin steak $31 with dry mashed potatoes and broccoli. For a grand total of $96.00. Without tip, for 3 people at a diner! Won’t be coming here again! I suggest you save your money too unless you are looking for a great disappointment. One star is generous I would have given it if I could 0 stars.

The pancakes at this rock and roll themed diner were better than I anticipated. Despite the fact that I had it packed so that I could use the outdoor seating, the pancakes remained soft and were quite flavorful with not too much butter. There was plenty of parking and outdoor seats. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. Though I was most impressed by how fast they were able to service me despite the crowd of people inside.

Classic NJ diner. Service was great, good was good. And yes Waffle fries!!!! Get off the highway and make this a regular stop. Skip the chain restaurants and enjoy a classic NJ experience. I definitely like their simple menu compared to other dinners, currently found the prices competitive. Give it a try

The first time I've been here since they remodeled and covid. We had a fantastic waiter and the food was good except for the chicken soup, it was a little wonky!!! It was bland and there was absolutely no chicken in it. It was basically a bowl of pasta in broth, very little flavoring, very little onion, very little carrots and very little celery. Prices were kind of high. A side of steamed broccoli is $10!!!

We had lunch at the diner. Our waiter Joe was very friendly and pleasant. Service was excellent. I ordered a cheese burger medium rare. It was done just right. Very big hamburger! It came with coleslaw, pickle and way more fries than I could eat. Cost for lunch was about $20 per person.

All in all a good experience. The waiter served us our appetizer and entrees at the same time and flip flopped our meals. Other than that, the food was very tasty and loved the retro diner feel!

I used to visit this diner frequently when I was in high school. NJ Diners just aren’t the same anymore. Stopped in for a small late snack. Had the French onion soup ($8)! This Diner tries to be upscale but it’s not. It’s just expensive! The soup was good but the chef had a very heavy pepper hand! Definitely needs to lighten up a bit on the pepper. Service was ok. My guest had a soup and gyro and it all came out at the same time. A huge pet peeve! She would then disappear for a bit after quality check. Had to wait awhile for drink refills and with that heavy peppered hand of the chef, I really needed a drink refill! They also charge a percentage for using a credit card to pay your check. As if their prices aren’t high enough! I know a lot of places are starting to do this, and I just feel it’s ridiculous. We are doing you a favor by using a card, especially during this pandemic. Less handling of cash, no worries for needing change, no having to go to the bank, no risk of robbery, contactless and the list goes on but you charge a fee for it. Shaking My Head! Sorry, I can go to a high class restaurant and pay less for a French onion soup. They seriously need to check themselves. Other diners are much better and more reasonable. I’d pass on this one!

The food was good . They have an amazing variety of food on their menu. Their prices are high. The restrooms are clean. They have Plenty of parking and a few handicap spots as well. This place is wheelchair accessible. They do have a ramp for wheelchairs. Their staff members are friendly. I do recommend this place. They also have a huge selection of cakes and cookies for people who love baked goods. I also saw a children's menu.

Service was excellent! Our sever was so polite and accurate with our orders. The food was delicious!! We ordered the Mick Jagger sandwich with disco fries w. gravy on the side and the breakfast burger that had Taylor hand and an egg - Both were served as decent portions. Lastly, the vanilla shakes to top it off were deliciously perfect!!! I recommend breakfast here :)

I have been a customer at Tick Tock Diner for many years. With its convenient location, it has been a favorite of mine since high school. In the past few years, the diner itself has been renovated in order to accommodate more customers, a change in menu, and a pleasing experience. Since its renovation in 2019, Ive noticed an abundance of changes that has altered my experience quite honestly. Since the changes, the customer to waiter relationship has been changed. To accommodate the large number of customers at once, waiters/waitresses don't have much time to stay and chit chat, an experience that I had always enjoyed. The menu is also significantly smaller than it usually was. Customers only have one singular page, back and fourth to choose from instead of the multiple page pamphlet that was originally offered. The food itself tasted pretty average, as I could imagine the chefs don't have much time to add personal touches. The prices are also significantly higher than usual, which isn't an ideal change for a college student on a budget. However, my diner experience still earned a 4 star rating because the atmosphere was still as warm as usual. I was seated immediately upon arrival during lunch time on a Sunday. While we weren't able to establish a better conversation, the interaction with my waiter was very pleasant. He was very quick to accommodate my 5 person party.

The chrome exterior was ultra shiny. The nostalgic vibes of the well-kept booths and traditional diner furniture were impeccable (there since 1948!). The service was fast and friendly. If you have a soft spot for historic diners like me, then you'll love the relaxed atmosphere of this diner. Great for families, couples, and single folks looking for a trip down memory lane, it's a new favorite in northern NJ.

TLDR: go elsewhere. Anywhere else Came here around 6:30 and it was not busy. Best 10 people in the whole place. Sat at the bar. It took me 5 min before I got a glass of water and another 25 min before someone took my order. The person who greeted me said the waiter will be there shortly to take my order it was 30 min from the point I sat down to my order being taken. The gentlemen next to me came after and he received his food before my order was taken. So I sat to see how long it would take. Took 10 min for my food to come out. Food was okay at best. 2 egg platter. Home fries were dry and unseasoned. Eggs were way to runny for over easy. The whites were runny. Toasts were the only saving grace. Not my first time here but it is most definitely the last time. Will be recommending others to go down the road to Allwood diner

First time coming to this diner. We were greeted and seated right away. The service was great and very quick. I ordered Mac and cheese balls for an appetizer and they were still kind of cold in the middle which made them less enjoyable. I also got the BLTA (bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado sandwich.) The bacon was good and crispy and the sandwich was basic but good. My fiancé got the burger and said it was delicious and well made. The fries unfortunately seemed old and were kind of soggy. It was a very filling meal so we didn’t try dessert this time but there is a huge case of cakes and sweets to choose from!

The place is great! the service is fast and the prices are good! The food was pretty tasty. We were a group of 8 and the food came out super quick, without sacrificing the flavor. Head up, on the weekends they won’t sit you down until the whole party is there.

The menu was excellent, many of the dishes sounded delicious and enjoyable. I ordered the chorizo hash benedict and my sister got the steak and eggs but benedict style, because yes that is a 👍🏼 of a topping. Although these dishes sound rich and hearty, they were all that but super satisfying. This meal gave me a burst of energy that I honestly felt I could do anything and everything. Worked out well as this was my errand day. I wish I was able to enjoy a desert or the pancakes as their selection sounded scrumptious. The service was not the greatest but I imagine it was due to them being slammed with orders or short staffed. It definitely wasn't a deal breaker to coming here and enjoying the unique menu. NJ being one of the states with long lasting diners, this spot is unique and you should really come and try one of their benedicts or desert. I would suggest the cheesecake, so fluffy and indulgent.

Food is very good, service is amazing, Absolutely the cleanest diner I've ever been to! We moved out of NJ a few years ago to RI. Whenever we are back in NJ, I always get the "Mick Jagger," a Taylor Ham egg and cheese with disco fries. Delicious!! And try the chorizo hash!!

Food was good, service was timely, but just not the same as years ago. Miss that. Went for my birthday brunch.

Stopped here for dinner. Food was very good. I had French Onion Soup and a Cheeseburger with fries. The presentation was very nice. Service was extremely slow, even considering I was sitting very close to the entrance where there was a lot of traffic. After I got my food no one ever came back until I waved someone down for the check. That was frustrating, since I was alone and really just wanted to get on my way once I finished my meal. (More coffee would have been nice, but no one ever asked me if I wanted more).

I would say that it’s kinda of a fancy diner, they don’t have a huge menu, but they have interesting choices to pick. Good quality food, i was impressed by the portion of bowl of soup (Manhattan chowder) and it was very delicious, very clean, nice atmosphere and service. Been here several times, its always good. Due to some changes in the country, they charged now %3 if you pay with a credit card, so bring cash if you want to avoid that.

The western omelet was perfect for breakfast. My husband enjoyed the avocado toast. The hashbrowns were ok. Happy that our orders were correct and the take out packaging kept everything warm.

Went for lunch with friend, almost 2pm. Plenty of parking, place was moderately busy. Entrance was pleasant and we were seated right away. Waitress seemed pleasant. Asked about what soups they had and said I wanted a cup of the matzaball. She left to get drinks and came back and took the rest of our order. We then waited for our food, a while passed and no soup, had to ask for it. Meal came and my sweet potatoe fries were very overdone, disappointing. Sandwich I ordered was put together very sloppy...has to use knife and fork to eat it. Waitress was very slow. My friend had to ask for the coffe she ordered. Had to wait for more water, which was needed. Kind of disappointed. But will give it another try. My friends liked her waffle
