This place has really good authentic Ethiopian food! I go there pretty often and I’m never disappointed! Yes people eat with their hands! (Can’t hate the culture) Yes you can also have spoons & forks! I go there so much that I talk to the owners like family! Good service, good people, Great food.

My girlfriend and I love it here! We love to take the trip to Addis. The 30 minute drive is never too far away. The staff and service are exceptional as always and we feel so welcome. The drinks are all fresh and delicious, I'd go there if they only thing they sold was smoothies. As a chef, I love trying new foods and this place opened my eyes to a cuisine that I didn't know existed and I'm so glad I was introduced to Ethiopian cuisine. There NEEDS to be more Ethiopian places around. Will definitely go again. 10/10 :D

Addis has a cozy atmosphere and the food is delicious, especially if you like spicy! Bring your friends and come prepared to enjoy a wide array of flavors and ingredients. Also, be sure to try their coffee. It's prepared in a traditional Ethiopian style with hot milk. I can't wait for my next visit.

I haven't got take out from here in years but I did yesterday and was very disappointed with the portion size I received for 13.00$!!! I drove 17 minutes here because I love there tibs and this is what I received. Seriously???? It looks like somebody just ate half of it and gave me the left overs… if I am a respectful loyal customer then you guys need to respect your customers too!!!!!! This is very dirty of you guys to treat take out customers like this… to go orders and dine in orders should be the same portion size!!! Because when I dine it I have never received something like this it always a big portion. This happened to me before too by the way I just forgot to write a review. I will never get take out from here again…and it’s sad because you guys never did this years ago smh.

Although I wasn't very familiar with Ethiopian cuisine, I had a great time at this restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, and the price was very fair, especially considering that we ordered a platter for four people and couldn't even finish it! My friend really enjoyed the mango smoothie, but I found it a bit too sweet and heavy. The one downside was that the restaurant was very busy, and they occasionally forgot to bring our additional orders. Also, they charged us the wrong amount, so it's important to double-check your tab during checkout. However, despite these minor issues, the food was superb and definitely worth a visit for anyone in the area looking to try something new.

I’m so glad we finally tried this North Linden gem! Everything was amazing - we got a double size veggie platter which was heaped with a variety of lentils, cabbage, greens, beets and other root vegetables and some delicious sauces and salad. We will definitely be back soon - the food was full of delicious flavors! (Also, very reasonably priced.)

My husband and I lived in the middle East for many years and fell in love with Ethiopian food. When we moved to Columbus we were hoping To find local joints that rivaled the great international food we had gotten used to. So far Addis is one of the only places that’s been up there. We’ve been making a tradition every Sunday of picking up the vegetarian platter. Would recommend this restaurant any day.

I can not explain how wonderful our experience was at Addis. First the service and food was fantastic. The restaurant was busy but we were attended to and served quickly. The food was as wonderful as always, easily one of the best Ethiopian restaurants in Ohio. After the meal when we returned to the car we found a dead battery. While we waited for AAA one of the owners came out and tried to help jumpstart the car. Even after AAA arrived he stayed to make sure that we were safe and able to get home. The quality in the food obviously come from the warmth in the hearts of the people who run this fantastic restaurant.

Amazing food. I've only ever had Ethiopian food 1 other time and I didn't much like it, a little bland actually. But this place... Man it's good. You can taste every spice they put in their sauces and meats. Highly recommend for anyone who has had Ethiopian or wants to try it.

Wonderful service, the food came out quickly and was not only reasonably priced but so so delicious! It was seasoned perfectly. I’m not a coffee drinker but I highly recommend their tea! After I posted a picture of my food online, I had several friends say it looked delicious and wanted to know where we went...Will be back soon and with more people!

By far the best Ethiopian food I’ve had in Columbus so far. Addis pulls no punches with it's food and remains as authentic as possible. It is a little bit of a drive for me but I will continue to go back as it has been a great experience every single time.

This might be the best restaurant I have been to in Columbus! The food was delicious and extremely fresh. Every surface inside was spotlessly clean. And, the owner was super friendly and answered all our questions about the different foods we ordered (we had only had Ethiopian food a couple times previously and a lot of the dishes on the mixed plate we shared.) We had a great time and will definitely be back!

The best Ethiopian cuisine in Columbus. Went Friday since I haven't gone in a long time and I had a craving for it. Got a platter for 2 with chicken & beef tibs and all the fixings. There was so much food I brought the leftovers home and had enough for lunch and dinner. The chicken tibs is my favorite and so flavorful. Definitely will be back for the great food and I recommend you give it a try.

  • 5/5 Michael B. 3 years ago on Google
Great flavors, portions, and prices. Happily substituted rice for injeera, as I adore it but it contains barley and I'm gluten-free. Simple flexibility is a stellar quality in restaurants and Addis has got you. The Doro Wat is incredible, spicy, and filling.

Delicious meal, fast and friendly service, generous portions. Wouldn't mind if there were one or two more vegetarian options. It's nice to have access to Ethiopian food in Columbus. Edit: I like this place, but as far as proper mask use and social distancing, they are NOT doing it right. Come on, people, this is a life and death situation.

  • 4/5 Eli B. 3 years ago on Google
One of my favorite things about Ethiopian cuisine is how flavorful the vegetarian dishes are. The vegetarian dishes at Addis were under- seasoned compared to other Ethiopian restaurants. But the meat dishes and the injera more than made up for it. Combined with a very friendly staff and great atmosphere, this was a great stop that I'd recommend to anyone.

First time ordering from this restaurant, we got food to go. The ordering process was super easy and friendly. The food is so good! I'm impressed with the veggie selection. The Tibs aawesome of the best I've had! The meat is not chewy at all, loaded with flavor. The kitfo was fresh and perfectly made. We will be ordering again. Worth the 30 minute drive. Yummmy!

Hidden Gem! Authentic, carefully prepared and served in the traditional style. Good For eating in, or carry-out! Mmmm, good find. A little tricky location and parking, but the best I’ve had in Columbus. Worth the trip, wherever you live....
