Pop in for Sunday lunch as was told it good . We weren't disappointed had the roast beef Sunday menu . One of us had a full portion and other had half portion and thank god they did do half as that in itself was big but the full one would feed a gaint the amount on plate. Saying all that it was delicious beef just fell apart so tender spuds and veg lovely. Had dessert apple pie which we thought they had made mistake as it was huge portion thought was after getting the whole pie. We will be back with our friends next time. Well done to serving staff also very friendly and attentive.

Went for dinner last Friday and wasn’t impressed at all with the food. I understand it’s been taken over by new management and a new chef. My advice, don’t fix what’s not broken. The old menu was brilliant and so many more options especially for those who are coeliac and looking for a gluten free option which a member of our family are. Cannot fault the staff they are always very good but a shame a lot of them are leaving especially those that are there years. The gravy with the beef was way too salty and so were the chive potatoes. Also would have preferred regular mash no need for chives in potatoes. I think you need to take a look at the menu and try and include more gluten free options like the last chef did, even the chops aren’t gluten free, all this requires is frying them in seperate oil to other foods.

On Sunday decided to try out the new menu. My husband, daughter and two grandchildren with me. I’ve read reviews about the roast beef dinner so decided to try the half portion of it. It looked delicious when it arrived, although smothered in gravy. I soon realised why! I would have needed a saw that cut through the vegetables, carrot cauliflower and broccoli.the beef was absolutely tasteless. I left most of it. The chicken curry seemed to be alright, bit no where near as good as it used it used to be, there is not very much to the childrens menu, two chicken gougons and a few chips. Honestly disappointed. I wasn’t there only one, other people were complaining, some sent the food back. I definitely wouldn’t recommend it for food.

Great pub! I got the Roast Beef dinner, my girlfriend got the Turkey dinner. Lovely. The Guinness was lovely! The staff were very nice, very manorly and made sure that we had everything we needed. I'll be back, next time I'm in Dublin!

Its a nice bar. Only bad experience I've had so far was last time I was there waitress took our food order at ten past 8 and came back 20mins later to state. the chef had a busy day and doesn't want to cook. We were advised then that we could bring chipper into the pub. Just as we placed our order with Gios (local chipper) our food just arrived on our table. Chef had a change of heart and decided not to tell anybody. Extremely unprofessional. I wish I could refuse to do my job when it's busy.

Lovely food, well priced and brilliant staff, the building from the outside might put you off, but don't let it a great experience to be had inside

Had food here nice clean pub , they check your covid cert and ID, toliets spotless , staff are lovely and and very helpful , lovely atmosphere recommended

Food under new management not off to a good start. I stated this on Facebook and was blocked !!!!!!! Sad to say the old menu was fantastic ....this new one needs work Tired it again and the bangers and mash were okay but very small portion for nearly 16 euro Pricing is all wrong for a local pub DJ last Friday ...not for the demographic that comes to the lodge either. Listen to the locals management or you'll lose mega business
