😠 Very poor, little or no information about local history or industries. Very disappointing. I feel vexed for people who are tracing their heritage and go there expecting to find a mine of information. Quite frankly, the Museum is an embarrassment to Clydebank. People often mention museum, staff, history,

Appears to me like they're being set up for closure.. Staff are lovely and friendly but there seems to be an undercurrent of unhappiness throughout. What have you done West Dumbartonshire Council to result is such a dramatic change since I last visited???

Staff rude. Museum very small. No information on local industry. Only a few paintings and 3 model ships. Do NOT recommend.

Modest collection, two of the galleries were very poorly lit, making viewing pictures difficult. OK for 1/2 an hour if you are there already or if you have an interest in sewing machines.

A sign outside to inform us that the museum was closed would have been appreciated! However, enjoyed the coffee and the Singer displays.

Great place for history and art. Nice cafe. Friendly and attentive staff. Exhibitions throughout the year are varied in the museum space. The Garden Gallery provides a beautiful space for artists such as Jolomo to exhibit works. EDIT Council have ripped the heart out of the museum and got rid of all the staff. Nothing here of note anymore. Used to be great

Currently closed for renovations, although nothing externally tells you that.

Clydebank has so much history. The ship building, tenement life, the blitz, and more. The museum was interesting but slightly barren. It felt like it was more interested in the art gallery section. Saw a tiny bit on Singers, a token amount to John Brown, and not much more. It is a nice building and staff were good but not a place where you can spend much time.

Absolutely appalled with this so called museum, the one staff member was very helpful, Outside it looks very impressive, inside it's a eccentric mix of nonsense, the cafe was shut ,and a total lack of local history,My father was the only man who rewelded and fixed the mercury statue, and who also worked in John Browns,So I have to ask were are they hiding all the history of Clydebank,in the Basement probably, why is the upper level shut, there is a total lack of heart in the place ,and a Jolomo Painting, why is he a old resident of Clydebank 🤔Please get your act together, and focus on what the museum should be

I called about my boat shuttle singer sewing machine. They gave me an email address which I have mislaid.

Its a shame there isn't more than the 15 singer machines. I know the local community must have a love-hate relationship with the singer factory but it would be nice if that story was told, or even just some more machines on display. Instead 80% of the space is given over to artwork you would walk past if a charity shop was giving it away.

(Translated by Google) Cute as a museum but not exciting. Numerous non-functional interactive points. (Original) Carino come museo ma non entusiasmante. Numerosi i punti interattivi non funzionanti.
