The staff could not have been more lovely or helpful especially Michael on Reception, Denise a cleaner and Eugene in the dining room. The room was perfect with a very comfortable bed, great shower and fab view over the Clyde. Breakfast was fantastic with delicious fresh fruit, pastries and full Scottish. All facilities for my 24 hour conference were excellent and staff always at hand and helpful. We decided to stay the week as we found the hotel such good value! Brilliant location for Glasgow with its fantastic galleries, a great day out in Edinburgh and lovely walks & scenery in the Trossachs. Plus the stunning Mackintosh Hill House. All in all i would thoroughly recommend the Golden Jubilee Hotel. Thank you to all Janice & Dave

We travelled down from Aberdeen and stayed here as my husband had an early appointment at the hospital, very nice hotel, the rooms are bright, clean and very comfortable, the staff are very welcoming and very helpful. Room service is available which was great with the husband's recovery, food was lovely! We unfortunately had to extend our stay due to storm Babet causing flooding, the trains were cancelled along with buses and most main roads were closed. The hotel staff were very understanding and made our stay a comfortable one even though it was a stressful time. I would highly recommend staying here.

Stayed here whilst accompanying friend who was attending the hospital for a few days, so it was idea location for that. It's a 15/20 min drive into Glasgow centre & has close access to train station and buses. The room I had was one of the older style rooms, but it was spacious & cleaning staff were excellent. Great views over the River Clyde. Staff were friendly & helpful and the food in the restaurant was great, if a bit on the expensive side. Bar was nice. Buffet breakfast was really good, with a huge selection of cereals, fruits, jams, yogurt, pastries, and of course the full Scottish breakfast ingredients you'd expect. It pays to get their earlier on around 7.15am during the week, as the food is kept under warmers, so if you like a hot fresh cooked breakfast, then get in fast! I didn't need to ask for anything from the staff, but I know they were more than willing to help those who did need to ask for something cooked a particular way, or poached eggs. There is fresh coffee and fresh orange always available from the machines in the relaxation area, & I have to say, it was pretty good coffee, not the usual awful coffee you get from machines! Dont be put off by the fact it is attached to the hospital. You have to venture across the relaxation area & down a large corridor to access the hospital & you never see any people wandering around in gowns, or staff in nurse's uniforms, so it's not got a hospital vibe. I never used the swimming pool or gym, so can't comment on that.

Can't fault the room, the breakfast or the dinner service on the first night stay. Final night's dinner service was particularly disappointing. At 7pm we were seated around tables in a conference room (on conference seating not dining seating) around a table that was still being set by staff. The room was completely windowless and had mouldy ceiling tiles. The menu wasn't overly inspiring, but the starters were of a quality similar to previous dinner services. This is as far as anything positive can be said. Mains were a disaster even by 80s school dinner standards. The Fish & Chips option looked like it came from a supermarket budget brand freezer section and according to others around the table tasted like it and it was cold. The bacon steak option wasn't much better. The bacon was extremely salty and very fatty whilst the gravy looked (and tasted) like a cheap chicken stock cube that had been made with too much water. The pasta option was clearly reheated leftovers. Guests at the table had to ask for condiments and after a 10 minute delay we were presented with some white vinegar. The duty manager was summoned and simply did not want to know about the issues only offering to pass on feedback to the chef and provide us with one of the other school dinners. After an hour wait the plates (and most of the food were cleared from the table). Deserts were not served until almost 9:45 and we had to ask for the coffee (which we had to request cream & sugar for). Again the sticky toffee pudding looked & tasted like a bland 80s school dinner that had been allowed to go cold. Finally shortly after 10pm the cream & sugar arrived for our now cold coffee. There is no doubt that this hotel has the ability to deliver a 4 star service (as it demonstrated on the first part of our stay), but is also is far too lazy to even care about providing it consistently.

Booked for 5 nights but had to leave after 3 due to family problem. First visited ( Beardmore as it was then) 15 years ago and back few times over the years. This visit was best yet; room 315 was excellent, clean and spacious. The staff are so friendly and breakfast so tasty. Thank you for making our stay so pleasant.

Stayed here to attend a conference recently. Spotless, comfortable room but had an adjoining door to another bedroom which wasn’t soundproof so unfortunately felt like I may as well have roomed with the neighbours as had to endure their late night chatter. Room service was prompt but food of poor quality. Breakfast choices were poor in my opinion, breakfast buffet looked unappetising and was cold. Cereals and baked goods were fine. Conference food also disappointing. Could see the benefit of staying here if related to hospital attendance or another conference but not one I’d recommend unfortunately.

Room was very comfortable and well equipped. The food was also excellent and the menu was very comprehensive. All the staff were very pleased and helpful. The room was only three minutes walk from the hospital.

The staff are pleasant and professional. Their scones with jam & cream are the best I've ever had. Saturday treat, while grandkids are at swimming lessons.

Friendly efficient staff, rooms were big, well insulated from noise, clean and modern. Some great facilities, with a well equipped gym. The whole hotel is clean and well kept, we were genuinely impressed. It is about a 20-25 minute drive to the centre of Glasgow however. The most unusual aspect of the place is how it literally connected via walkways with a general hospital!! This had no impact on our stay though, other than seeing a hospital staff member out the front of the hotel having a quick vape. Room service is available, with a decent menu. Little one was disappointed that there was no disposable toiletries in the bathrooms as they like to collect them (don't ask me!) but large tubs are available. We enjoyed our stay and would certainly return. The staff really make the place

I went to the Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel for a professional event over two nights and three days. It was so luxe and I was so well looked after that I wish I could have stayed longer. I lucked out on my room -- end of corridor, so it had windows on two sides with a stunning, refreshing view of the Clyde. I enjoyed spending time in it. I appreciated the seating spaces for one in the lobby, because at a conference, I get a bit peopled-out so I value quiet spots where I won't be joined. The conference facilities were comfortable, flexible and well thought out with details like sweets and drinks. It took a bit time to get the hang of the layout and more signage might be useful. The toilet facilities were plentiful -- I rarely had to queue. The gardens are pleasant and I liked having space to stretch my legs alongside the river -- look out for cormorants. I didn't have a chance to explore the walking trail and I wish I had. The food was plentiful and seemed good quality. I enjoyed the pool just once -- very relaxing with clean facilities. The wifi was not great in my room.

Fantastic clean hotel staff could not be more helpful. Swimming pool is very warm and has windows all around. Not impressed with the menu however the chef and kitchen staff will try their best to cook something else for you if they have it. Unfortunately the wi-fi in the rooms is quite poor. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and can't highlight enough how fantastic all the staff are

Attended a conference here, great facilities and spacious rooms. Right on the banks of the Clyde and a spacious corridor leading straight into the hospital (if you are visiting for that purpose). Great staff and food. Hospitality was good.

Early appointment at hospital so very convenient to use the hotel. We just need to walk up the corridor and were at our appointment. Our room was basic, hard floor, no carpet. very comfortable bed, excellent shower. Plug stuck in sink so wouldn't drain. We had a room with connecting door so heard our neighbors even though they weren't loud but stopped me getting to sleep. Would stay again but not in a room with interconnecting doors. Staff helpful and obliging. Did see a couple of people in scrubs but not a hospital atmosphere. Good breakfast.

Worst car park facilities in the whole of Europe I attended a recent family funeral and the purvey was located in this hotel, it was a nightmare trying to get parked at the front of the hotel never mind the rear. They don't provide any zone signs where you could photo your location, I lost my car in the rear car park for 1hr 30 minutes with no help from staff in fact one lady employee said it's always like this, I would never use it again and would never recommend it for charity events which I sometimes get involved in, why can't the hotel allocate parking for parties like this especially funerals which are very stressful at the best of times the food wasn't the best either.

Really enjoyed my stay. A very well presented hotel. Attached to the hospital, which might put a few off booking here. But the standard of service is great. The room lovely and cool. Big and awesome. The leisure facilities were very nice. I am very happy I have come here and plan on coming back seeing as we only live in North Ayrshire. Lovely night away

I would have given 5 stars, but there were issues booking massage, and the Sauna was not working. I booked this hotel for the some RnR and Chillax ...using Sauna/Steam Sauna, swimming pool, jacuzzi, only to be told that the Sauna is out of order, there was no info anywhere for the out of order. Really DISAPPOINTED, I would have booked somewhere else.

A Comfortable room but showing some wear and tear. The food was average, with cold breakfast items, which were also overcooked. Croissants were stale. Soup at lunch was just warm but stone cold well before half eaten!. Complaint to server didn't seem to register. Dinner was good and from there, things perked up. Avoided the poor breakfast items on day two. Sandwiches for lunch were very good. Another good evening meal on recommendation of bar staff who looked after me very well. Breakfast on day three was OK. Staff were generally helpful. Regrettably, I wouldn't stay there again by choice.

The Golden Jubilee Conference Centre is a great place to hold a conference or event. It is located in a central location in Clydebank, making it easy to get to for guests. The centre has a variety of rooms to choose from, all of which are well-equipped and comfortable. The staff at the centre are friendly and helpful, and they are always willing to go the extra mile to make sure that your event is a success. Parking can be limited

It was the hospital that we attended. Pre-operative appointment for my wife's hip surgery. Friendly, reassuring, efficient, informed and informative staff. Well run, clean hospital and my wife shouldn't have to wait too long for her op. Well done NHS Scotland.

Second one night stay in recent weeks, both ahead of hospital appointments next day. This is such a relaxing arrangement which helps lower anxiety levels on appointment day. Staff were excellent. Rooms are spacious and in very good condition. Food in dining hall was very good, warm and tasty. 20% discount on meals and room rate if a hospital patient. Further hospital visits in the pipeline so will certainly book room again.

Just popped in for an evening meal. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good selection on menu. Meal well presented and very tasty. Lovely outlook, saw a couple of ships moving leisurely down the Clyde. Thoroughly recommend. Will be back soon.

Nice clean large double room in this modern attractive hotel attached to the hospital. Service was great and the location on the banks of the Clyde is beautiful. Car parking can be difficult as at peak times (between 8 and 5) there are not enough spaces for those working at and visiting the hospital and guests at the hotel. Breakfast was really good but the "all day" menu is limited and unimaginative plus the standard of the food is only acceptable.

From checking in at reception to checking out everything was flawless. The room was modern and to a high standard. We ate in the restaurant and the meal was amazing. The price was amazing to. At breakfast you had the usual choices however the standard of the food was fantastic. Staff from start to finish were brilliant. Would highly recommend this hotel

We came for my niece's 12th birthday. On arrival we got parked easily very near the entrance, Liam on reception was lovely, friendly and very chatty. Room was easy to find the hotel is spotless with plenty seating area and very relaxed atmosphere. A gift bag and card were left for my niece which was a lovely touch and she was delighted, we also had amazing views from our room over the Clyde. We used the leisure facilities the staff were lovely and a very relaxed area we spent 3 hours here. The food was excellent and presented amazingly again the staff were super friendly and nothing was a bother. There is a huge variety for breakfast and gluten and dairy free options, everything we had was delicious. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Only visited for a swim but definitely wont be returning. There was mould on the ceilings of the changing rooms, more than half of the lockers were 'out of order', the stagnant water lying about was enough to give you the boak filled with hairs etc. Pool is small, only room for 3 people to do lengths, and I found countless dead bugs floating about in it. Definitely not my idea of a Hotel Swimming Pool.

This was the perfect location for our trip. The hotel bar has nice private booths affording chat with relative privacy. Lovely swim before breakfast.

It was a very huge and outdated place. Old furniture and carpet. Service wasn't for a four star hotel. Always the room was serviced after 2 pm. The degree of cleaning depended on the person on duty that day. We noticed when the women cleaned everything was done, but when the men cleaned, only the bed was made and fresh towels. The restaurant was expensive and the food was not cooked properly 😒. A positive note is for the front desk and the employees that served breakfast. It seems as if they do not have their full attention on day to day running of the hotel.

Great hotel and all the staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for you! We had a slight problem on arrival, we headed straight to the leisure facilities only to find that the sauna wasn't working. Unfortunately, this was the main reason we booked the golden jubilee as we purposely booked here for the sauna, pool and Jacuzzi, so my husband, who loves a sauna, was really disappointed, but the staff did offer us something to make up for it. Luckily for Me, I was only really wanting to use the pool and Jacuzzi so I wasn't too bothered. The pool was lovely as was the Jacuzzi and spa facilities were really clean. We had a king room overlooking the river Clyde and the views were spectacular, as was the room as it was spotless and looked like it had been very recently renovated/decorated, it was also so big and spacious! The food we ordered to the room on the first night for our evening meal was delicious, as was the breakfast both morning. We stayed here as we were attending a concert in Glasgow city centre on the second night and the staff were really helpful in booking us a taxi to the event. Would highly recommend the Golden Jubilee Hotel. Would love to return in the near future!

Using public transport isn't ideal for the location of the hotel - seeing how busy the car park is then parking may also have been an issue. Staff were very polite and helpful, room was lovely, public areas varied in style and made for a pleasant atmosphere. The food (breakfast and lunch) was very good with good service.

  • 5/5 Dawn P. 1 year ago on Google
We have just returned from a four day stay at the golden jubilee i would like to thank the staff were so friendly and helpful, the food was delicious, the room was beautiful comfortable and very clean, the hotel was spotlessly clean throughout. Just one negative we had room 202 which ovelooked the car park, loading bay and the bin bay not a beautiful veiw of the river, at 0700 am it was a bit busy with reversing delivery drivers! We were up early each morning so the noise did not disturb us but someone wishing for a bit of quite this is not the room for you!

We got married here. Lovely space. Staff were so helpful. We stayed the night of and before the wedding. The rooms are stunning. So modern. Clean and tidy. Room service was quick and great. The Waterhouse room we got married in is so light and spacious leads to the gardens. Gorgeous views. The bar area is really spacious and good are for money. So grateful for that day. Was beautiful.
