Beautiful park with great trails and scenic views. Only had time for the overlook trail which is the shortest but still provides great views and can be done by beginners although it is quite steep. If you have the time and energy definitely continue on to other trails (you'll see a map at the top of Overlook trail) lf you do continue onward you will come across a lake which I imagine would be quite worth the effort. Definitely recommend this place a visit!

The park itself is a lush and quiet break from the insanity of life, the Soviet-like rules are cumbersome and ridiculous. A 5 year old in our group had brought his bike and was on a paved area with no cars when an employee of the park came down and informed the family “there are NO bikes allowed in the park.” Later when our group finally met up, another employee watched while we unloaded our coolers and set up our picnic in the lovely gazebo and had all sat down to enjoy our plates of yummy food, and then she picked that exact moment to inform us we (being a group of more than 10 without a permit) would have to vacate the pavilion…. We moved and were soon the ONLY people in that area of the park- but don’t worry the pavilion was empty. Unbelievable!!!!! Fortunately we had a fun crew….

Nice playground equipment, picnic pavilions for small to medium events, hiking trails, nature center that is open year round. Attended several 4th of July celebrations at the amphitheater with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. Hopefully this coming 4th, the concerts will resume. Moderately challenging hiking trails offering nice views of Hunt Valley from the top of old ski slope. The park is one of the top places I go to during fall. Peak fall foliage is very nice during mid to late October.

I love this park. Lots of woods and a decent amount of wildlife. That said, I'm a little sad about the new trail they put in cutting through the deepest part of the woods. What used to be a nice spot to quietly hike off trail to watch the wildlife had turned into every suburban dog mommy and their "trained" dog running off-leash right through the woods. It's not the park's fault there are bad dog owners, but it does take away from the peace and quiet, and I'm sure more wildlife is getting maimed.

Great Park with multiple trails and a nature center with rescued animals in outside enclosed cages for viewing. Only ding would be the poorly marked trails. It is hard to navigate by map with so many trail intersections without signage.

Such a beautiful trail with friendly helpful hikers! Ask anyone for help (directions), and they're more than willing. There were a lot of people so you'll never feel lonely at any given time. There were young and old hikers. The tree markings were also easy to follow. There are beautiful mural tree paintings as well. Definitely go check them out If you spot them. If you start the trail (red) be sure to take the blue trail back if you want an easy hike down! Definitely worth a visit. Don't forget to check out the nature center :).

Absolutely one of our favorite parks in Baltimore County! The trails are great for the whole family. Their nature center has so many cool animals and is extremely educational. We come here often for easy picnics, as they have plenty of tables. They also have lots of events in the spring, summer, and fall.

Came here with The Missus (bless 'er) twice to do some outdoor cooking (hot dogs, clams, etc.), and both times was a distinct pleasure. Large covered areas with long tables and plenty of permanent grill make for comfortable eating. The grounds are well kept and the greenery is very easy on the eyes- especially when they get too used to cityscapes. On our last visit we even did a spot of bird watching, as I had never seen an East Coast Blue Bird before. Lovely. An excellent and convenient get-away spot. (Evidently this was a go-to location as a bunny hill ski slope location- right down to the faux apres ski lodge. Must have been something in the day!)

This is a great place to bring the whole family especially anybody who is into nature and animals and beautiful hiking spots. They have some really cool trails near the nature center and the summer series where they have fun family nights in the outdoor amphitheater is great. We went to one on the myth of the Mothman of West Virginia. The staff made it fun for the family and the inside of the nature center had tons of preserved animals for kids to look at and learn about.

Beautiful clean park with a bunch of trails. They are very long and can take a very long time depending on your skill level. I love how varied the terrain is and the little lake at the opposite end of the park is beautiful. It’s one of my favs on my rotation.

This is a smaller park but definitely worth a visit! Free to enter, plenty of parking, and rarely busy. Hikes are shorter but still have nice views. Plenty of picnic areas available.

Oregon Ridge Park is a treasure. Awesome well-maintained trails that go way back into the park and cross streams, vary from short walks to several-mile long hikes, and a nice nature center and learning area with ducks, turkeys, a garden, etc. So few people are ever on the trails. It is quiet and peacful going for an early morning and evening hike. The only criticism is that I don't appreciate the painted trees and hope they never allow anything like that again. The park is conveniently located right off I-83 and just down the street from Wegmans, etc.

I got about 5 miles of hiking up, down, in and around gorgeous trees, streams, and a small pretty lake. Two of the stream crossings required creative hopscotching that might be too much for the very young or old to make without falling in (though the water wasn’t dangerously deep.) Trails could be marked better.

Took the family for a quick hike and to see the nature center. The kids (2 and 4) had a blast running around and looking at all the cool stuff in the nature center. Everyone was doing a good job with the social distancing too. And, we saw this guy hanging out in the frog pen...

This is an awesome place to get outside for a while and enjoy nature. There are multiple trails to try out, none of which are very long so you could try them all in a few hours. They have an awesome, and free, nature center that is full of exhibits and animals to check out! They also have a playground, covered pavilion and plenty of free parking. Definitely check this park out if you are looking for some fresh air on a nice day.

There are trails, small lake, several playgrounds, nature center, picnic, and etc. Kids can ride sleighs or run around in the large area of lawn.

Beautiful and well maintained walking trails for a variety of activity levels. Also nice covered areas for picnics and gatherings as well as play areas for kids. Dog friendly, but definitely keep them leashed or you will be ticketed.

Oregon Ridge is a beautiful park to visit for pictures, bird watching, quiet walks, walking the miles of trails. It's also a great place to just take the family to check out the visitors center, go swimming and play in the playground areas. Everyone can learn about the history of the Ridge and the local area and how its contributions helped build or state and country.

Oregon Ridge is a great place but they do not accommodate family's that have younger children. Which is ashame. Most families can not have younger siblings watched by someone else to do that. I feel if the smaller kids are not hurting anything while the classes are going on it should not be a problem. All of the other nature programs have never told us that younger siblings could not come.

Oregon Ridge is a great park, and the Nature Center is a nice educational area that informs you of animals in the area as well as history of the park itself. They host events for adults and families, like bird watching hikes or canoe trips on the lake, and seasonal activities like maple syrup tapping and cider pressing. We're members and go to as many of these events as we can.

We love to stop in to the Nature Center whenever we're hiking at Oregon Ridge. Lots of creatures & lots of displays. Definitely stop in when you at the park.

Started to show signs of neglect throughout the park and Nature Center. Many areas have weeds taken over plants, noone seems to be watering vegetables planted.

We've been here several times. On one side of the park you'll find ruins from the iron Mill workers' homes and the mill itself. On the other side there's a nature center (an indoor area with a lot of taxidermied animals, skulls, everyday household items found around the grounds from the 1800s, as well as live fish, turtles, birds), outdoors you'll see turkeys, chickens, geese, a hawk, and an owl in enclosures. If you go, be sure you check out the Forest of Hope with the brightly painted trees. It's beautiful and relaxing. There's also a natural playground for kids (logs, garden, etc.) There are family friendly trails and longer trails for people who like to hike 3 plus miles. Best of all is free!
