I've always seen this place, we live close by so we finally decided to try it today. I bet the kids feel like it's magic. The operators are dressed up like real conductors and the route is scenic. $1.50 / ride. We even bought a train souvenir. They had ice cream also. They operate on donations and everyone volunteers their time.

Lots of fun for the kids, can be a long wait but worth it. Short ride

The Tradewinds and Atlantic Railroad is a ride on miniature train system with typically two engines that runs a 5 minute look around a small lake within the Tradewinds Park. It typically only runs for a few days a month when not raining and is staffed by a mostly retired crew of railroad enthusiasts. Great for the kids and is only $1.50 a round trip ride ticket. Lots of parking inside the park and gifts are available. Of course, railroad themed.

A wonderful place to come and take a ride on a train. Usually on the 3rd weekend of the month.

Fun little adventure to do with kids. Park in the grass best the train station. Make sure you buy tickets for $1.50 first. Children need to be able to walk on their own. The ride lasts a few minutes and is entertaining. There is a spider tunnel, a bridge, and keep an eye out for Bigfoot.

Open for public rides the 3rd full weekend every month. And a couple of special park events spring and fall. Fun for all ages at $1.50 a ride.

Arrived 1/22/23 at 3:10, waited 20 minutes in line to be told at 3:30 by the guard that collects the entry fee that gates are closed when event ends at 4:00. Poorly managed and will not be coming back to visit. We explained that we had tickets to the ride already but the person was not accommodating at all. There were at least 30 cars behind us in line that were going to be told the same thing. EDIT: The problem was caused by Park officials and my wife has been several times and the kids love the place. The response from the owner was prompt and helpful so I edited my initial 1 star review.

I would give this place a 5 stars if it wasn’t for the unpleasant lady that is in charge of the entry for the train , she was extremely aggressive and rude , this person shouldn’t be working around kids and families or having any contact with customers at all. Hope she gets a raise maybe she’ll be happier. I’m editing this review just to respond to the owner and let him/her know that know one ever said that my infant can’t ride . As a matter fact they did let her ride . The only smart and repetitive thing she has to say is that everyone pays because that’s how you make the living , so i really doubt she is not getting paid . And if that’s the case that’s really non of my business since I went there to have a family time .

Every third weekend of the month can take the kids to ride the train, they also have a small animal farm, nice park and horse riding.

Only one a month, look at the schedule, a mini train for kids and parents. Ticket is $2 per ride, cash or card, no need to buy in advance. From 10 to 4 pm. We came at 10-30 am and line was already big. A lot of parking and picnic spaces. One food tuck with ice cream so better to bring your own food for kids. After a ride you can see horses.

Wonderful time! We are visitors from Fort Myers, FL, we have been to the trains multiple times over the years. Great experience, wholesome family fun! Highly recommend!

Visited with 3 kids, kids loved the mini train ride. We were happy as train rides happen every 3rd weekends of the month. Each ride is 1.5 USD and worth it!

We had a great time at the Atlantic Railroads. It’s a great place to take your kids and a nice spot for picnic and watch the trains go by. The staff are all volunteers and were kind and very accommodating.

Great place to take our 4 year old grandson. Tickets are only $ 1.50. We buy him as small toy and 2 rides for less than $20 ...

It was not what we had expected. It was pleasant but you don't sit in "cars". You sit one behind the other on board type seating. (Good thing the kids sat still!) Someone with long legs would be very uncomfortable.

Was looking forward to visit this place but unfortunately with just the first phone call as my first interaction/impression with them doesn’t seem like a place I would visit or recommend. A man answer the phone and was very condescending when asked if they have rides for today. You know if you’re frustrated with being asked questions maybe you just should a day off.

The railroad was excellent! Tradewinds park on the north side looks like no upkeep has been done in years. The country store not open, the petting zoo not open, the horses not out, the playground not changed in 20 years. The fields for animals empty. And they charge $1.50 per person for this. That is ridiculous. Again, the railroad is worth it, and they charge $1.50 per ride for their upkeep, and it's worth it
