Hilton is located at a prime location. Love that there's a pharmacy and Coles a few steps away. Close to restaurants, main mall strip and short walks to the esplanade and the waterfront precinct. Breakfast offered is pretty good. Unfortunately this visit was during peak season and the hotel was at full capacity meaning prices were high and the staff were overwhelmed. All the staff did their best. Queues to check in, check out, breakfast etc, so you just have to allow extra time. The executive lounge is pretty awesome. Pre dinner drinks and canapes offered between 5-7pm. Service is top notch. Gym is a better hotel gym I've been to. Can't go pass the Hilton if a convenient location is paramount for you.

I have been staying at this hotel for years Markus and his team are sensational . Always greeted with a smile and nothing is ever a problem for his team. The difference with this hotel is staff seem to really enjoy working at the Hilton Darwin - Mitchell Street. You couldn’t find better reception & restaurant staff. They genuinely care about their guests. They have recently made some upgrades and the place is looking great . New furniture around the pool. :) Executive Lounge evening drinks and canapés have turned from good to fantastic. Rotation and exciting new food options is really appreciated by people staying more than one or two days. A wonderful, relaxing place to stay .

Had a great stay at the Hilton Darwin. Great service and location. Rooms are nice and clean. Pool and gym are great. The restaurant is awesome and won awards recently. The bar is nice to have a drink and room service was quick and delish. They let us check in early like 10am and check out late. They also offer umbrella’s if it’s raining. Very friendly service!

Good. Rooms clean, service good, air conditioning is a great welcome. I've stayed here numerous times over the years and recently experienced no to intermittent hot water on several occasions now.

The hotel is in the convenient location to access all the facilities many of them in walking distance. The staff at all level very professional and helpful, they always smile and try to do the best for you. Pepper Berry restaurant is another best service you get. One word awesome stay with good service and buffet breakfast. We will look forward to stay again.

A well located high end hotel. It is a short walk form the restaurants and shopping centres, as well as a comfortable walk or short cab to attractions and the popular waterfront precinct. Like many top end businesses, the Hilton is "made" by it's staff. Housekeeping checked in with us regularly because we didn't ask for room servicing while we were there. They literally asked us if we were really OK, as they were used to people wanting cleaning every day. Rosie and all the team down in Pepperberry's are all stars. They make awesome coffee, smile and chat, making us feel warmed, welcomed, and valued. Check in staff were flawless. They never needed to trouble shoot any problems because there weren't any. Marketing is doing well as we got timely, well priced options for upgrades and services like harbour views and free drinks. We'll back.

5 stars for Jessica the bartender. She is amazing and a very positive person matching with the atmosphere of the palm court bar. I haven’t been to this bar for a while and now I m visiting it once a week.

The staff were excellent. Restaurant excellent as well. The facilities were enjoyed by my wife. The hotel is cashless. Therefore card use was mandatory. A 1.5% surcharge on both credit and debit cards is unbelievable. The room cost was very high and then a surcharge on top. The surcharge was advised on checkout only. Therefore could not recommend at all. I wonder whether a business of this turnover would actually be charged 1.5% on both credit and debit cards. I also wonder whether this is legal

Reception area impressive, but room, particularly bathroom, well below what I would expect. Bath towels (2 initially but down to 1 after 3 days) so threadbare and frayed I put my finger through. Not changed when we left them in shower (usual indicator that a change is required), simply hung up again on rack. Service in Pepperberry restaurant desperately slow. Had been there 1hr 20 mins for 1 course and drink. Asked if we could order dessert, told that there would be a further wait of at least 20 minutes as there was a large party to be served (who arrived after us). We did not wait.

Great hotel in an excellent location. Had nice meals and the breakfast choices were excellent. Lovely pool perfect for cooling off in.

The suite we were allocated was definitely not 5 star, maybe down market motel , at best....the towels were threadbare and the furniture was banged up , scratched and old and the whole suite was very ,very tired. The movies on demand did not work and no one really seemed to care , including the supplier. After kicking up a hell of a fuss we were upgraded to their premier suite...it was half re furbished and the half that was not , including the entrance door to the suite was scratched , banged up and very very tired. as well ( The views of the bay were wonderful...credit where credit is due) The bathroom had been upgraded but very little thought had been placed on where to hang towels , gowns etc...half a job....the decor of the rooms left really much to be desired...no water, no turndown no welcome note ,nothing?? Like I said down market motel stakes. The service in general was poor and not really friendly, barring a few exceptions that shone. like Dee from the executive lounge and Zoe that lent me her DVD collection due to the hotels inability to sort its movies out with its supplier and as said...no problem other than for guests who like to watch movies. All in all what a dismal stay....barring the executive lounge which was nice ( a 3 out of 5) the rest of the hotel ( Barring the reception area, restaurant and bar) was dismal and I would strongly advocate that prospective clients seek alternative accomodation. There is no way , not even with the wildest of imaginations that this is a 5 star hotel , it is a disgrace and the Hilton group should drop kick it out of their stable before it does too much reputational damage to a mid range hotel group

All good. Fire alarm sounded for 20 minutes at Dinner, before it got turned off. We did order well done steaks...which were great.

Absolutely shocking service and arrogant customer service. Being a Diamond member for 7yrs we came here passing through the NT on honeymoon and received a congratulatory note with nothing else. Stayed at the Doubletree the night before and got a suite upgrade and a bottle of wine to congratulate us. This hotel believes an upgrade to a sea view room is special, clearly no appreciation for how many Hilton hotels would do this as standard for a diamond member. Don’t bother staying here, rather stay at the Doubletree who will treat you better, or even the Mindil Casino Resort. Small pool area very dated. Probably the worst pool you could have in Darwin compared with other hotels.

Lost my wallet before I arrived and the staff was extremely helpful. They gave me all the time I needed to use their Wifi and find my card info. I was in the Lobby for 11 hours and they constantly checked on me making sure I got all the help I needed, they gave me water, bathroom card and even aided me in looking up contacts that could help. I will recommend this place just based on the outstanding staff members that work there.

Even though it is an old building, it's a nice hotel located in the heart of Darwin CBD. The staff are friendly and polite and always treated me nicely. You have the option of parking your car in the street or let staff park your vehicle in their carpark at a cost ($35 per night in 2022). The rooms are spacious enough and getting looked after every day. All in all, if price is not an issue for you, indulge yourself with luxury hotel.

Location: I love the location which is in the centre of the city. It is very close to many bars, restaurants, supermarket, & some attractions. Rooms: The room maybe outdated but it is still maintained. I love the bed ‘cause it is very comfortable. I also like the amenities. Facilities: I love the gym. It is clean and comfortable. Not too big but it’s got equipments we need. The hotel also has an outdoor pool Restaurant: We had our breakfast in the restaurant in the lobby and it was great. The service was amazing. The foods were also great! I like the varieties of the foods and the taste of them. The ambience is also cozy. We definitely had an amazing stay at Hilton Darwin!

This is only my second visit to this property. The breakfast is delicious, the service is good, and as a Diamond member, the Hilton Lounge was wonderful, overlooking the gorgeous multi-colored turquoise sea for Happy hour. Manager Oswaldo was so accommodating when we checked in and has super product knowledge about Darwin and Hilton properties in general. We had a marvelous conversation about the Hilton resort in Okinawa. Also, I would like to commend supervisor Todd at the Hilton Doubletree 3 blocks up the road. What a welcoming, open spirited supervisor for weary travelers! I was only asking for directions, and Todd was accommodating as an old friend! Please note both their names for being outstanding employees! I should know because I worked at hotel reception for 9 years in America.

We spent nine nights at this wonderful hotel in Darwin on Mitchell Street. The location is unbeatable in the heart of drywall and you can walk to Shops, restaurants, and activities. We were in an executive room on the 19th floor. We utilized the gymnasium and the fabulous outdoor pool. The food at the restaurant was wonderful. Enjoyed a hot breakfast every morning. The staff were extremely friendly, especially Oswaldo at the front desk and Robin the hostess in the executive lounge. They were kind and generous with sharing their knowledge of Darwin sites to visit and helping us with valet parking about rental car each day. We will definitely stay here again. Highly recommend.

I have stayed here twice - the rooms are very clean but oh so dated. But there is no choice in Darwin for anything any better.. The rooms are like going back to the 1990's... And after being served in the restaurant that they think is so good, never again.

Terrible experience! I got get the hype around this hotel.......... the service is completely incompetent. Rooms are so ridiculously overpriced, def do your research and find a better option.

Stayed the one night. Due to Covid had to order room service. Total disaster. Used the QR reader as they requested. Meal arrived 45 minutes later than we ordered. Asked for main to come 20 minutes after entree but all arrived together. No apologies.

Great place to stay. The staff are very friendly. The room we had was amazing. But the window don’t open. We face onto Mitchell st and had great water views. Pub over the road . Good cold beer .The breakfast was so good. The takeaway away coffee is great to.

The hotel is fine--nothing special but not bad, either. The restaurant was good, as was the coffee stand and the bar. The staff was rather incompetent--incorrectly billing me (and not knowing how to charge my card), not being available for check-in (I sincerely think the guy was sleeping somewhere), and assigning me a room that hadn't been cleaned. In fact, it took me three trips to a room and back to the lobby before I got something acceptable.

Thanks so much Darwin Hilton team. I had a wonderful stay at your hotel and I only have one very small problem to raise. The room service menu needs improvement - especially for vegetarians The location, rooms, breakfast and team members are amazing I will certainly stay again

Nice-looking foyer and restaurant. Carpet in hallways to rooms is 1970s-hideous brown/cream/psychedelic. Mould smell on the floor we were on (17th). Breakfast trays left in hallway for 20 hours. Discarded food and empty glassware left by the pool from lunchtime one day - still there when we checked out the following day. Depth signage for the pool wildly inaccurate. Hotel took the usual $100 card imprint, which is fine, then took another pending on our meal that night and charged me in full the next day (not knowing they had already slugged my card twice). Apparently I'll get that second lot back in 3 to 5 days. Dinner service in restaurant was mixed: some good staff, some not too bright, including handing me the gluten-filled dish while saying "this is the gluten-free one for you". Lucky I know to check!! Breakfast was cold! The restaurant opened at 7.00 and we were in there by 7.20, so it's not like it had been there for hours or anything. The bacon, hash browns and sausages were cold. My partner got a fresh omelette, which was nicely done. No matter how I try I cannot fathom how this hotel maintains 5 Star rating. We stopped going there four years ago after monumental eff-ups and poor service. The Tourism Voucher scheme lured us back to give it another go. There are a number of 3.5 and 4 Star places in Darwin which will benefit from our custom in the future.

First off Robin in the executive lounge made me feel so welcome she went out of her way each and every time like I was the only one In the room nothing was a drama and she went out of her way to make my stay fantastic Jack in the bar was the same being on my own not only did he make me feel welcome and at home he made me some of the best off the menu cocktails I’ve ever had ! (Seriously let him treat u with a cocktail) all the staff where Amazing but they stood out as the best. The guy at the front desk always waved and has a big smile (I don’t know his name ) even with a mask on he felt so warm and inviting. I highly recommend you take a few nights here

One of the best stays we've had in Darwin city. Great service, nice rooms and a good buffet breakfast. We had lots of fun in the pool but it does need a good clean. Great central location and walkable to most places you'd like to go to while staying in the city.

Clean, comfortable and well appointed rooms. Very good facilities - gym and pool. Breakfast at Pepperberry is a delight. Plenty to choose from. You can squeeze your own vegetable juice. Ladies at Pepperberry check-in are most welcoming and friendly. The hotel is centrally located and within easy walking distance of the waterfront and Bicentennial Park. The newly refurbished bar is a great little place to enjoy a drink and pre-dinner snacks.

Lovely hotel, the rooms were great and staff without exception, were fabulous. They couldn't be more helpful. Great breakfast with loads of choices, hot and cold. Small issue with bathroom - needs some TLC. Thank you for a great stay

We had several nights stay here and were happy with the overall experience. A well appointed and comfortable room with good facilities and service. For the most part, staff were friendly and courteous and the hotel is well located within the city for easy access to most other services and facilities.

Arrived at the Hilton off The Ghan on Tuesday , did a RAT test on Wednesday morning, unfortunately I was Positive, great ! So I decided to isolate myself, because I didn’t want to infect my wife, so booked another room for my Wife, and the other Couple we were travelling with have pre-existing issues. We informed the Hotel of me isolating. So spent the next 3.5 days in the room, did NOT receive 1 phone call from any of the Hotel Management or staff to enquire about my health, wellbeing, anything I required, etc, etc, extremely poor customer service and guest care, even though we were paying for 2 rooms, a disgrace !!

This could well be a 5 star experience, but i think there is Definitely a bit of lack of communications. Knowing pepperberry restaurant is a award winning dining place. So we asked the reception upon check in if we need to book a table for dinner that night, we were told we do not need to, so we came down for dinner around 7pm only being told we need a booking and next table will be 8:30 pm. Being on holiday, that's not some thing you want to hear and being a well established bussiness, my expectation was high but this bussiness certainly didn't deliver. So we booked dinner for the night after, i have to say the food is outstanding, and services is excellent too.

Great place to stay. We arrived 3 AM and all went well. They stored our luggage for 2 days until we returned prior to catching the Gahan for Adelaide

Good location. Friendly staff. On arrival, had to wait an hour for a room,( had to ask a reception, again, after the hour, about room availability, which then was shown to a room) after a 4.5 hour flight. Offered a drink voucher, which didn't eventuate. Bed pillows, we're to soft and full of mite dust, probably past the useby, and bed head covered in dust, bathroom fan didn't function and air conditioning sounded like a jet landing, all night and mould on door cupboardfront of fridge, not to pick, but seriously, time for a reno

Really bad experience at this hotel. We expected a lot from Hilton as it was “5 star Hotel” and friend’s recommended it. My parents celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary this year. 25 years of marriage is a milestone for them, even for us their kids. Arranging things with their staff was already a pain, my dad is the one who always updates them on email and remind them what they miss and didn’t include on the email. On the day of the event, as the guest started coming, a lot of them went to me and asking about why the aircon is not working. No one from their end inform us that aircon is not working on that night. They didn’t do anything until I complained and start to look for a manager. The aircon problem was already known by staff hours before our event. But no one even bother to contact us and inform us about this problem. Powerpoint screens was not ready till I asked for someone. 1 person is serving ( changing the tray in the buffet at the same time at the tables), we had 100 guests, I really feel bad for the attendant. The aircon was fixed around 9:30pm, which is halfway the event. They only put one big fan was inside the function hall. A lot more to complain about but this is the most disappointing one. Until now they haven’t replied back to my email. Maybe leaving a review will remind Hilton management to reply to my email. I’m really disappointed for the inconvenience to my parents and to our guest. I will never recommend Hilton to any of my friends. As I don’t want them to have the same experience that we had. Very poor communication from their end.

Can’t believe you still get surcharged if paying with credit card! In 2022! Ordered 2 drinks at the bar in the lobby ($10 + $13 with total charged $23.23.

Arrival today and We arrived late, tired and wet and unfortunately, as a Hilton honors member, I am terribly disappointed. This hotel is dated. The room desk has water marks that warped the wood and the sheets are horrible! Little bead rolls on the fitted sheet. Old used sheets that need to be replaced. Feels creepy on your skin. No USB ports in the room. The bathroom door doesn't close. Staying 2 nights but I hope to change this room in the morning for sure.

Location was excellent for my meetings and proximity to Waterfront for dinner and drinks. Staff were exceptional. Darwin Hilton, maybe have cheaper on premise parking, otherwise, very impressed and I will stay there again and recommend unreservedly to friends and family

Good central location, close enough to have dinner down at the Darwin waterfront every night. Would avoid paying for the buffet breakfast, it was average. Better off going out for breakfast.
