Incredibly noisy Stayed here for 3 nights with my partner. We weren’t expecting anything flashy as it is a backpacker accommodation. Unfortunately, I had the worst experience of incredibly noisy and inconsiderate other guests. I repeatedly asked them to quiet down their conversation and movements but they even became louder. Some continued shouting and singing while playing loud music. At 1am someone was cooking. At 2-3 am someone was using the laundry. Around 5 am, people are already getting ready. Our room was 105- right opposite our door were the common bathroom, on our side was the common laundry, on our back was the communal kitchen and on the other side was the swimming pool. On top of that, the room is near the main back entrance and main corridor. Too much noise everywhere. I was sleepless and more tired than we we arrived.

If you enjoy fishy odours and noise when you're trying to sleep, this is a great choice. The beds weren't comfortable, but it was better than sleeping on the floor. Proximity to shops and beach was good, but proximity to the fishy smell was bad. Did I mention the fishy stench? To be honest, I didn't expect much because it is cheap accommodation. I can assure everyone that my expectations were met. So, if you don't have high hopes and you don't want to sleep on the bus or in your car, I guess I can recommend this place. Just remember to pack earplugs and Vicks, oh and a toilet brush for any skid marks because the owners are having none of that.

Hygiene was very questionable, you expect a hostel to be plain but normally they are quite clean. Showers were chuckworthy, not sure if anyone even cleans the place.

Had a good time here, facilities were clean and staff were very friendly! Plenty to see within walking distance and a few good surf spots. I didn't encounter any of the issues in the other reviews, they must have gotten their act together.

It wasn't the best. Let's be honest. My expectations were not high to start with but I was still caught by surprise at some of the issues with this accommodation. You will have to work very hard to feel comfortable and try and not overthink the smells, surfaces or fellow backpackers. However the water was hot and shower pressure was decent. The doors locked. Like I said... Low expectations.

Excellent value clean hostel with a pool and good kitchen facilities. Staff are very nice. Was quite apprehensive cause of the bad reviews but there was no bad smell and the place was clean.

It's not Brett and Michelle job to clean the toilet. The numerous signs around the place make that very clear. It's also evident it not their job to clean the showers, vacuum or deal with the overwhelming stench of fish that hits you as you walk in. This type of accommodation is usually basic but clean. I'm left wondering if I got something nasty form the sheets or the shower.
