Comprehensive menu.. Good service. Great view of the huge banyan tree at the opposite side property when we opt for the first floor sit out area.. As for the food, wonder whether the names actually match the dishes that arrive on plate. For example fish tempura came as a baked dish, more Italian than Japanese. And for roasted lamb rack.. wish there was more meat on the bone and the gravy had more zest to it. Chicken, prawn and prawn tikkas were succulent and we'll made.

The food was extremely good. Enjoyed every ounce of it. This restaurant is not suggested if you are looking for a budget friendly restaurant. Overall: 8/10

Overrated for what the place offers. It's a confused restaurant menu. There's European, Italian, Chinese and platter. The service was decent but takes a lot of time. Food ordered: Mixed meat platter - it was supposed to have chicken and mutton instead there was exactly 2 pieces of mutton and decent portion of chicken for what was around 700 rupees i think. Literally a kilo of mutton is 800 and you get 2 pieces. Grilled fish (Bass) - the puree of some kind was not to my palette. Grilled chicken breast - slightly overcooked and rubbery. Custard I suspected was served on a syrup of gulab jamun.

Awesome restaurant. Service was really great. We had order a mutton soup and chicken chukka as starters followed by main couse as Veg kolapuri, chicken curry, kasmiri paratha, naan and malabar paratha. Every dish were spot on right from soup to chicken curry. Service was also really good. The day we went was little packed for them, still they managed really well.

Edit#1 : I visited this place a month later and found all staff wearing mask properly and so bumping up a start and I wish they maintain the same and provide better parking as well for everyone. Original :The food is as usual amazing and probably the best in coimbatore. However, the service can be so much better for the price. The manager does not wear Covid masks and engages in table pushing for people who come first to less used tables. Some table waiters are amazing and v caring while d others are not, needs more service focus for this pricing.

Had lunch at Bird on tree. Ambiance was awesome especially when u sit upstairs. Customer service was superb. If you are spicy food lover Fish N Fire is must try for you. Overall except paneer tikka all the foods we’ve ordered was good. Paneer tikka and Brownie with ice cream could have been better. Caramel Custard 😋

One of my favourite restaurants in Coimbatore. Chettinad, Chinese, continental , North Indian... which ever you choose, that will be the best. Lamb pepper fry must try and it's unique. Basmati rice briyani, fish and chips, chilli basil fish/chicken/prawns, coriander chicken, Singapore chicken/fish, Kara kozhi varuval and many more. In simple words - worth trying which is different from others. Carrot halwa with ice cream is the best.

Lovely to sit outdoor, do ask for the terrace for a splendid view of the lovely, old banyan in the Circuit House opposite! We tried the Chinese menu, with both Veg and BOT special Sizzlers, which were excellent, as were the egg noodle soup and recommended starters, 🦀 Claw and Thai curry. Service was prompt, attentive and discreet! Portions are quite large! Mud Pie and Apple Pie were excellent too. They also have plenty of parking in the courtyard, as also on the quiet street adjoining.

One of the best places I've been to in the recent times. Amazing clean place, good ambience and courteous staff. The food was one of the best indo Chinese I've had in the recent times. The manchow soup was perfect in thickness and taste. Rightly sour and my guess is they added a tinge of black salt which oomped the taste factor Starters : Malaysian corriander chicken, was a bliss of taste in the mouth. The perfection tinge of corriander flavor along with the spices was just amazing. Main ; Mongolian rice , my new favourite the mixed meat was just amazing , surprisingly the few mutton pieces in there was mouth wateringly juicy Staff were very courteous and they knew the menu , it was their suggestions which we ordered and it was to perfection.

I used to actually like Bird on Tree. But the quality of the place (ambience-wise) has dipped significantly since the first couple of times I’ve been there (probably 2019) — when I was actually impressed with the place (maybe you’re easily impressed when you’re younger?). I went back in Dec, 2023 — and, boy, did I find the place a tad gross (although the food was fine). It clearly needs better maintenance and better upkeep. To iterate, the food was good (bordering on great), but the ambience disappointed. Not the “fine dining” I expected :(

Cozy fine dine restaurant in cbe, the food taste delicious, wide variety of choices from South and North Indian cuisines, they got mouth watering desserts placed at the entrance, they got parking space and valet services, price is on higher side, nice spot to hangout with family and friends.

The food was quite okay. We went looking for a fine dining experience but got a rather 'okay dining' service. The grilled fish in lemon butter sauce was the highlight. Was really well prepared. The chicken steak was also quite nice. The American Chopseuy was not great, but probably the quantity compensated for the price. What was really disappointing was the Guntur Chicken Pulusu, which just felt like your normal chicken in tomato based gravy. I think the points go for their continental items and dessert. Tried their Caramel custard. You might want to skip the south Indian items if you're visiting for the first time.

Good Service and Quantity Went on for an official party. The food is good and the quantity is also more matching to the price. Budget of each variety is exceeding Rs.200/-. Service is also good. For Couples/ Family outside seating is also available. On that day we had an offer of 50% for 4 Pax. More varieties of Non veg. We have to ask how the taste will be before ordering, since many names are not recognizable. Overall its good for Office parties or Families to spend more for a special occasion with fulfillment.

Had lunch at Bird on Tree after a few recommendations in Coimbatore. It's cozyly nestled amongst trees and foliage with birds tweeting all the time. Labelled "Fine Dining", it's nothing close to it. Was gobsmacked by the food but the pricing was big-ticket. The staff were attentive patient and courteous. A gratifying place to spend time with family and friends.

On 10/12/2016, We had dinner with 11 of my team members and leaders. Paid 11K. just for reference. We have ordered Garlic Basil soup which is ok. Starters was Good.. We have ordered that Thai Red Curry and Thai Basil fried rice. Thai Red Curry was tasting very bitter and like chettinad gravy. None of us liked or had it. When asked about this to chef.. he is saying.. this is how we make, if u like u eat it like filthy attitude. About thai basil fried rice, they dont even know what its.. not even bit of basil on it. when we ask about that.. its what its..!? if u like it u eat it kind of attitude. Guys.. i have been 4 times, i liked it very much 1st 2 times.. last times within this year there quality and taste is coming down. pls Growup bird on tree. I never recommend or take my team/friends/clients to this place. if u know, how to make a dish then put it in the menu.. if not learn it.. if not atleast admit it and try to serve customers.

Worst place to visit...No proper preparation of food items...Kindly never ever plan to come with the family...They are using more oil and try to cook food in microwave oven...inferier Qual of spices as cardamom/ staranise /cassisa/ Totally disappointed...if you need a good place to just sit and chit chat be ready to spend more..But humble request is not to order food hear and spoil the health...Final info is that you don't have manager or owner around you to hear this...

Located in a calm and quiet neighborhood. The place had a nice ambience, but we were asked to park outside. The waiters were patient enough to explain each dish and the service time was good. Appetizers were delicious, and the quantity is good for two people. The food was good, but it definitely can be improved overall!

Service was a bit late. Atmosphere is ok ok. But the food is finger licking. As I am a bengali so there is a little extra space for fish in my heart and tummy both. I order baked fish with lemon butter sauce. And it was awesome. 😊😊

Loved their atmosphere, service and food was extraordinary. They had terrace seating and we enjoyed it. Not sure how it would be if there is going to be a crowd. They don't take reservations which is a minus for me. They had different menus like Indian, continental and Chinese so there were plenty of options to choose from. We spent Rs.2700 for 3.

Title: Mixed Bag of Experiences at BIRD ON TREE Rating: 3 out of 5 stars I recently had the opportunity to visit BIRD ON TREE and wanted to share my thoughts on the overall experience. While the hotel boasted a pleasant ambiance and enjoyable atmosphere, there was one aspect that fell far short of expectations: the popcorn chicken. Let's start with the positives. The overall taste and ambiance at bird on tree were commendable. The hotel exuded a charming atmosphere, with well-designed interiors and a welcoming staff. From the moment I entered, I felt a sense of comfort and relaxation, which added to the overall enjoyment of my stay. However, it is regrettable to say that the popcorn chicken I ordered left much to be desired. As a fan of this classic dish, I was eager to try the hotel's version. To my disappointment, the chicken didn't resemble popcorn chicken at all, both in appearance and flavor. The pieces were oddly shaped and lacked the crispy texture one would expect. The seasoning seemed inadequate, resulting in a bland taste that failed to meet my expectations. While it's possible that my experience was an isolated incident or a misstep in the kitchen, I believe it's essential to address this shortcoming to maintain consistency in their offerings. I hope the hotel management takes note of this feedback and takes steps to improve the quality and presentation of their popcorn chicken. Despite this setback, I would still recommend bird on tree for its overall pleasant ambiance, and other culinary delights that may prove to be more satisfying. The popcorn chicken may have missed the mark, but it is important to acknowledge the broader experience that this hotel offers. In conclusion, while bird on tree has several positive attributes, including a welcoming ambiance and attentive staff, the disappointing popcorn chicken served during my visit was a letdown and they didn’t even consider a return for the dish. I hope the hotel addresses this issue and continues to strive for excellence in all aspects of its culinary offerings. Disclaimer: Please note that this review reflects my personal experience at bird on tree and may not necessarily represent the typical experience of other guests.

No water and glasses on table, even after repeating reminders to waiters. Long cooking time. Mainly in non-veg. Very few items for vegan. Waiters enjoying in themselves, standing together and enjoying each other's company. Prices are very very high. Food was stale, as if cooked 2-3 days back. Daal was too thick. Only 1 waiter was serving the whole restaurent. So noisy from other customers. Non-decent crowd.

Starters good. But main dishes not good. Worst taste. Too late. Even we booked the order but we only received after nearly 45 min. They need to improve the timing and also teach some basic thing for servers. They won't even providing water before we ask them.

We had a lovely experience at Bird on Tree. To begin with, the ambiance is pleasant and calm sinxr the place is surrounded by trees. Secondly, we were served well and on time by the staff. Moving forward to the most important part of the review- food, it was great. We ordered- 1) Grilled chicken breast: The chicken was tender and the sauce was a great alongside it. The mashed potatoes had the right consistently as well. 2) Dragon Chicken: Most restaurants, fill the serving with large chunks of chicken but I loved the dish here at Bird on Tree as the chicken was once again tender within and fried well on the outside. They got the spices right too. 3) Stuffed Mushrooms: I personally loved the stuffed mushrooms for the lovely amalgamation of the flavors of cheese, mushrooms and a thin layered spicy crust. 4) Garlic Kulcha: The bread was a delight because it had ample amount of garlic in it. It was soft and buttery making it a great accompaniment to the Egg Gravy we had. 5) Egg Curry: The curry was a great mix of spices and perfectly boiled eggs. It blended well with the Kulcha. The gravy was not runny or too thick either. Overall, it was a great experience for us. In addition, the offers available are also attractive. So, if you are looking for a place to relax, unwind and eat good quality food, I suggest Bird on Tree.

Awesome Concept of having private dining areas. Perfect place to take out the family for a quiet evening dinner Loved the ambience created in a gated private property which feels cosy. The menu is diverse and will suit all palates I loved the Lamb dishes. Tender & spicy, it was a perfect combination. The paneer starter was succulent and melted in the mouth. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and would love to be back here for another rendezvous with the palate Would highly recommend to all fine dine connoisseurs

They have got a variety of menu. We went a group of 30People and got to taste mostly everything both Non-Veg and veg. Few dishes needs to be worked out. Talking about the taste of the it was good had a great experience. And they offer 50% off on lunch ! So it's a must go place and try some great variety of food. I felt the ambience of the restaurant can be more natural it doesn't go with the name to be specific. May be they can let few Ducks, Roosters and Turkey roam freely near the parking lot. Must go place I would say !

Tried South and North Indian dishes including Kebabs. None of the dish had any noticeable flavour. Lamb was overcooked and chewy, south indian mutton keema parotta was bland like a continental stuffing, caramel custard was curdled and still they served it to us. Worst food that is unreasonably expensive.

  • 5/5 Adarsh s. 3 years ago on Google
Very nice ambience. Nice food too.. One another thing to be mentioned are the precautions they have taken in this pandemic times. Really great. Only thing I would note down as a negative point is the waiting team. Yes, you might have to follow up on your waiter for four to five times to finally take the order. Please be prepared with some patience for it.

We ordered shepherds pie and it was nothing like a pie. It had gravy. The mutton in it was not cooked well. We had also ordered achari chicken tikka and that too was not good. Please improve your standards. The only saving grace was the Hawaiian salad.

Pros: Ambience Food selection/taste Cons: Overpriced Waiting (20-30 minutes mentioned in the menu) - gets on your nerves because you are hungry Service - really bad, you have to go fetch a waiter every time I'd honestly skip going here just because I didn't get the service I pay for. Food was good, but don't give you any dips unless you go behind and ask them.

The food was good but for service I'd give only 2 stars. They say it's fine dining but restaurant people must be trained for what actually is a fine dining. Waiters are handling and serving foods bit lethargically makes you feel uncomfortable. Overall ambience and location makes it good ,would've give easily 4 but service makes to give only 3.

Very Good food. Service could be bit better. Restroom cleanliness is really bad. A restaurant of this food standards should have been much more clean. There were some arguments in the kitchen among the staff which was a disturbance in the dining area. Overall can visit for the tasty food.

Good variety of food. Thumbsup for taste and ambiance too. Food delivery time is too long (min 20mins for each order) which a bit frustrating.

Located in the posh area. Bird themed restraunt. I loved their biriyani. Pretty costlier. Not suitable for the middle class people.

Good choice for continental dishes. Though the price is on the high side, quality and variety of dishes make up for a good experience.

Very bad service.we called to book a table and they said there is no need to book you can walking we have tables free. So we walked on and found all places filled. Now they told us to wait for 10 mins but gave us a table after half an hour. After we got the seat there was only half an hour left for hotel to close.so we were asked to order everything in one go and they waited for us to leave, didn't even get water on time

A little heavy on your wallet and stomach, but the place will not disappoint you in terms of food and service. The staff is gentle and is proactive in getting feedback. They provide menu over WhatsApp (fine for me, butkind of worrying for people who don't want to share their contact). The veg platter and paneer were great. Some corrections can be done on veg kolhapuri and kulcha as they were nowhere close to the real deal.

Dragon babycorn was just ketchup covered babycorn. Veg kholapuri was so flavourless. Food didn't have any aroma. The place was shabby too. Wouldn't come back. Just not what I expected after seeing reviews from CFG.

This place is just as awesome ad it could be it has sooo posh looking tables and chairs and the presentation of the food is soo neat and clean and the food looks a lot more tastier than it actually is. Al you have to do is just go there atleast once. You getting best premium feeling in the hotel. So the prices is as premium as the experience. But the money you pay is worth it even though it is expensive it is just worth it. Final thing when ever you got there don't miss the brownie with ice cream and sizzlers . This is the speciality of the hotel. IT IS WORTH IT!!!

  • 2/5 Varadhu D. 3 years ago on Google
We had cream of mushroom soup, salad and sizzler. Soup was too diluted and the salad had just lettuce (and large amount of mayo that made the salad taste very sweeter) and no other vegetables. These two dishes were hugely disappointing for us. But the paneer sizzler was better, might be because it came after the other two. 🙂

Had a full course meal from this place. First of all the ambience of this place is really good, even though located in middle of the city. It is a multi cuisine resturant having south indian, north indian, Chinese and continental. They don't have much to offer in the continental menu. Starters from Chinese is good. The south indian chicken gravy was also good. The quantity they serve for starters and gravy is for more than 2 people, so couples beware. The taste, service and hygiene was good. Cost was nominal. Overall a good place to dine.

This place is a bit on the costlier side but worth your money. Their fish on fire and jawa chicken lollypop are my favourite. They have chicken dosa but they don't offer you any chutney. They have place to sit inside, outside and in the first floor.

This place is very good for family dining. Has multi cuisine options. But continental is quite mentionable. The ambience is pretty cozy. And the food is all worth it!

Excellent food. The location is good. The order taker was helpful with suggestions. The servers and the clearance boys needs a little more training. Overall a good place to eat with family.

Good Taste. No menu card, online menu sent in Whatsapp. It'll take 20-25 minutes for the food to arrive, so try ordering in a single shot. Bit expensive.

Wonderful place and ambience. Food quality is superb. Price range is okay for upper middle class. I went with my friend and had a chicken soup, malaysian coriander chicken grilled lamb rack, chicken pasta, brownie with ice cream, a mocktail and it cost us Rs.2,300.

They have an elaborate menu, more so for non veg options, offering multi cuisines. There were two of us and we had dinner. We ordered hariyaali paneer tikka for starters (okayish) and mangolian mushroom (pretty good). For main course we had veg sizzlers which was good too. Overall, I felt they serve good Chinese, very distinct taste from all other places here so far. Their portion size was good and I found prices also reasonable. Their ambience was nice with quiet outdoor seating ( just a few mosquitoes as there are trees right within). They have indoor seating too.

It's a great place for an evening outing, but parking can be a challenge. It's recommended to make a reservation in advance. Prices are a bit on the higher side, and while the food is decent, it may not live up to the mouthwatering expectations. Nevertheless, the cozy and dim ambiance creates a warm atmosphere.

Would highly recommend their continental food and kebabs. The butter chicken here is rather distinct and personally, I loved it. A great fine dining option.

Could have mentioned the cuisine they are into. Not a big fab of their meals. Had lunch here. Couldn’t remember any taste. I prefer restaurants that give you that taste in your tongue even after you left that place. But best place to hang out with friend and family. Peaceful environment. Manager was not that polite. Acted like he owned the place.

Negative review Bird on the Tree Unfortunately did not have the best of experience which happened from the time we walked in. Lets go through the events: - Walked in at around 12:58PM and was told the only seating area was in the front against the dessert rack (our toddler did not want to eat food) so we asked for a different seat, was told to sit on the roof top. We said we can wait and take-up a seat inside the restaurant which was not encouraged. Disappointment #1 - We went up and immediately noticed that there was inadequate measures to make that area cool, we literally sat in almost 35*C with a ceiling fan just positioned incorrectly, Fine dine in the most uncomfortable set-up (I also noticed that the bill folder was torn and not up-kept and some of the places around was generally not looked after). Disappointment #2 - The dishes arrived cold. Disappointment #3 - The Chicken nuggets that were ordered looked more like goujons and were burnt. I specifically gave this feedback to the staff and they simply brushed my feedback away stating that they have been making nuggets this way for years and will continue to make them this way. Pic attached. Disappointment #4 - I requested for a refund for one of the Nuggets (goujons) as it was burnt and my kids could not have them, this was not encouraged due to them not able to return the KOT and cancel an item off the bill, this is a SHAM.. for a fine-dine place you should sort this out. Disappointment #5

We had a group get-together in this place. The seating arrangement wasn't enough. Very limited menu. Food when served wasn't hot. Portions were small. Service was poor. For the cost, it isn't worth the visit and definitely not a fine dine restaurant. Very limited car parking and due to single gate, it's difficult to enter / exit

👍 Good veg restaurant near the main Gandhipuram bus stand. The food was of good quality. The service is okay but there is a delay in getting orders. The place seems crowded always since it is in a main spot. Overall a neat and well maintained restaurant. Recommended for a good breakfast. Note :- maps...
