Not to its standard. This restaurant used to be great. It is very disappointing that the taste has gone down way far. Served cold dry biriyani, hard pepper chicken, unbaked onion dosa, very hard parota. As a source of relief were the dishes chicken lollipop and Chilli fish.

Had meals here, food served was not freshly cooked sambar, chutney, Sabji that were served with rice were cold. Ordered one fish fry with lot of expectation but it felt like the fish wasn't fresh even the fry was tasteless with no salt. My bill was around 400 didn't know why I went there. So much dissapointed wouldn't recommend anyone to come here.

This is my third visit to this place. Awesome biriyani and good starters, chicken 65 and mutton dishes are vere level: definitely try this one if you are here in Coimbatore. Very close to the railway station. Goli soda is also available a must try one.

We're regular customers to their R.S.Puram branch. But disliked this particular branch. We ordered Mutton Biriyani, Plain Biriyani & Chicken 65. Biriyani was very bad & it tasted like tomato rice. Mutton biryani just had 2 pieces. Chicken 65 was just okay. Gravy given for biriyani was not hot. The only good thing is the pricing. Moderate rate only & well affordable. But they should definitely improve their taste & ambience. You can try once & get disappointed.

I regularly have parottas here since I became an addict of it ❣️ that salana with parotta will cast Ilayaraja song in your ears And about meals at luch it's quite decent compared to other hotels And briyani 😐 I'm speechless again their korma has a dominant role here 😌

I had dosa , country chicken 🐔 curry 🍛 both are average only chicken masala load with garam masala and most of the pcs only bones 🦴👎 not worth for the money 💰

I bought a mutton biriyani & lollipop. Briyani is very dry and below average, the mutton pieces in the briyani i find only bones more than flesh.Its near to railway station but you have to go little interior to find this hotel.

Yesterday I had biriyani. I felt the smell was something wrong. Later I realised it was previous day's biryani, they just heated up and served. There is no authentic taste like before. Please don't fall fake postive reviews. This railway station branch is worst 🤢

Subbu Mess has been one of the best restaurants in Coimbatore for a reason. The parotta , biriyani with fish/mutton/nattu kozhi sides remain to be the best dishes. If you are near railway station it's totally worth walking 200 mts to the restaurant.

Nice place to have non veg dishes. Chicken lollipop, porotta, non veg fried rice and chicken curry were good. The place is neat and clean and the staffs are well mannered. Parking can be a bit hard to find for cars.

Had dinner once again after 21 years, food as the same taste as earlier. Gravy n varuval are unique, it's like grinded manually. Kadai taste is awesome, must try. Earlier this mess was located in a house with a lot of rooms, Now converted to the nice restaurant opposite to Railway station.

A reasonable and clean restaurant available close to railway station. Was not as crowded like the outlet in Gandhipuram.

Really one of the best choices for tasty delicious nonveg food near coimbatore railway station. Walkable distance away from station... well within 200m. Chicken Briyani served there was really good with moderate spice level.

We ate only non veg meals and kudalfry. Both are good and not sure of other items. Whatever we had was worth for money and taste is also good.

This restaurant is located opposite to Coimbatore railway station on a cut road that leads to several hotels. Whenever I find bit more time to catch the train after reaching the station, I used to try this restaurant. Had Briyani, Meals and tiffin items. All tastes good and at a nominal price. The service is fast. Sometimes, it is bit crowded.

Excellent nonveg treat and a special coimbatore tasty chicken, mutton... Mouth watering...

Asked around for a good place to have Non Veg food at Coimbatore near the railway station and everyone suggested Subbu Mess. Incidentally we were staying right next to it. Tried the biriyani which was spicy and what I expected from a Tamil Nadu Non Veg hotel. The rice was soft and meat pieces were very tender. Also tried Mutton Varuval, Kudal fry. The best thing was service and the way asked around for white rice after our biryani was over. We were served white rice and rasam. We returned for dinner and tried parotta, Chettinad chicken and Garlic chicken. The garlic chicken was a let down but everything else was a hit including the gravy they serve along with the parotta.

The food is good. The restaurant can get busy sometimes but it still won't feel crowded. The staff is friendly and helpful. There won't be parking spaces nearby but since the food is good you can overlook that. Great place to visit.

A very Shady place but the Chicken Biryani was AMAZINGG!

We ordered chicken biriyani and meals along with Vanjram fish fry. Hotel was very neatly maintained and food was authentic. Mutton, chicken and fish gravy was included in the meals along with vegetarian koottu,poriyal and rasam.All side gravies were thick and rich.Both biriyani and meals was yummy. Price is bit high.Fish rate was 220 per piece.

Subbu mess is located in Coimbatore at many places. I have tasted the railway station branch. Veg and non veg both are available.. parota is too good..if I am traveling, I will have night food from here.

Great Place for a chetinad cuisine dinner.... Recently had parotta with nattu kozhi fry.....The salna was great. the thick gravy from nattu kozhi was awesome

Had their chicken biriyani. It was not worth for 165 rs since they only give one piece chicken in the biriyani. Taste was average. Customer was ok. In kerala we get 2 piece of chicken even if it is 100 rs biriyani. Overall not satisfied.
