Below average.. Football ground..Not good Stadium is below average specifically tracks are not maintained properly. Tracks are not made to sync tracks. Bathroom and toilet facilities are bad, they are not maintained properly. Football ground is full of dust,chance for getting hurt. Indoor stadium attached is very poor quality, especially VOLLEYBALL and basketball ground. Badminton hall is obliged to sound and notice. Stadium should have proper management.

Parking Space insufficient Toilet maintenance fairly good Seating area - Viewing angle is great, but only cement beds Still a lot can be improved regarding Viewing Gallery upgradation with Chairs, Refreshment Counters, Neat toilets etc

We came for The MGR University sports meet. The stadium is awesome with its light settings, Proper equipments, the gallery, everything made the ground so good.

The Nehru Stadium which was venue for the 1970s and 1990s Santhosh Trophy Matches was renovated by Chennai City FC and is now fully equipped to conduct any national level matches. Though the renovation is not completed as planned, the stadium has floodlights to conduct match during night, new pitch, dressing rooms, match officials rooms, broadcasting rooms and other necessary facilities. The stadium has a capacity of 45000 persons and the fixing of seats are yet to be completed. When we pass by Gopalapuram which is almost can be refereed as the heart of the town we can see the stadium and there are too many commercial establishments around the stadium. With a planned facelift, the stadium can be upgraded to international standards for sure.
