On
july
17th
2020
my
husband
suddenly
had
seizures
and
became
unconscious
while
at
his
office.
He
was
taken
to
a
nearby
hospital
(
a
well
known
reputed
hospital)
and
was
given
first
aid.
After
that
he
was
diagnosed
for
a
benign
tumour
on
his
left
frontal
lobe
(
benign
convexity
maningioma)
.
He
was
advised
to
undergo
a
major
surgery
.
We
all
in
our
home
were
terribly
shocked
on
hearing
this.
I
needed
a
second
opinion.
In
that
evening
I
came
with
all
the
reports
of
my
husband
to
V.
G.
Hospital
and
met
Dr.
Venkatesh.
He
referred
me
to
one
Dr.
Murugesan,
the
neuro
surgeon,
who
is
a
visiting
Dr.
In
V.
G.
I
was
fortunate
to
meet
him
on
the
very
same
day.
To
my
surprise
he
told
me
that
the
surgery
can
be
performed
in
V.
G.
Itself.
The
consultation
with
Dr.
Murugesan
was
very
convincing
and
hopeful
for
my
dejected
state
of
mind
eventhough
I
have
not
met
him
before.
I
asked
him
to
prescribe
for
an
admission
provisionally.
Later
I
came
home
and
discussed
with
my
hubby
and
he
was
also
convinced
to
get
himself
admitted
for
the
surgery
in
V.
G.
The
next
day
18th
July
I
admitted
my
husband
in
V.
G.
All
preliminary
tests
were
taken.
The
surgery
took
place
on
21st
July
successfully.
It
took
6.5
hours.
The
size
of
the
tumour
was
as
big
as
a
cricket
ball.
The
biopsy
also
read
normal.
The
post
operative
care
in
ICU
was
excellent.
We
are
very
much
grateful
to
the
staff
there.
Even
after
shifting
to
the
ward
the
services
were
excellent.
No
hassles
in
discharge,
cashless
insurance,
lab
tests,
etc..Our
stay
was
very
homely.
The
garden
in
front
of
the
rooms
with
its
greenery
and
colourful
flowers
appears
very
pleasant
all
time.
The
highlight
of
the
whole
story
is
that
Dr.
Venkatesh's
gesture
towards
his
patients
and
their
family
was
awesome.
We
were
told
that
the
surgery
will
last
for
3
-4
hours.
The
surgery
started
by
2.00
pm.
I
was
waiting
in
the
lobby.
Dr.
Venkatesh
was
updating
to
me
about
the
patient
and
the
surgery
every
hour
after
5.00
O'clock
.
This
I
can't
forget.
This
shows
his
care
for
people
who
trust
him.
And
no
words
to
say
about
Dr.
Murugesan.
Both
the
Doctors'
care
made
us
feel
that
we
were
in
safe
hands.
They
will
be
always
in
our
prayers.
I
am
sure
we
would
not
have
enjoyed
so
much
care
and
concern
even
in
big
hospitals.
I
have
had
bitter
experiences
about
other
hospitals
too.
Once
the
patient
has
been
taken
to
the
operation
theatre
we
shld
wait,
wait
and
wait
anxiously.
There
would
be
no
information
about
the
patient.
I
once
again
express
my
thanks
to
all
medical
and
non
medical
staffs
and
Doctors
in
V.
G.
Hospital.
My
best
wishes
for
the
services
to
continue...
