The inventive and high quality food of this caliber was not expected in Coimbra. Very adorable restaurant in off a small street in a old rustic building. The decor is modern Portugese and had a nice outdoor covered patio. The service was knowledgeable and friendly. The best part was the incredibly delicious food. It’s one of the top 10 restaurants I’ve eaten at in Portugal. Looking forward to coming back when I’m in town.

Would give 6⭐ if I could. Fantastic food. The waiter takes his time for every table. Gives good advice and can answer questions when asked. The food arrived quick. Small menu but enough options to choose from. Enough vegetarian and of vegan options or easy to make it that way. Would recommend to book a table in advance especially during the weekend.

The restaurant has been opened for 2 months, I've been there twice already, I'm very glad I tried it in its early stages.. it's incredible. Great food, great dessert, great wine, great service. Tomas is an awesome and warm host. Try their house wine (from the chef's family vineyards). The pear dessert and the potato puree with the port sauce transported me. It's a simple, unpretentious, comfortable atmosphere with a seriously skilled chef and staff. It will soon be (if it isn't already) one of the best restaurants in Coimbra.

offers vegan options. we waited more than 1 hour after ordering our food. a loud exhaust pipe was passing above our table, with an opening on the window which makes that part of the restaurant so cold that we had to sit with our jackets on. the portions are ridiculously small for their prices. we asked for extra potato chips as a side after seeing how “not enough” the food was but we ended up canceling it because the waiter told us that the potatoes would take around 20 mins. the vegan mousse must’ve been the most overpriced thing on the menu. 5euros for a teeny tiny jar. unbelievable. we left the place hungry and went to mcdonald’s after. i’ve noticed later that they charged us extra 4 euros. (we paid divided) giving 2 stars since we were still served food and there was nothing rude or anything. we’re not visiting again.

What a little treasure! The food is delicious, healthier versions of traditional foods and the waitstaff are so helpful. We had the vegan cheese pastry bundles which you would never know was vegan cheese. And the vegetable fraciscinha which wad absolutely delicious. If I was here longer I would go and eat this every day.

I really loooooved that place!! Authentic Portuguese food but a bit healthier. the waiter was really helpful explaining us about everything in the menu, potatos roasted in combination with sweet potatos and the wine of the house was great as well. Could not recommend it more, the best place we ate in Portugal

The "Francesinha de Novilho" is quite small but is very tasty, and the meat is top quality. They went the "extra mile" today accommodate a group of 10, but the service was kind of slow. It was a good thing we ordered the kids menu as soon as we arrived.

What a delightful way to end the evening. Delicious Portuguese food in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. There’s only a small number of tables , so it feels a more personal dining experience. Our waiter was so helpful and friendly and we never felt rushed . The fig and goat’s cheese starter was worth the wait. And the Francesinha was very tasty and very filling. Definitely a comfort food. We had three different starters on a previous evening, and recommend the stuffed mushrooms as well as the vegan cheese sticks with agave jam and walnuts. Yummy 😋

Nice place seated in the cover outside back until the condensation on the roof started to drip on us no heating at all. The vegan cheese amazing but the shrimps took to long to arrive as a starter about 20 minutes after all arrived. Chorizo was dry and hard. A hit an miss on the plats. What killed us was the time to get the shrimps.

Small menu, delicious food, lovely albeit small interior and terrace. The vegan options were outstanding, and they also offer to make the Francesinha vegan. Recommend!

Had an amazing experience dining at Oak last night. We had the best garlic bread of our lives, FANTASTIC fish option of bacalhau and the deserts were amazing too. Éder took care of us last night and was outstanding! Highly recommend.

The manager/server Tomas was a gracious and helpful person who carefully explained the menu to us, even to warn us to not order too much food. Their versions of Francesinha, one with chicken, the other were veal, were delicious and filling. And while we are not vegans, they had vegan choices for all of their courses. We had a lovely dinner here and we highly recommend.
