Hidden gem!! Super amazing food!! Very cozy place, staff very friendly, (not much English). I tried soup of the day, grilled swordfish, and secret recipe black pig, so good!!! Seasoning, temperature are all very perfect, even the rice, potato and French fries!!! Must visit!! Also have very good WiFi! I’m so happy with this place!

Amazing place to have local food. The waiter was super attentive and fast. The cook came a couple of times outside to check that everything was good. Overall, excellent food, good prices and marvelous service

Typical Portuguese cuisine. The quantity is well worth it, we were two and we ordered just one main dish to share and very cheap! Lucia I believe is the chef/owner and Carlos were very attentive and checking on us all the time. We felt like locals! I will definitely come back and I would recommend it to everyone who visits Coimbra and wants to enjoy a real and authentic Portuguese food! Muito obrigada pela sua atenção!

Great place to taste Local Food, nice place in the narrow street. We ordered Calamari, Goat and Pudding Caramel, everything was great and tasty. Cheese for the starter also good. Definitely must try !!

Tried daily special rice with octopus, goat braised in red wine, and another daily special of pork with potato chunks and silver small clams. The food was delicious. Octopus was so tender, as was the goat. The pork dish was great as well. We appreciated the kind advice of the chef/owner as to what we should order. As at many other restaurants in Portugal, I wished that sides included veggies/salads rather than just rice/fries/potatoes. We saw a couple other tables raving about the house red wine. Didn't love that everyone was automatically given bread and cheese which they'd charge you for unless you sent it back as see did. The bill was also incorrect as we were charged 12EUR for the octopus dish rather than 10EUR as listed on the menu. We were glad we arrived as they opened as a couple regulars filled up the tables rapidly and there was only really space for 3 other tables that walked in. Others were sent away rather than being told they could come back in 15min or so when we were done. Cash only.

The two stars for the imaginary taste of the cuisine of this spot. Booked the place and canceled for no reasons. Defying all logical way of thinking: why allowing booking if only to be canceled next.

I tried the plate recommended by the waiter, Chanfana, a stew of goat meat with ted wine sauce! Excellent! 😻😻 so good, I forgot to take photos 😆😆

Small, family run, restaurant; down an alleyway but well worth finding. As other reviewers have said, the goat in red wine gravy was delicious. It was so good I asked for extra bread to soak it up so I can't comment on desserts as I was too full. The owners were very helpful and attetive to us.

👍👍 Just finished dining at Rui dos Leitões, and this is one of those places one must visit as soon and as many times as possible. We were heading up to the in-laws for new years, but had to stop for dinner, so we searched for a suggestion from Google. We stepped out of the highway and headed to Rui's....

😠 Total garbage!!! DO NOT EAT HERE. The food was so bad, I left without eating any of it. They have an ant infestation & bring food out with ants crawling on it. The food is low quality and not well prepared. They brought out a burger bun straight out of the bag raw, without being heated up. I don...
