We had a fantastic time visiting the vineyard and learning about the wine. They are a small producer. The wine is fantastic. One of the best visit we had throughout our visit in Portugal.

What a special experience. Rui was very responsive and communicative in setting up our day and time for the wine tasting experience. Upon arrival, the previous group was wrapping up and Rui invited us to walk through a bit of the vineyard. He joined us, shared about the vines told us a little bit about himself and asked about each of us. We then went inside and Rui took us through 5 wines. With each bottle he shared a story that drew us closer to the wine and the winemaker. Rafael, Rui's intern, was a joy. He took turns sharing about the wine and lighting up the room with his smile and laughter. By the end of our wine tasting experience we all felt connected to the place, the family, and their story. Thank you so much to Rui and Rafael for an incredible experience!

We’ve had a great experience being in the small wine cellar and hearing the story of Prior Lucas while tasting his wines. It is not always only about the taste and flavours of the wine but the story and background behind each one of them also makes it unique. We really enjoyed this experience and it is amazing to see how the wine maker shows the passion for his wines! Obrigado!

One of the best wine tasting experiences my wife and I have received. The quality of the wine, and knowledge of the vintner was exceptional.

Don't let the odd location fool you, Prior Lucas is well worth the visit for excellent wines and great conversation with the winemaker. Come here if you want to learn more about the Beira wine region without the pretentiousness often associated with the wine industry. I was particularly impressed with the regenerative and biodynamic vineyard practices!

We had a wonderful time at Prior Lucas Vinhos, stopping there on our way from Porto to Lisbon. We thoroughly enjoyed Rui Lucas' stories about his wine's origin, his brand and his business. The wines were delicious, and we ended up buying a few bottles to take home with us.
