It was the worst drive through . First the Lady who took our orders didn’t have any politeness or manners. She didn’t even take our orders properly or said anything about shortages of drinks and when we wanted to add some more she just send us away. At the counter the staff said there was no bottle coke and just gave us cup coke whereas we had order bottle coke also which was nothing but water and the hot chocolate was made of skim milk although the order was of full cream and taste horrible. They should do there job properly because people pay. And people uses drive through so it could be easy and reliable and we cannot go back and reorder. Waste of money.

The floors are disgusting. Staff were very smug and one kept giving filthy looks and whispering to other staff, they really need to learn respect. Also saw an open energy drink on the counter on the staffs side.

When you go to a McDonald's you expect a certain consistency between locations, but the one in Colac is well below the average in terms of quality. I've experienced hard and chewy chicken, bad coffee, a burnt burger with a tiny single piece of soggy, sad-looking lettuce, a McRib with sauce that tasted like it was watered down and I don't think they've ever actually given me the full portion of fries that I paid for - the box is always half full. Saved from being a 1 star review only because the girl with the tattoos is nice and they have very fast WiFi.

Cleanest, sweetest smelling McDonald’s ever!!! Showroom condition. It’s like they’ve never had an internal customer. Great job people.

My family and I came here for a tea with my brother and his family. Our children were playing in the playground and there was a traffic cone in there which many children played with during this time but my nephew was trying to remove the cone and a staff member instead of calming talking to him full on yelled at him he needs some training in how to deal with children as this is unacceptable! There was a complaint made by other children about the cone being thrown around and instead of asking my nephew if he was doing that which he wasn't the worker a male they should check the cameras full on snapped at him snatching the cone and yelling at him. He shouldn't be allowed to treat children like that or anyone for that matter very poor customer service!! Will never eat in again at Colac mcdonalds staff need some hospitality training.

Consistently bad service, rude and slow service, store is a mess and manager who I have reported to head office in another town is now continuing to be unpleasant and rude at this store in Colac. Today, once again I now expect order to be wrong, and surprise, surprise half of my order forgotten & had to go back in to get it corrected. I got a “sorry ‘bout that” said to me while turning around and then had the fries chucked in my now, cold bag. Happens every SINGLE time.

Suppose to be 24hrs. Rocked up at 9:45pm. Wouldn't even let Ambulance Officers inside to order or use the bathroom. Do better Colac McDonalds.

Just bloody terrible!! Waited till the end of packing my order which took much longer than it should have to tell me the frappe machine wasn't working, replaced a frappe with a latte that was made with burnt milk ( so was the Cappuccino i ordered ) then gave me my order without the chips and the glass had to ask for them plus ask for straws, Nuggets were inedible, the snack wrap tasted off and stale. Then when I went to go back in to use the toilet and Change my baby, the door to the store wouldn't open and the staff just stood there laughing at me while I stood outside in the cold with a baby. The sign out front says 24 hours but the store was closed and in darkness by 9pm

Tonight I went to see a movie and I thought we’d get dinner at McDonald’s colac walked down from the cinema expecting to go inside and Order but to my surprise doors are locked and drive thru barely running and I see one person inside the kitchen and it’s only 11 pm when it advertises being open 24/7 like seriously get more staff or just don’t false advertise foods. good at times so that’s why there’s a 2 star. And also put more then one pickle on there for Christ's sake and also train your employees properly

Don't know what's happened but the quality of the food is not up to its normal standard. They need to fix this. We've always loved coming back here for the delicious fish and chips, but! As we said fix this problem or they will loose customers 🙄 😒

It was worst in Mc Donald's. I didn't expect this type of hygiene. Service was poor even ITS NOT BUSY THERE. REQUEST TO NEED TO IMPROVE IT.

Hygiene was not upto the mark, I understand it gets busy at peak times, but you have to have staff to maintain the place at all times. No vegetarian options was a big drawback.

We were waiting for ages for 2 drinks and 6 nuggets. Our number was never called and when I went to ask the manager he argued with me insisting the number had been called. I was there the whole time and they did not call it. They hadn't called it because the drinks had not been prepared either. When I asked about that...they messed up that bit of the order too. Omg what a painful experience.

They're alright, but they often forget a large quantity of items in the order. They also don't do frappes which is weird because in places like Geelong most times I could get one.

Food was overcooked and dry. They were busy for breakfast, so would have thought that regular turnover meant food freshly cooked food - but clearly not. It was like they were serving Sausage & Egg Muffins leftover from the previous day. There was a queue of people, but 4 or 5 staff were just standing around casually chatting amongst themselves. Poorly managed, and not up to normal McD standards.

Went through drive through on way back home. 2 lanes open but only was was moving. It took 4 cars in other lane going through before our lane started moving. Then when I got my order I had a hair in my wrap, thinking it could've been mine I took another bite to get another 2 hairs in my mouth.... 🤮 🤮🤮 threw my food out

Very disappointing. Came through drive through and got food and coffee. My large coffee was half foam and incredibly light with barely any milk in it. When I politely asked for a new one as it was half foam the girl presenting was quite impatient and impolite. She got me a new one and refused to take the old one back. We’re on a road trip and don’t have the cup holders to hold a coffee that needs to go in the bin. Honestly it’s not that hard to take it and put it down the sink and in the bin. I work at a McDonalds and it’s basic politeness and customer service. Our chips were also cold. Please teach your staff to be polite to customers and not to treat them like an inconvenience especially when it was your mistake

Driving through Colac Vic thought I'd get a meal deal" big mistake" the attitude & rude staff there was an eye opener to say the least!! Wow" how not to treat customers? To top it off" on saying to the girl not enough fries as had (small) white paper bag in my medium order, should have been red box (medium) she grunts & reached in hurled them into bin & got me the same again (white) chucked them in angry, rolled the eyes & stormed off" amazing still wrong!! Just left" I mean hello???

I was very disappointed, I had just driven for over 2 hours to arrive in the area and we were starving too. The food was a big let down, our fries were cold, the burger dry and stale plus my order wasn't even right. Safe to say not returning

Totally disappointing. Chose to dine in with children for a quick diner but had to take out burgers to catch our tour bus after almost 30min waiting time, and we didn't even get our drinks! This store simply was chaotically operated and organised at the time we visited. Unhappy staff, Discriminating duty manager, Foods badly packaged and thrown in bag, Kiosk run out paper, All drinks put on table without any order...

OK but rather slow they need quite a few more people to deal with peak demand your often quicker during peak times to not use the drive-thru the pre-order using the app and pickup inside. I would order 10-15 minutes ahead of scheduled pick up as their time to process a order can vary considerably

Looked at the reviews before I came it is 1pm really busy. The problem is the entree and drive through its bad. The design of the biluding is shock just no enough room for cars and staff to work lots of stuff just no room to add more for many people to work

Understanding there’s a staff shortage and opening hours have been reduced. We went to grab some sundaes via the drive through at 8:45pm. Sat in the drive through at the end of the driveway for 45 minutes. Watched a worker waiting to put the barrier up for half an hour. No communication from him, he was young. After 45 mins he put the barrier between my and the car in front and walked off. I also watched cars stuck inside the barrier drive through. Abysmal customer service. Close off drive through much earlier and make people walk in at the very least. Then communicate with people who walk up to the door that you have to close early. Change google too, it says 10pm but I haven’t been able to get served that late for months now. I get it’s tuff at the moment but please manage the shortage better and do the right thing by your customers.

One of the best places at Colac to have a meal. Been to Colac for some work by train. It was raining and extremely cold. Went to this McDonald took a meal with coffee, and sat there for an hour, warm and comfortable. It's a busy place. Drive-thru was busy when checked. The staff is quick, friendly and helpful. Charging slots are available for a few seats. Love to visit there again.

food is always on the cold side😠girl on drive threw taking order & payment was not at all enthusiast about her job let alone did she have any manners 🤨. only good thing i can say is young lady on second window giving out orders was very efficient well manned and smiling😊. i spoke to manager anout first girl & he told me that he has had complaints about her in the past & that he would be speaking with her about the matter👍. lets hope next time will be better 🤷‍♀️& 🍔food hotter🍟 😋. ♍

My favourite maccas in Australia. A great pit stop from metropolitan Melbourne to the great ocean road. So far from this institution I have ingested a mcchicken meal and hotcakes. The former very late at night and the latter very early in the morning.

I would have given more stars for there decent coffee which I was not expecting from Macdonald's. Usually it's not worth of buying coffee from Macdonald's. Anyway nice and clean macdonald's in Colac. Washroom was clean. Only issue I had was using there machine for self order which first took too long to accept my card than didn't print the order receipt. Worst staff was refusing to accept that payment gone through. Luckily I had taken snap of payment confirmation which they have to accept as proof. Worst experience ever with payment at Macdonald's seriously no apology from manager. Will never use these machines at Macdonald's again.

Well everybody loves McDonald's it's tasty and convenient . There is always a line up though the staff at Colac McDonald's have always had and still do have a great reputation. The shop itself has had multiple upgrades over the years . Bigger playgrounds and function rooms have had upgrades at least 3 - 4 times that I recall . There was no outside seating for a period though it does now and offers shade and protection with raised garden beds and bike racks .the drive through has had as many upgrades also and has to lanes and is covered in from the weather. The waiting bay is bit small ,always has been but the staff are great and you never wait very long .it does lead then straight out onto Murray Street and is busy .there has never been an accident that I can recall. Busses park close on both sides of the street and either side of the intersection. The traffic lights are well ministered offering turning vehicles right way passage. Colac has a great McDonald's it really does. Keep up the good work 😃
