Good shopping center. Only wanted Primark. Really on a sight seeing trip. Handy to have shops near so many other attractions and open space.

Yes it's a shopping centre but with a difference. It is well stocked with all the city centre shops but is wrapped in fantastic architecture from ground to rooftops. Lots of interwoven paths lead the shopper around and at nearly every corner is a building of interest from ancient to modern and the odd church. Full of cafes to take a break and plenty of seating dotted around, I find my shopping trips all the more pleasant due to the surroundings. Fully recommended for your shopping trip in Colchester.

Was clean and not too busy with an OK range of shops. Easy access to surrounding shops making it a pleasant day out shopping. Loved this section decorated with hanging bird cages with knitted birds in them. Very clever. Parked at the NCP behind Fenwicks. Roughly 5min walk from there (assuming you don't stop to do or browse all the cool stuff in Fenwicks!!)

It's got pretty much everything but a supermarket. Nothing fancy or exciting. Mostly uncovered walkways with street vendors all over the place just next door. Seems to have a LOT of coffee shops in the area. Seems like people in the area are very tired.

Plenty of Christmas decorations all around the area, lots of people doing shopping for presents and so much music as everywhere seems to have the need to play christmassy music as loud as it can be. Too noisey for me but still plenty of people trying to get their shopping done.

Great time drinking mulled warm cider and listening to Jam Jar. Followed by Rock Choir singing. Fabulous evening!

Whenever I'm im Colchester I like to do some shopping here. A good variety of shops, cafés and restaurants can be found and there's also pleasant music playing while you're there. If you want to buy some street food there are benches where you can sit and munch on your lunch 😄 to the music while people watching. The location is perfect as you can visit Colchester Castle Park after shopping as it is a very short 3 minute walk away.

Colchester wasn't crowded when I went and it was very clean, in retrospect. I don't remember seeing any litter. Parking was easy (multi storey) and not too expensive to park for a whole day considering the proximity to the centre. The centre itself wasn't too hard to navigate. There's lots of choices in shops, both the smaller independent, (giving Colchester some individually) and the larger chain stores - everyone expects. This, I believe gives a good variety for everyone. Prices of items I looked at appear to be normal and not inflated. It was a pleasant, easy day and all the shop owners/staff were friendly and helpful. Will go again.

Apart from the disruptive teenagers trying th break things its pretty good. Got security there so any problems they r pretty in sorting it out. Today wen I was there 2 people were apprehended for shop theft.

A very nice composed shopping centre where you find almost all you need for daily shopping and more. The atmosphere is charming with buskers playing music and with several nice cafés, pubs and restaurants where you can enjoy a pint or a snack after shopping. Visit Colchester and enjoy Lion Walk

I’m at a shame there are so many empty shops in Colchester. Something needs to done to rejuvenate the town.

Reasonable amount of shops here. Miss the Debenhams store. Still a good place to visit. A few places to get food and drink.

Too many empty shops. A shopping centre that lacks heart considering it is Britain's oldest town ( City). Sadly it is typical of a disjointed town. Sorry.

Pretty good, shops do come and go quite a bit here. The best shop is definitely game however :-)

Extremely disappointed that since the renovation of the toilets in Lion Walk, there is no longer 24hr access to the disabled toilet. Also the female toilets have gone from around 10 cubicles to only 4, meaning that there is always a queue to use the services. Colchester council have succeeded in making these facilities worse, well done.

Really enjoyed spending the day in Colchester and the Lion Walk Shopping Centre. So much to see in a small area as well as visiting the castle. Lovely country feel. Will be coming back again.

Lovely little shopping area. Some shop units were empty but had some nice boutique shops with beautiful items. An easy cut through to get to all the shops and was tidy and we'll kept.

Favourite place in colchester. Cute cafés and bakeries. Nice place to walk around. If it’s raining that’s not a problem since there is a roof.

Lovely area in the center of the city! Always kept lovely and clean. Nice load of shops and of course can't forget the Red Lion Hotel there! (Also a Red Lion hair dressers) not that I have yet to visit. I do remember when stayed in the red lion hotel they bragged about having a hair dressers with prices etc. Worth a visit! :)

A pleasant walk around this shopping area. Men, you can wait in one of the many drinking establishments on the High street.

A couple of empty shops unfortunately but the walk has an ambiance that leads you into the heart of the town. Decorated beautifully

👍 Nice range of shops including H&M and tkmaxx. There is also costa which is a lovely coffee shop. It is a shame Debenhams has shut but a new shop will take its place!!!!! Nice seasonal additions such as deckchair seating in summer and a fairy Castle at Christmas

😠 The entrance and exit is the most shameful design known to man. Who ever thought this was a great design needs to go back to school. Writing this review whilst trying to get out, been stationary for over 20 minutes, what does that say about the environment! Totally unacceptable.
