Fun place to learn about one of my favorite presidents and his family. The guide at the park was very nice and spoke about how the park is during the time of Lincoln and how they try to show that during the months they have exhibitions. Such a wonderful, clean, interesting park. Well worth the short dri e from the highways.

Much of it is reconstructed, but it's done well. It's informative and the folks know their history. It doesn't have much to do about Abraham Lincoln as this is not his farm and he didn't reside there. However, it's helpful here to understand some of the rural beginning of Central Illinois we forget about. Not perfect as with many historical retelling, but solid and a good stop. Also, does not charge admissions, so well worth it and worth a donation.

We didn't go during their live season, so we had a self guided tour. There is a small museum in the visitor center. Volunteers are super friendly. For us, it was just too cold and rainy to explore all of it, but we did get to see the Lincoln house and its farm. Some adorable little farm animals as well. We did enjoy our visit.

This place is very much off the beaten path but it is very well maintained and full of information. My wife loves all history things and made this a stop for an hour or so and it was completely worth it. Definitely give this place a try. Lots of history. And the guys at the visitor center was full of knowledge and information on everything. Sorry I didn't take better and more pictures.

Enjoyed the short video and museum quilts, spinning wheels, looms, etc. Had forgotten Lincolns childhood home is in Kentucky so a bit misled by "Lincoln Log Cabin". It was his father's home that he visited often. Would liked to have seen the interior.

Very historical places to see! Very interactive as well. The only bad thing was the mosquitoes in the bathroom!

Nice displays in their visitor center showcasing the mid 19th history of Central Illinois plus a number of phenomenal period quilts, an active period farmstead with a few chickens, sheep (see their new lamb!) plus, well groomed shaded trails through mixed hardwood forest, wetlands, and open fields. Good for all ages. Donations appreciated (but not required).

We love going to walk around the grounds. They always have fun festivities for the whole family and it's close. We'll both going to check them out!
