I would give zero stars if it were an option. My apartment has not had working AC for a week. In the hottest month ever recorded. My roommates and I have gone to the office four times and it has still not been fixed. They stated they were going to put AC window units in our apartment, and yet a week later… still nothing. We have also had a broken lock on our front door for almost a month that they have not fixed. Their front desk employees are not knowledgeable about the property or maintenance issues and are always just sitting on their phones. Residents are not treated well.

Do not lease here. Moved in to a filthy carpet with plastic beads, showing they did not clean the carpets they make exiting residents pay for, grease caked on the stove, dirty counter and oven (even though one of my previous roommates still resides in the apartment) broken dishwasher for 4-5 months, and dirty common area. AC was broken for months and management’s resolution was to put window units in the apartment for months as well. Moved out of the apartment I was in much better condition than what I moved into. I got my final account statement of $555 and sent an email on September 13th in regards to the “damages” that were charged to me, even though I moved in with these damages and still have no received a response.

The management at The Cottages is the same as 2818. To say I’ve had a horrible experience is the understatement of the semester. I have been scammed out of $1800 because of Courtney S (community manager at 2818 and ParkWest) and regional manager Donna S. I am putting this review on The Cottages as a resident of 2818 because I don’t want any Aggie families to go through the same thing I did with the same management, if you would like to see my experience at 2818, can read my review on 2818’s Google review.

The Cottages is the best place to live in Collage Station. The apartments are clean,, well kept, and comfortable. The pool and club house are second to none. I enjoy watching A&M games in the club house when I'm not able to attend. It really feels like a home away from home.

Horrible place to live, Been here for 2 years now and I will not make the mistake of resigning!! The smoke detector alarms went off because it was raining and blared beeping from 2 AM to 6 AM. And that was just this year. Last year there is a whole month where would not stop every day at the same time for about an hour. They charge you $65 to carpet clean and I can guarantee you the carpets are not. The maintenance is terrible about getting anything done unless higher up people are coming and then they will get it done as they can. My apartment door wouldn’t lock for a month and then they finally came after complaining every single day. NOT TO MENTION there were squatters living in a house across the street from me on the main road, smoking weed and cigarettes all throughout the house seeping through the walls. And they had firearms on them, and pulled a gun out at the pool. But what is the management do? Nothing they just tell them to leave and decided to not tell any of the residents about this.( I found out because I knew someone that was living next to them that had weeds with seeping through walls) The air vents are also disgusting and apparently that is not a top priority for them to change even though you can get so sick from breathing the air in. Whenever I looked at mine, it was completely black.

The place itself is decent but for 800 a month per room I would expect the front gate to close, the sauna to work and maintenance to be quicker. It took a month for them to come and change LIGHTBULBS! I used to live at the London and even their maintenance would be there within the week.
